Lovemaking & Spirituality (Hinduism, Qigong, Daoism, Soul)
Nuralshamal posted a topic in Daoist Discussion
Dear friends, I've been making new and interesting discoveries regarding sexual qigong and daoist lovemaking. I've tried accessing sensuality and sexuality from different perspectives. Hindu Sri Vidya Experiment First off, I did a purascharan of Bala Tripura Sundari Mantra (Goddess of the Vital Force/Life Force as well as the Swadisthana/Genital Chakra). That means 600.000 mantras chanted using a mala (prayer beads), 100 days of daily puja (prayer ritual), 60.000 mantras offered into the fire (fire ritual or homa), 6000 mantras offer with water (tarpana), 600 mantras offered with clarified butter mixed with water and spices (marjanam) and 60 people served warm food (bhojana). It was about 2-3 hours per day for 100 days straight. It was tough!! I had a dream upon completing this purascharana (actually it came about 7 days earlier, which suprised me), which is supposedly a sign that my worship has been accepted. I now feel the energy activate much quicker and more powerfully when I chant the mantra now. Further, it has brought out a new level of pleasure in life in general. When having food, when walking in the woods, when meditating, when chanting mantras, in lively conversation and of course also when making love. It has really improved the sensuality and pleasure of lovemaking in a deeper way. Diamond Logos / Diamond Approach Inquiry Further I've spent more time with Faisal Muqaddam (1 session every 6 weeks, and a 3 day long retreat more recenly), as well as with Hameed Ali (AH Almaas) with a monthly retreat of 2 days, 1 monthly one-on-one session and 1 weekly practice. This has been for about 1 year now. I've reconnected with many different lost aspects of my soul, blasted through so many ego defenses and layers of deadening. It has really been incredible. Especially gaining access to the Stupa vehicle, the Chandelier Vehicle, the Point of Light as well as the Pearl. I feel like I don't fall into ego as much as before, but live much more of my life as my Soul, as pure presence differentiating into the needed quality from moment to moment. It's tough.. But it's worth it! Western Sex Training Further, I've stumbled across a new sex book. It's legit! The marketing is insanely hyped and sensational, but the tips and tricks really work https://euacademy.systeme.io/howtolastaslongasyouwant I've been using some of the scenarios and techniques from the book... It made a huge difference! Sexual Qigong & Daoist Lovemaking I've realized that you can actually make your penis bigger over time with genital weight lifting. I've been doing it on/off for about 8 years now. Last week I measured and had gained 3cm in length (a bit more than 1 inch) and 1cm in girth (a bit less than half an inch). But my friends.... Be carefull! When you get to a certain size, it's detrimental. It becomes more than most girls can comfortably take. I started genital weight lifting and sexual qigong to improve my sex life, but now I have to spend much more time on foreplay to get them ready, and I have to hold back much more during the session so it's doesn't hurt them. So think twice before increasing size! Conclusion I just wanted to share some of my experiences with you guys All the best! God bless you- 3 replies

Dear friends, In other threads I've already shared many of my personal experiences (I'll link these below). What I'm looking for now is to exchange experiences, information, teachers, herbs, mantras, mudras, methods etc. in this area. I would really love to hear your stories, your experiences, about your teachers and their methods. It's quite a controversial topic, but it's also quite an interesting topic Here are the links to my former threads: In this thread I've shared many of my personal experiences with this somewhat controversial topic: I've shared a bit more personal experiences in the second post here:- 81 replies

Dear friends, It's been some time since our healthy debate here on sexual qigong and lovemaking I've been making new and interesting discoveries since last time. First off, I finally got my girlfriend started on the most basic level of sexual qigong for women. I am blown away! Just some small 5-10 minute exercises done a couple of times per week is enough to skyrocket your sexual health, pleasure and happiness to completely new levels! Further, I've stumbled across a new sex book. It's legit! My experience with genital weight lifting, sexual qigong, daoist lovemaking and meditation
Nuralshamal posted a topic in Welcome
Dear Dao Bums, This is the post I always searched for. A no-nonsense, no bullshit, personal experience and description of sexual qigong and daoist lovemaking. For over 7 years I've been meditating daily. For over 5 years, I've been involved in learning, reading, studying and practicing genital weight lifting, sexual qigong and daoist lovemaking. I'll keep this concise and precise, 4 headers: genital weight lifting, sexual qigong, daoist lovemaking, chinese medicine. 