  1. DDJ Chapter 48

You overlooked the pivotal word, “like”. You too have such people.
  2. DDJ Chapter 48

What about the children of people like Fred and Rose West? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_West
  3. DDJ Chapter 48

Righto, thanks for your answer. But where does this leave people with abusive parents?
  4. DDJ Chapter 48

I thought Confucians do rituals/offerings to 怩? And if so: Can an ‘impersonal source’ be aware of what you do? What is your motivation for doing rituals/offerings?

  6. How long does a Tao bum sleep?

“How long does a Tao bum sleep?” I sleep about 5 to 6 hours.
  7. ï»żI don’t do Facebook and the PDF doesn’t show here online. I had a quick look at your old posts to see if there were chapters there; didn’t see any. Could you please post just one chapter here as a post, to give me an impression?
  8. DDJ Chapter 48

I have reported this: This issue was discussed before: Previous admods team decision: Mercury use is based in misunderstanding:

  10. Faith. That would depend on the quality of your “family, friends”. In some cases it is precisely these “family, friends” that are causing the problem(s). Then it’s necessary to remove yourself from them; and very rapid healing will occur once all contact has been stopped.
  11. The Good in Men

Fair enough, I agree it doesn’t.
  12. DDJ Chapter 48

Actually that’s weird. I thought you were a Confucian. Doesn’t Confucianism believe in a God called 怩 ?
  13. @ChiDragon (you will not like this ) this is the real meaning of 無ç‚ș ! 無ç‚ș wu2 wei2 - not behaving as a ‘civil servant’, but being your natural self.
  14. What? It’s not in a ‘GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY’. (cry emoji) ok then.
  15. The Good in Men

I thought you were a Taoist?

The Christian mandorla stands for the ichtheys. For me, it represents similar ideas as the above Bön circle. (mandorla, as e.g. in https://www.alamy.com/the-end-of-the-world-and-the-last-judgement-the-disciples-preached-among-the-people-as-jesus-had-said-illuminated-pages-of-the-codex-of-predis-1476-royal-library-turin-italy-image209613395.html )

As you are an atheist, that’s like crossing your fingers behind your back.

Thank you, I find all this very interesting. And that reads to me as a useful practice, also for people like me from another tradition. For me the ‘soul retrieval’ part links nicely with the last Wuxing picture above. And the single sphere reminds me of Wuji. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wuji_(philosophy). So far so good, but then
 it gets very ‘other tradition’
I did try, when first joining this forum, to read posts about ‘no-self’ and ‘non-duality’. I finally gave up on trying to understand it. For me there’s also got to be taiji https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiji_(philosophy)
  20. DDJ Chapter 48

Do you see it now? Oh yes, I do see it now! Thank you so much for explaining that. That proofs it! Definitely. If someone can draw a picture of it, then it has been proven to exist. Of course, why did I not see that before.

@steve Is it relevant that it’s a circle? And if so, what is the meaning?
  23. DDJ Chapter 48

Funny how a ‘serious’ thread can be started from something posted JFF (just for fun). My post quoted in the OP, was making fun of the preceding post’s use of the word ‘learn’.
  24. DDJ Chapter 48

I noticed it with admiration. Imo which characters are the right ones to use, depends on one’s chosen path. True , native speaker trumps.
