  1. Transgender Q&A

Trump Bars Transgender Women From U.S. Prisons for Female Inmates President Trump has ordered federal prisons to house inmates who are transgender women in men’s facilities and halt medical treatments related to gender transition. The move was part of a wide-ranging executive order issued by Mr. Trump on his first day in office meant to limit government recognition of an individual’s gender to their sex at birth. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/01/23/us/trump-transgender-inmates-prison.html ...... Unless there were serious issues with the status quo. Trump should veto this asap.
  2. Paranormal Science

Two men are exploring an old abandoned mine. When their cameras and smartphones glitch & freeze. It just so happens that this old mine has a long history of paranormal activity. Has there ever been an effort from those empowered by internal cultivation practices to study the paranormal? I would expect there to be a long line of people studying exactly this. But there appears to be no one.
  3. Anybody here has a training or workout regimen?

Population of hawaii is around 2 million. How many UFC fighters from hawaii have you seen? Maybe 50+? Where in the world produced that many cage fighters with a population that small? Dagestan with its population of 3 million is the only place that comes close. Heading into the future, dagestan will probably own that stat. But atm I think hawaii still has it.
  4. Anybody here has a training or workout regimen?

Did anyone else try to come up with their own training routine after seeing hong kong kung fu movies from the 1970s / 1980s? Does anyone remember the scene from JCVD's Kickboxer where they tie ropes to his legs to make him do the splits? One of my co workers young cousins and his friends did that & wound up hospitalized. Maybe that's one of the reasons hawaii has more fighters in the UFC per capita than anywhere in the world.
  5. Paranormal Science

If you had a mine that disabled electronic devices, without EMP being necessary. Might it not be useful knowledge in an era of electronic devices? If I were a bigger nerd, I might want to get my hands on it. Before Elon does. lol
  6. Paranormal Science

It is interesting as it would be hard to replicate their experience. They're walking in a mine. One filming with an iphone the other with a high end digital camera. At near to the same time the iphone completely freezes. The other digital cam appears to function normally but later the files that were recorded to could not be located. If these circumstances could be recreated, they would have real world application. Celebrities who do not wish to be filmed in public could carry a device in a backpack which might cause cameras to not be able to film them. Law enforcement and intelligence agencies could use the technology to prevent sensitive areas from being photographed. It has potential to be a legit field of study. Which could turn into a million / billion dollar industry. How you gonna hate on that bruh?
  7. Stranger things

What of beaches in australia? Is this ^ real?

No one said having a phone did any such thing.
  11. In the bible, Moses ascends Mount Sinai for 40 days. Within a span of 40 days the israelites transition from a God fearing society to a cult of cow worshippers. This illustration of society falling apart without the guidance and leadership of a single person highlight the hierarchical arrangement of christianity being sup optimal. In historical terms, when people think of progress or advancement they envision a single individual blazing a trail. They think of a single person revolutionizing science, religion, art or another institution in a way which dramatically changes the way people think about things and how they live their lives. The elites of history are always reading and learning. Working hard to gain knowledge. Moving towards achieving peak productivity. Their potential for growth and advancement are usually maximized. If history is defined by elites maximizing their potential, with the potential of the poor being wholly untapped as a static constant. If the poor someday unlock their potential. If poor israelites of past eras achieved this feat. Would they have been able to resist their transition to cow worship in the 40 days Moses spent on Mt. Sinai? While christians tend to emulate the centralized hierarchy of Moses and prophets of past eras. It might be said there are advantages to many striving towards maximizing their learning potential, rather than a select few. In terms of civilization and society, the greatest progress that could possibly be made would be by the poor maximizing their learning. As that is where the largest potential gains can possibly be made.
  12. Eyes on the Sky

The stars and sky are bright in my area. Might learn a little about astronomy. Although I wish fortune tellers and soothsayers wouldn't over dramaticize the motions of heavenly bodies with their over embellished jibber jabber. It makes the concept of peering through a telescope at stars seem dirty.

Cannot repair swimming pool? Are you sure? From: https://africa-business.com/features/mobile-phones-export-africa.html -Africa's mobile phone market is a $75 billion dollar industry. -Hundreds of millions of africans have access to mobile services If they have these services now imagine what they will have with another 100 years of scientific progress. The real question is whether people will recognize how lucky they are to be beneficiaries of progress. Maybe they'll have an endless supply of innovation & technology. While being able to appreciate none of it.

