@Daniel re. nothingness âWhen chapter 5 compares Dao to the bellows at work, it is clearly suggesting that as a productive emptiness, the Nothingness of Dao is the emptiness of the female womb. ⊠from nothing all beings come. Ellen M. Chen (page 93 In Praise of Nothing)

Wondering about this too, âbrainwashingâ. It can be difficult to understand each other when coming from different traditions, hard to connect with the terminology. I all of a sudden think I might know what âbrainwashingâ is after all. I now think it might be what I call âFree Flowâ. Thatâs when itâs like my head is a space through which a river of energy flows from one side to the other, filling the whole space. Feeling like the energy comes flowing in from the outside, flows through my brain, and flows outside again on the other side. Does that to you in any way sound like âbrainwashingâ in your tradition?

This I know to be true for me. Well, you completely lost me there (scratching my head). True ime. The power of being nothing special. -
Sounds familiar, mine at times quite not-mild. Looking forward to an answer.

Agreed. Exactly, itâs totally unsubstantiated. I totally agree. We need all of our emotions; itâs about using them in a constructive way. Exactly, thatâs what baffled me, he left out the âIFâ. Without the âIFâ he imo crosses over into âfeel good chatâ/religion/counselling/whatever you call it but itâs not science. Thanks for your reply. Best of luck to your dad.

Imo he is a cruel bastard, as he uses info gathered by abusing animals. â⊠little has been known about what happens in the brain immediately after the heart stops beating. Why study martial arts if you'd never fight back?
Cobie replied to Franky's topic in General Discussion
The âBoxer Rebellionâ used martial arts, they believed they were immortal. From the sorry ending, the Chinese people realised the âmagicâ was just vaudeville. (according to my Chinese teacher)- 66 replies

The OP makes no sense to me. Is it supposed to be a joke? The rule is imo fine as it is. -

Itâs good to laugh. Martial arts has roots in on stage acting, similar to what we would call vaudeville. (according to my Chinese teacher)- 66 replies
