  1. Where is my mind? A "My mind" is really part of the mind...
  2. Wild cats

could be the genetic memory? Anyway it seems those size of teeth are a little overkill but evolution had a reason for it back then...
  3. Wild cats

I can eat the big ones but miss out on the mice since my teeth really get in the way....
  4. An "as you wish" does not apply to a Self Realized/acting being since with them a personal "you" is no longer in force, thus they serve and act per Spirits wishes so to speak.
  5. Phrases we never want to hear again.

    "I'm a very stable genius"
  6. The Only Constant Is Change

also, the only constant is constant
  7. The Only Constant Is Change

umm, this does not look like a rabbit hole thread, but whatever works....
  8. Wild cats

so does science happen to know what a cats vision is like compared to human vision? (advantages or disadvantage to cats eyes compared to ours?)
  9. Christianity

I don't see suffering (in Christianityity or any other path) as a virtue, but how one acts or reacts to it could be virtuous, For example there is what Jesus said (and felt) during his suffering, "forgive them Father for they know not what they do". Btw, a master soul can mitigate the karma of another, but they never speak of such private matters or make a show of the cost of suffering which they may take on. For example: "Neither go into the town," commanded Jesus, "nor tell anyone in the town" to the blind man who had his sight restored.
  10. Christianity

"God" can't punish us (through karma) near as well as we can punish ourselves...
  11. Christianity

I'd say throwing one self into suffering could become a slippery slope, not unlike throwing oneself into most any form of extreme ascetism. Btw. Jesus also said, "my yoke is easy" which speaks to me of one interpretation of having a non-obsessive attitude about any form of suffering. (which does not mean non-caring)
  12. We have a vaccine!

right it should not be doctors but the legal system for those that break the agreed upon laws.
  13. Christianity

Umm, forgive for me dropping in where I have not been involved but I'd say that "Gods" with an 's' is still not non-duality. (for even gods are still evolving souls (with an 's' ) that have attained the casual realm. (aka as Brahmaloka in Hinduism) Btw, there are a lot of takes on non-duality that don't fully agree with one another...and never will.
  14. Favorite sacred texts

The Upanishads because they point to truths and the Truth to me. (plus many of the Hindu Saivite teachings) The T.T.C. because it also points to truths and the Truth to me. Several books in the Bible because they point to many useable truths (although I feel there are contradictions and dichotomies in the Bible as a whole) and because of the of NT "Sermon on the Mount" by the golden soul Jesus, (and many of his other teachings which are inspirational) many misc. teachings from American Indians, Hawaiians, "occultists", Mr. O, Shamanism, Egyptian, various western mysticism teachings, astrology, some Zen and a little "new age" stuff thrown in.
  15. It is known

Hey Nungali, I believe the T.T.C. describes and goes well beyond of just having a "benevolent dictator"... although even that would be a big leap up from a lot of what is in the world right now!
  16. We have a vaccine!

those who willfully ignore simple precautions like distancing and masks should be legally recorded as doing so and then put on the bottom of the cue to get medical care for covid since they are willfully putting medical people and everyone else in danger through very risky, arrogant and ignorant actions as proven by common sense medical science that doesn't need a PHD to understand. (the details of this idea would take a lot of work to put in place but it seems just to me )
  17. Jesus Christ

to know particular details of any path it would have to be walked...granted some beginning information and concepts could be had but that is only what's on surface.
  18. Ohm Tat Sat (part of the analogy fits, do you have any electrical background? Btw, another term used in electricity and also in spiritual teachings is synchronize)
  19. pardon me for i have not read the thread but I will say that spiritual forces forces are protected by "inductive reactance", a term used in electricity which I'm submitting as an analogy.
  20. Pranayama and breath holding

in that case more than just the purely physical aspects/benefits of hatha yoga would have seemingly been going on? (as you imply to me by mentioning kundalini. I've seen public beginner classes like that where they get into breath or pranayama methods beyond regular natural breathing)
  21. Pranayama and breath holding

booty cultivation is generally safer than dabbling with breath and or siddhis, is it not?
  22. Pranayama and breath holding

if we can't be there personally as a qualified guru for someone why openly imply the use of these particular yogi methods or anything beyond the yama and niyama precepts?
  23. De-caf question?

Does anyone know if there is something about de-caf that is harder on the system than regular coffee? I've been buying organic de-caf thinking it might be healthier yet it still causes troubles in my lower tract to the point where I may have to give it up. Thanks for any info.
  24. Pranayama and breath holding

who is going to be there to personally oversee or help a wana be dabbler that could easily get in trouble with this stuff, Dwai?
  25. De-caf question?

Does anyone know if microwaving coffee or tea destroys some of their properties? (seems like it could)
