Hi docgalen, nice to meet you too; welcome to the forum.

No. You already stopped talking to her, well done; that’s enough. As long as you completely ignore her, she will lose interest in you and move on. Nothing to worry about.

Hi Han Shan. Welcome to the forum. I’m Dutch too.

Thank you for your feedback. Please note your logic is faulty: -> Yae … <- ad hominem directed at Yae (in the discussion) -> I … <- my personal opinion (in my own thread)

“That's gaslighting nonsense …” https://www.thedaobums.com/topic/55713-full-description-of-methods-for-the-4-stages-of-internal-alchemy-in-book-internal-alchemy-for-everyone/?do=findComment&comment=1029317 Yes, “Yae can't digest this fact” is just an ad hominem; it’s what some people use when they have no arguments left.

“It's hard for me to take sound advice too sometimes.” https://www.thedaobums.com/topic/55713-full-description-of-methods-for-the-4-stages-of-internal-alchemy-in-book-internal-alchemy-for-everyone/?do=findComment&comment=1029208 I find that remark so condescending.

@liminal_luke Making a pecking order amongst equals, I consider it bullying; so I applaud you for letting go of status based inequalities.

Exactly. Enough said.

Could you please tell a bit more about the remedies that were used?
-
I do think it also applies to modern 'western'. Could you please elaborate a bit on the Dutch situation: What causes it there? What are the remedies there?

Yes it’s awful, in the Netherlands suicide is the leading cause of death for people under 30 . “ Suicide rates in youths have nearly tripled between the 1960s and 1980s.” “Religion lost its influence on Dutch politics between the 1960s and 1980s.” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youth_suicide) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_the_Netherlands#:~:text=Secularization%20in%20the%20Netherlands%20started,resulting%20in%20liberal%20Dutch%20policy)

Is enlightenment possible without the transmission from a lineage?

Yes exactly. “Problems come from putting on the outside what’s actually on the inside.” https://www.thedaobums.com/topic/55700-have-you-ever-been-blessed-by-someone/?do=findComment&comment=1028154

… 15. The common people see things clearly; 16. I alone am in the dark. 17. The common people discriminate and make fine distinctions; 18. I alone am muddled and confused. … 21. The masses all have their reasons [for acting]; 22. I alone am stupid and obstinate like a rustic. 23. But my desires alone differ from those of others— 24. For I value drawing sustenance from the Mother. DDJ Ch. 20 (Henricks, MWD)

Not at all; it is considered disrespectful to waste or throw away prasad.

(Google) Zhurong (祝融 zhùróng), is also the name of the Chinese rover on Mars.

Wow, very nice indeed to see e.g. the fruits, pineapple and lily flowers. If I may make one suggestion, make sure to keep the focus on your Guan Yin statue. E.g. keep more space open around her. What’s the little bowl in front of her, is it for water? If so, I’d choose a smaller bowl and put it aside of her on her right side (not in front where it obscures the view of her). And I would stand her on a flat surface, not a plate (that’s for placing offerings). But you create it your way, and it’s great as it is.

This is indeed a most ingenious way to read Ch 38.

Interesting. Could you please elucidate how you came to this translation?

How did you know?

Yippee. Me too!

“Have you ever been blessed by someone?” (thread title). I received the blessing of the Dalai Lama in 1994.
