In the lyrics: âI gave her my heart but she wanted my soulâ What does that mean?

@ChiDragon

Thanks, you know a lot more about it than I do.

Bias in the question. You would need to balance that out with asking chatgdp for some of the reasons it might not be real. Do you have a brain? The points 1. to 5. are all ridiculous. #1 we modern Dutch people can fantasise very well, thank you! #2 it was never intended as a âforgeryâ, it was a practical joke. #3 it was written in a made up language. #4 and #5 lol, now something is true because some people believe it? Indeed it was very easy - read my above post, first 2 quotes. ~~~ But then there never is any convincing of âtrue believersâ with facts. This was my last ever reply to you. Firstly, you seem to be unable to think, see above 1. to 5. Secondly, more importantly, the stuff in the OLB is extremely racist and ultra right wing. Seems to me you like that stuff, so I say to you âbye byeâ.

@Nungali pls read a thread to get the context. If you follow the quotes back, itâs clear my question was only referring to the big 3 Chinese religions.

The Oera Linda book is considered to have been written as a practical joke. - The language is not actually Old Frisian. It also contains Dutch, German, French, English, âModern Frisianâ and âTown Frisianâ words and the syntax is that of modern Dutch and German. - A translation key was added to enable reading the so-called ârunic scriptâ. - The suspected authors are three Dutch people: Over de Linden, who published it; Eelco Verwijs, a linguist specialised in Dutch language; and François HaverSchmidt, aka Piet Paaltjens, a minister and very famous writer. https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oera_Linda The Oera Linda Book is 19th century literature. https://www.academia.edu/619669/Het_Oera_Linda_boek_facsimile_transcriptie_vertaling_Goffe_Jensma_editor_Hilversum_Verloren_2006_ OLB was a practical joke https://www.dbnl.org/tekst/_gid001187801_01/_gid001187801_01_0001.php OLB was written in a made up language https://www.friesmuseum.nl/collectie/objecten-verhalen/oera-linda-boek

Any info?

Neither have I.

Then why become one with Tao?

Difficult to know but still, imo, any system needs to set limits. This forum bumped into the limits to âfreedomâ, see The evacuees started OD, which imo * ran into the same problem and closed down. (* just my opinion, other OD forum members thought that was not the reason for the closure). Some OD refugees started a new thing, forgot the name now; no idea if itâs still going. @wandelaar is it still going?

Exactly, the big 3 religions over time have greatly influenced each other.

There are many different ways. Even here in this thread, Chidragon, Wandelaar and I, all do totally different things. Always happy to help. Seriously, Iâd say donât worry about it. To âdrift towardsâ sounds to me like you already did practice Daoism. The Way of the water (no pun intended) just going with the natural flow. At this moment in time you do Buddhism. Follow your nose.

âbangsâ?? Google: bang noun plural noun: bangs 1. ⊠2. NORTH AMERICAN a fringe of hair cut straight across the forehead. Righto, then yes, bangs.
-
You have really kind eyes. And enviable skin. I think a fringe would look nice on you. Have you ever tried that?
-
One Russian, one Dutch, one Mexican and one American, should be interesting.
-
I agree!

Look at that face, definitely a grumpy old man.

then heâs dead.

Chinese Buddhism and Taoism have influenced each other a lot, so your knowledge of Buddhism might also be useful for Taoism.
