  1. Cook Ding in real life ;-)

I enjoyed watching the video. I found it relaxing to watch, him being ‘in the flow’ (with Tao).
  2. Cook Ding in real life ;-)

Great video. Not an ox (jackfruit) but the same skill. Feeling his way, following the natural hollows in the structure of the fruit. Sense of satisfaction in job well done.

@Taoist Texts what does it mean “The goal of alchemy is to shed all Yin”?
  4. deleted

    @Taoist Texts is this true?
  5. Reflecting on TDB

(my highlight) That’s how mendicant monks make a living. Of course you can.
  6. I do not need the whole truth to live, only my own experience.
  7. Reflecting on TDB

Why think you need a recepy? Why let someone tell you you are ‘ignorant’?
  8. Reflecting on TDB

yeah, you can wait till the cows come home.
  9. Reflecting on TDB

Exactly. It can only be found inside oneself.
  10. Reflecting on TDB

Exactly. Those Westerners who regurgitate what the Buddha said, just swapped one belief system for another. That will not get you anywhere.

    Hi. Welcome to the forum.
  13. Reflecting on TDB

Yay, we agree! That’s exactly it!
  14. Siddhi - The mundane is the same as the mystical

Same here, and that’s ‘enlightenment’ imo.
  15. Reflecting on TDB

@Maddie I draw the line here. You are on my ignore list. I will never respond to any of your posts again.
  16. Compendium - Illuminated Initiate

No, he is ok, he is open to conversation.
  17. Compendium - Illuminated Initiate

@Nungali sorry if my post above was confusing. I thought the OP would benefit more from interaction with you (rather than helpfuldemon).
  18. Reflecting on TDB

I still think (hope) this is not actually a Buddhist thing, but a thing some people do in any philosophy/religion. It’s called ‘deflection’ (in psychology). Methods intended for introspection, being abused to discredit others.
  19. Could anyone introduce me to the basics of daoism?

The DDJ is rooted in the yinyang concept, so dual. It prioritises yin, not yang (Ch 28: know the male, stick to the female).
