Some believe the world is organized around fundamental principles of law and order. There is a certain consistency about reality which lends itself towards some overriding purpose. Those who feel this way are typically believers in God. On the flip side there is another demographic who believe order and natural principles of reality do not exist. They believe there is no purpose or grand design present in the universe. Only chaos and disorder. Those who feel this way are usually atheist. Where these two trends meet in the middle, would traditionally be described as agnostic.

Fake martial arts is a recent development. Traditional martial artists used to train, spar, compete and fight. Its only recently that they abandoned these practices. The UFC began throwing money at martial artists to compete and that advanced everything to a higher level. But ultimately it became more about who the superior athlete is, more than which art is better. Traditional martial artists were incorporating wrestling and submissions into their game as far back as the 1960s and 1970s. Chuck Norris was training with the Gracie jiu jitsu family back in the 1980s (video is 10 years old, he says he's trained with them for 30 years at that point in time 30 + 10 = 40 years ago):

Commercialization of the arts led to a softer and safer approach. Diminishing the reliability and effectiveness of the arts. There are so many opportunities, time sinks and distractions in the modern world everything has to compete for a small pie slice of time and money people have available. There's so much to see and do. So much information & content available. Its hard to focus and be single minded towards pursuits like martial arts or qigong. It may have been easier in past eras when there were fewer distractions. The arts have adapted and changed to suit our shifting environment. As has qigong, religion and philosophy.

Do we have volcanic issues in our future?
Sanity Check replied to Sanity Check's topic in General Discussion
I'm not certain if governments and nations can exist without the internet. Elections rely on electronic voting and mail in ballots. Facial recognition is built on internet data networking. Countries like sweden have adopted "cashless societies" where a good percentage of finance is conducted through RFID chips implanted in peoples hands. CBDCs (central bank digital currencies) which rely on internet infrastructure are also being deployed. Being someone who normally reads thousands of news stories every year for the past 15+ years. I remember past attempts to target the main DNS servers with DDoS attacks in an attempt to bring the entire internet down. It would be interesting to theorize scenarios capable of ending internet functionality. The more likely scenario could be similar to russia's current trend where they have disconnected their local internet from the rest of the global internet to isolate themselves. -
Do we have volcanic issues in our future?

Sorry I didn't do a good job explaining potential reasons for concern. Magma chambers in yellowstone national park, iwo jima, iceland and mount st helens all appear to be filling with magma at unprecedented rates. All of this is occurring within a timeframe near to simultaneously. Which could imply a significant global trend. -
More than 15 years ago when I was active on livejournal I saw bloggers using the "eye of horus" as an avatar. Something about the geometry of the symbol struck me as containing hidden meanings. Using search engines I was able to find references to "eye of horus" as well as pineal gland and 3rd eye which were enough to satisfy my curiosity. Over the years I have stumbled across random claims made about kings and prophets being obsessed over the pineal gland and 3rd eye. I would like to ask what was all the fuss about? Was this really an important or significant thing? I don't get it.

In the bible, when Moses ascends Mount Sinai to commune with God. The hebrews worship a golden calf. We know hinduism contains crossover with worship of cows and calves. Can the dots be connected in such a way as to deduce the hebrews were influenced by hinduism to some degree?

A cure for herpes would be worth billions of dollars in global healthcare markets. I saw at least one person on the eastern spiritualism side selling COVID-19 repelling magical talismans. On the western witchcraft side I once saw a website selling magic spells guaranteed to shrink the penis of an ex in revenge. It would go some way towards restoring faith in humanity if someone had a cure for herpes lying around. Without having cashed in on the commercial and profiteering side of things. Apparently herpes goes dormant in a way where it can't be targeted by anti virals. That's the obstacle preventing it from being treated.

i've heard testicles atrophy in the last stages of internal alchemy practice. why is that? is that healthy?
Sanity Check replied to Centli's topic in General Discussion
Covid-19 infectees lost senses of smell and taste. If the symptom persists over a span of months, regions of the brain processing smell and taste sensory input can atrophy and die. Through disuse. Athletes who take steroids over the long term can experience testicular shrinkage and long term damage based on similar principles. Testicles produce testosterone. Steroid use negates the need for testicle testosterone production. Which can lead to reduced function over the long term. These general principles coupled together might provide a basic framework for deducing some of the fundamental principles surrounding the topic. -

You can see David Blaine's feet in some of the levitation sequences above. I don't know if its real or not. But it is the closest I've come to believing levitation is real.

I watched some of the videos in this channel as well as the alternate channel Tin Yat Dragon Taoism. They were very interesting. Are there places offering similar content and explanations without having to spend years learning fundamentals? Atm I'm only interested in theory. I know there are health and wellness applications that do work. Many teachings seem questionable which makes me hesitant to practice anything until I have a better idea of what I'm getting into.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4032839/ Some may find this information interesting. It is published on a government .gov website. And so I hope people will refrain from labeling this conspiracy theory content. -
The above describes how Einstein, Newton, Pythagoras and Benjamin Franklin all had ties to the occult.

The existence of different sects of taoism shows even they don't agree with each other about everything. Theory is for those who are interested in the topic. Who don't envision themselves spending 20 years meditating to develop the full real world application.
