  8. New here

Falun gong is a very effective chi gong. The reason for the suppression of the Chinese government is because the group is getting too big. As I recall, a member just made one phone call to other members to go practice at Beihai Park (北海公園) , There was about ten thousand members showed up in a very short time. Hence, the government did not like that too much. That was why the suppression took place.

  10. Hello Everybody

Hi Victor: Self-taught is fine. You just need to know and understand the basics and concepts. I meant a real thorough understanding. Don't just follow along with everybody's saying. Such as jumping from one system to another or mixing the systems. It is better to know what you are looking and how to get there. Then, stick with it. People have different idea about Qigong, Yoga and breathing. Some people say the breathing has nothing to do with Qigong. That is one thing I cannot agree with. It is because that is not the Chinese definition of Qigong. The people in the west called anything Qigong. This is sad news for me.
  11. That is how we address the higher feminine authorities. Like a queen or deity. Daniang is to address the elderly women with respect.
  12. Breathing technique?

OK, you can breathe deep down to your abdomen. Now, you have a baseline for your breathing practice. You may stand up or sitting down. Here is your breathing technique: 1. Breathe softly, smoothly and very slowly. Your abdomen will expand slowly as your breath goes down deeper. 2. At the point that you cannot breathe any deeper, at your baseline, it's time for you to exhale slowly. 3. After your abdomen is fully expanded, then, exhale slowly until your abdomen is fully contracted inward. 4. Repeat steps 1 to 3. If you get used to this breathing habit, then, you do it 24/7. You will see some changes in your health after few months. Note: The contraction and expansion of the abdomen will, also, help you to massage the internal organs and prevent constipation.
  13. Breathing technique?

May I ask are you having problem in breathing or the breathing method? You sound like you are having problem in breathing and need some herbs to cure it. Problems with breathing is better to cure with a breathing method but not herbs. You still did not answer my questions in the above post.

  19. LDT Breathing in Plank (and other) position/s

During the breathing practice in meditation, that is when to focus on the LDT. Once LDT breathing was established, it was said one has "sink chi to the datian (氣沈丹田)". LDT breathing which is 24x7, once one can establish it as automatic. This is the highest realm one try to reach It is what qigong is all about. In addition, if one has this notion established in one's mind, all the other practices will just fall in place with no doubt.
  20. This is a good start on your thinking so far.
  21. LDT Breathing in Plank (and other) position/s

Any physical body practice can be explained and justified with modern science. Anyone can breathe upside down or sideway, the body will still function the same. One might get a different name to any method. Nothing can contradict modern science. Since this is a spiritual site, people can believe and claim anything they want as long they are happy with it. IMMHO If one can justify any practice method with a good understanding, then, it will be more effective and appreciative. Since you had mentioned qigong, I can explain why and how it works substantiated with modern science. If you follow my posts, you will know what I mean. Qigong is a breathing method, I am only stay with this method is suffice. There is no need to go into other breathing methods. They are just being called by other names but still bring oxygen to the body cells. The feeling one might have may be different. However, the body is still function the same way.
