Indeed, infinite universes within, infinite universes without and all follow Tao.

Cool pic. Took this at my local park:

You have to be careful here as it isn't conciousness that is changing but mind which is why the 'Buddha mind' is said to be no mind. Conciousness is the constant undifferentiated 'causeless cause', 'mind' is the conduit/vehicle and 'the way' is the rhythm/dance. In Buddhism (Tibetan I think) they teach the 'two truths' the first being the unchangeable absolute truth which can be seen as conciousness. The second truth is the ever changing yet relative truth which might be understood as mind being in harmony with the rhythm of the way/Tao (it also could be called the 'shadow dance' but it's not produced by the 'lesser light', of man's desires, but the light of truth as in Plato's Cave). The second truth, is of course prone to confusion, because people like to think they are clever and that they can outwit 'the way' which is a bit like trying to trick god. Each person must find their way and in so doing extract themselves from ego and find the spontaneity of Tao. This is what is meant by finding ones true nature as we are all different yet are joined/connected by the one dance. So eternally the light of truth leads us in the never ending dance of life: L = Love I = In F = Flower E = Eternally

C-O-C-K for everyone would indeed help the world. Lets build an ocean of love and even if some don't understand we can still hold their hand: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Yoda that vid was so funny but so true and I don't even do Kunlun. I have my own practice called Patrick Brown! -
Yoda mentioned this on a different thread but I figure it's very apt as well as very funny: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Now there's a master if I've ever seen one!

Yeah it was all the allegories and stuff that made me want to see it as I'm a strong believer that some writers create a vehicle for there insights. I like the idea that water has some connection with travelling to other universes (no spoilers please). This water theme appears in Dune as well as at the end of the Matrix trilogy. Of course it goes without saying that I love 2001, Blade Runner (tears in rain), THX 1138, AI (water again), Dark City (water yet again!) etc. Seeing I mentioned 'Blade Runner' have you ever noticed that it's also always night in 'Blade Runner' until the very end? Still might get Charlie Jade but just slightly shy at the mo!

Isn't shiva shakti already one? Most of the Hindu gods have a female aspect/counterpart but they are still one. It's like the differentiation of male and female is only apparent yet those that manipulate society like to reinforce this erroneous distinction. It even states in the 'Old Testament' that women should have long hair and men short. I wonder how many people have noticed that all these male gods and Buddha's have long hair? Not really related but just for fun our friend Derren charming the pants of the girls: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I like a nice 'forest glade' myself but I'll have to settle for my back garden today but only if I can get off this couch!

When something outgrows it's usefulness what happens? What use is tree hugging? What use is a coffee table? So we make a bucket from wood so we can chop wood and carry water. If you disagree then give up everything and live in the forest.
-
Or alternatively you could make a nice little coffee table which of course would be much more useful!

Thanks for the feedback although I must say you're slightly put me off now! I figure I'll watch a few youtube clips and think about it a bit more. Hey it's not so much the money it's the time. This looks fun but the run time is pretty short: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dresden-Files-Comp...d=3D83R6J3CYWSS And just for those that enjoyed the X-Files (I'm somewhat impartial) Amazon UK are doing a really good deal at the mo (remember you'll need a region free player): http://www.amazon.co.uk/X-Files-Complete-C...d=3D83R6J3CYWSS

Well this thread seems to have gotten rather heated! All I can say is that any system that is not disposable will probably end up doing more harm than good. Imagine all your knowledge and wisdom was made of ice and the sun came out, wouldn't all those ideas simply return to their true nature? Hey lets all just flow.

Tantric Kundalini: heart-ache and Psychosis?
Patrick Brown replied to findley's topic in General Discussion
One aspect of any system to 'get straight' is burning off bad karma whether the individual sees this karma as purely psychological or something more subtle is not important. Chipping away (!) is always better than an obsessive fervour. Picking out the bad-seeds / erroneous-thinking is a process that takes time unfortunately some people just can't wait. The term 'straightening by fire' is often used for systems which speed up the process of enlightenment. Occasional someone will inadvertently start this process, of 'straightening by fire', which is basically the same as psychosis. Many spiritual teachings equip the individual with the armour to survive such an event but without right understanding and the proper armour chaos death and destruction are highly likely. Of course the armour I talk about is universal love, wisdom and compassion. Therefore my advice is to relax and let the pain of loss, relating to your ex, come out. Letting go and non-attachment are key elements within Taoist teaching. Strive to understand what has caused your pain and you will eventually realise that it was you and only ever you. As for the masturbation linked to energy cultivation you should make sure you really know what you're doing and this doesn't mean read a few books. There are many masters (laughs) who don't know what they're doing and therefore they only exist to muddy the water. Whatever you decide make sure you flow as stagnant pools are the home of disease death and madness. If none of the above resonates with you then I would simply recommend a period of time spent cross-dressing! -
Thanks for the clarity Lama Tantrapa I can see where you're coming from now I therefore apologise for my past negativity. As for drugs and short cuts I certainly don't recommend them. Best of luck with the book and I hope to hear more from you on these forums.

So is this thread a car crash of events or a flow? There's the question.
