I used one of the Chinese terms, just to keep to the same nomenclature. Makes things easier for me 😁

Yes I have a practice. Ahhh! That is a big one. Many have tried, most annoyed everybody else I am aware that there are many ways of seeing this, so I will refer to a Damo Mitchell podcast for some of the major issues. I have some views quoted somewhere in my PPD as well, to show that I do not think that one way of seeing it is the consensus among traditions and teachers. Now, in my personal view, when I do a practice that embraces Reversal, creates Spiritual Water, and so on, that is (the start of) Nei Dan. If I don't do that, I do very useful practices that enhance sensitivity, health, might be useful for martial practice if it wasn't for the fact that I no longer practice for fighting ability, enhance my ability for Stillness, and so on. My teacher always referred to those as "qigong", as far as I can remember he never used the term "nei gong".

Nosebleeds and symptoms overuse of power

A flat nose? -
I think we are close on the lower alchemy method, I would stick in a couple of things as a middle method in order to be able to do the higher version, and as a result of that I'm not sure I would describe the higher version in the way you did (but trying to describe that is sort of difficult, yes?). And I remain unsure if one can see any of that in a low quality vid with focus on the hand, and be able to differentiate it from a physical powered move or a move powered with some nei gong training. But I also accept the futility of having these distinctions, because one mans Nei Dan is the other mans Qi Gong.

Ah. We have different ideas of the concept, that explains why I could not follow your thought.
-
Can you write more about your thoughts on this? I used to do IMA so I have some experience of fajing, and I have some experience of alchemy stuff, but I am not sure how you connect them together.

Based upon the information @Tombajo has given us here, the vids shows how to relieve "stick shift cramp". And, if it is like you have implied and we are having a loving conversation with Joel (edit) , maybe you should understand that in this place, your bio doesn't stand out. There are persons here who have practiced since the 60-ties. Having learned from masters in different countries, well thats 13 on the dozen here. Personal student, having generation numbers, stuff like that, its not really impressive here. Awakening experiences, mystical union, same there. It's no big deal, because there are also many here who have long time relationship with teachers that have all that and more. So most don't brag. Most don't compare. And few try to go out the back and fight it out. And quite a few here have the understanding of how their methods work, in classic theory as well as in actual practice. Feel free to join in, find a topic to discuss. But come with challenges? Cmon, who cares? I mean, really?

No. Most people would say you have to cultivate your light body, also called yang shen in this context. And a person could do a wonderful punch without that being correllated with spiritual training.
-
I hope they are not "private", since one of the practical subjects @Tombajo has discussed is the method of driving with stick shift... Looking forward to see these vids, with scientists and medical doctors present to do their best to rule out fraud.

So, what can little old arrogant you do, that is relevant to the great goal of Awakening, Liberation and shedding the husk?

I probably lost those goodie-points with my little frog image. To not swirl further into darkness, I am sitting and drinking some tea while NOT quoting a poster who unintentionally was very funny.

Where did you learn Microcosmic Orbit ? (Books, DVDs, schools, teachers)
Cleansox replied to mizpulyn's topic in Daoist Discussion
Oh, that was just someone who decided to tell another bum off in two separate threads. Call it spill-over. -
So, to get goodie points, I have to find the place where the rainbow manifest on earth, I have to turn the other cheek (or two), AND @liminal_lukewas dragged in as an example. And then the bike. If this was a riddle, the answer would be the Blue Oyster Club? Are you sure this is not naughty points? 😁

Don't worry, noone here will discuss systematic processes in detail. Most that actually got a clue, believe that one have to earn that knowledge by effort. That's why we can discuss lineage and abstract systematic processes, it is like a friendly martial drill where we test if the other part knows the same basic moves, if the other part has learned other strategies, or if we accidentally smack the other persons head.

🦆 Or perhaps another animal with a similar sound. 🐸 There is already a quantum based Nei Dan manual available as a pdf online @Tombajo, so you might be a tad late on that specific money train.

Your posts are somewhat difficult to comprehend, is this then the description of a level or training method within the system he teaches? And if so, why compare that to a different system? If you have read any books on the subject, you know that it is not the end teaching. And if you haven't, you have had an invitation in this thread to discuss this further. But you seem rather uninterested in developing this further.

1) Post more about it in the general section and wait until a member of SOMAD contacts you. 2) Cross-reference McMillan's and Danaos' books with Damo Mitchell's material and have a go by yourself. Might want to master the "ignore" function if you pursue option one, although mods are hard on "instructional posts" these days so that might not be needed.
-
Hi mod squad! If we can get naughty points, can we get goodie points when we refrain from calling a total bozo a total bozo? Just asking, not really relevant to any situation happening right now.
-
Sighs. I realise we just missed the chance to discuss the methods and core texts of the southern method with a genuine Xian, willing to share the depths of ancient daoist (mixed with other stuff) wisdom.

Good bye

We could always discuss this, if you are up to it. It would be a delight to read about your interpretation of Kan and Li, as well as where you got the idea that the main body of the teaching is kan and li. Oh, the marvellous discussions we can have. You see, there are no closed doors here unless you create them yourself. But you are right, there are several posters here that could be considered "experts" in their subjects, even though most don't put "enlightened" or "master" in their profile. And yes, so you don't have to say that, I'm a bona fide expert in a field. Cool 😎, isn't it?

And it has been answered. Twice, or is it more?

I considered that @Tombajo could mean modernising the language that surrounds these practices. It is on the difficult side. This is my conclusion: The choice of terms helps your mind to think in images and concepts that aids in breaking up preconcieved notions about reality, and frames new experiences. Modernising this would not be a short cut, in my opinion. Is it the methods in themselves that needs to be modernised? I cannot think of a more stripped-to-the-bones method than what I do. It's still complex, because there are several steps that needs to be done. Maybe the system of Nine Clouds contains aspects that can be modernised? Only his students will know. I know that if I ever start to teach, I will teach it complicated and layered.

Did you also read in "simplify and miss the point" in that sad statement?