Would you be offended if 100 years from now. The poor people of that future era own things Elon Musk couldn't dream of having. But perhaps their overall levels of happiness & contentment might be lower. Last I checked a good segment of the african economy is smartphone based. And so even poor africans can own smartphones which the wealthiest person in the world who lived 100 years ago, could not afford.

    Good verses, thanks for that.
  16. The next major advancement in Christianity 2

If more people read the bible. They would be shocked and surprised by what is in it. Greatest plot twists and revelations of all time.
  17. The next major advancement in Christianity 2

Think on Jesus saying the kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed. Early kingdom of heaven is Moses and the old testament. Newer kingdom of heaven is NT. Revelation says there will be a group of 144,000 who will stand anointed. How did they get 144,000? 12 tribes of israel multiplied by 12 Apostles = 144. Then three zeros were tacked onto the end of it somehow. This could define a timeline where in the early days of the kingdom of heaven there were single prophets. Then perhaps over time the number of prophets and leaders multiplies until we reach Revelation where there are 144,000 prophets / saints. There are many different variables and angles to biblical prophecy & I won't pretend to have tried covering them all. Over time we see christianity as a religion shifting and changing. Growing & advancing. And so we might guess if the kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed. The end product won't necessarily bear a strong resemblance to the early sprouting days.
  18. The next major advancement in Christianity 2

Imagine there is a hospital with grid supplied electricity. The power goes out during a storm. Patients on life support are in a bad way. This represents a catastrophic single point of failure. The story of Moses ascending Mt Sinai is the same. Everything falls apart in 40 days in Moses' absence. Single point of failure. If hospitals can be equipped with back up generators to reduce single point of failure. Would christianity and religion naturally adapt to do something similar? Long story short, single point of failure based structures could be defined as sub optimal. Many christians might look at the story of Moses as the de facto standard for the proper hierarchy christians should emulate. But in reality, something better than a single point of failure based leadership structure might eventually come along. And if it did what might that look like? There are many stories of folks like Benjamin Franklin who arrive in america with a handful of cash in their pockets. Who are able to attain feats, respect and wealth through their efforts. In terms of history, these are usually isolated events. A few scattered individuals here and there. But considering how unfulfilled the potential of the poor typically are. The biggest overall gains society can make revolves around them due to having by far the highest growth potential. Well, even the poor of today have big screen TVs. Which the richest person in the world who lived 100 years ago could not afford. The poor of today have material and standard of living based things superior to the wealthy of the past. Which could lead to them being more like a privileged class.
  19. 20 categorical statements from the past

"[Kapodistrias] also introduced the potato into Greece [in 1828] in an attempt to improve people's diet. At first, this met with deep scepticism [sic] among the peasantry, who refused to take up his offer of free distribution of seed potatoes to anyone who would plant them. Trying a new tactic, Kapodistrias had the potatoes piled up on the waterfront at Nafplio and surrounded by armed guards. This convinced local people and visitors from the countryside that these new vegetables were precious objects, and thus worth stealing. Before long, as the guards turned a blind eye, virtually all the potatoes had been taken - and their future in Greece was assured." (p.60)
  20. Lord of the rings, dharma and modernity

Ring of Power goes like this. Isildur Ambition: 5 Greed: 5 Intelligence: 5 Luck: 5 Isildur (with ring of power) Ambition: 5 + 5 Greed 5 + 5 Intelligence: 5 Luck: 5 Bilbo Baggins Ambition: 2 Greed: 2 Intelligence: 7 Luck: 8 Bilbo Baggins (with ring of power) Ambition 2 + 5 Greed 2 + 5 Intelligence: 7 Luck: 8 Ambition and greed are two personality traits most associated with power. In which case the ring of power would offer +5 to those stats. In the case of Isildur 10 out of 10 stats on ambition and greed would result in a significantly unbalanced personality. Bilbo's 6/10 greed and ambition spec would be much more manageable. And it would take time for the change to manifest. Anyone with a good amount of ambition and greed would find themselves overwhelmed by the ring boosting their base stats to unmanageable levels. When they say the ring represents illusion. They could mean a state of illusion or deception would naturally arise by a person trying to validate 10/10 levels of greed and ambition. That level of greed might be unrealistic and illogical that illusion is the only thing that might possibly justify it. Gollum diving into a volcano after the ring could represent 10/10 levels of greed / ambition along with the illusionary expectations that come with that state of existence.