1) Genital Weight Lifting Lifting and swinging weights tied around both scrotum and penis is the primary exercise. Tying a weight just under the head of the penis and swinging it is the second exercise. These two types of swinging, combined with breathing and genital muscle contraction, will enlarge your testicles and penis. You must be VERY careful, and only do this under the supervision of an authorized and trained teacher. If done incorrectly, you'll damage your most prized organs. Even when done correctly, you WILL have slightly longer testicles than before. This can be annoying. So think about it, before you start. Now I'll shortly list my experiences: The positives: The primary swinging exercise, with the weight tied around both testicles and penis, will increase qi and blood circulation. Due to the cloth tied around your organs, the blood you pump into them via muscle contractions will stay there during the exercise. Over time, this will increase the number of capillaries (blood vessels) as well as the size of your blood vessels. This increases qi and blood circulation, as well as enlarging your testicles and penis over time. When your testicles become bigger and stronger, you get MUCH more sexual energy. When your penis increases in size (this takes time), you'll get more confidence. For me personally, the penis swinging exercise was incredible. After just two sessions, I started noticing results. It also enlarges your penis head. Longer, fuller and stronger erections. You can last longer. The negatives: If you do any of these exercises from books or videos, or from a withholding teacher, you can greatly damage yourself. In the typical chinese style of teaching, you'll get only very little theoretical information. You'll be shown what to do, and then only after lenghty testing, observation and consideration, will the teacher give you the small theoretical and practical tricks, which will greatly increase the efficiency of the exercise. You'll get longer, hanging testicles. This can be annoying both cosmetically and functionally (i.e. they hang lower in your pants and are more exposed). The "load" experienced by your sexual organs taxes your system. If you don't have proper recovery and life style, herbs etc, this can drain you energetically. This is in contrast to most kinds of qigong, and more similar to normal bodybuilding/fitness training. Normal qigong increases your energy. Bodybuilding/fitness and genital weight lifting taxes your system and drains you. HOWEVER, with proper recovery you grow stronger after the recovery phase. So, be very mindful of this aspect. Normal qigong will help you recover faster, if you practice while sick, weak or drained. Doing an iron man while you're sick, will tax your system, and make you even weaker and potentially more sick. Genital weight lifting is the same: never practice when sick, or if otherwise weakened or drained. It will drain you further. 2) Sexual Qigong If a man and a woman both practice qigong and meditation, as well as have a healthy lifestyle, they can be of great assistance to each other. Through retaining semen, the man will build his energy stronger and more harmonious with each sex session. For the woman, the more orgasms she has, the more balanced and harmonious she will be. 3) Daoist lovemaking Sexual Qigong and Daoist lovemaking go hand in hand. Sexual qigong is more concerned with building, circulating and harmonizing the qi. Daoist lovemaking is more focused on making the sex act as pleasureable and satisfying as possible. Hence, it is more of an art form. The most important point is foreplay. Through kissing, licking, hugging, touching, biting and gazing, the man starts with the woman's face, arms, back, legs and feet. After only certain signs of arousal are observed (reddening of the neck, her body becomes warm, nippels harden, her breathing changes and the vagina is BOTH warm and moist), the foreplay will go to the breasts, and lastly the vagina. The sex act itself employs many different positions and techniques, as well as a lot of talking to stimulate the woman psychologically and emotionally. The second most important point (other than foreplay) is the afterplay. After the sex act is finished, the man should hold, hug, caress and sweet talk the woman and consolidate what they achieved during the lovemaking. Usually the man is more focused on the sex act, whereas the woman truly enjoys both the foreplay and afterplay equally as the sex. The sex is physical, the foreplay and afterplay is emotional. Ejaculation is very healthy and important for the man's health, and extremely arousing for the woman. However, it should be regulated according to his health, age, cultivation and lovemaking frequency. 4) Chinese medicine Each of us have a certain bodily and energetic configuration. When we're healthy, still, some of our organs, meridians or jing/qi/shen will be a little weak or imbalanced. This is something we're born with. Some people will naturally have a weakness in the heart, kidneys etc. It's very, very important to know one's weaknesses in Chinese Medicine when undertaking genital weight lifting. This is so you can supplement your training with herbs. The testicles (as well as the brain and bone marrow) is connected to the Kidneys in Chinese Medicine. So, when you're swinging weights, you're taxing your whole Kidney system. With proper recovery, this will make your whole Kidney system stronger. HOWEVER! If you're a person whose natural weakness is Kidneys, you're in for a world of trouble if you don't supplement Genital Weight Lifting with herbs. This was the case for me personally. I was told that Genital Weight Lifting is the strongest qigong in the world, and everyone will benefit from it and become a superhuman. When I was gradually weakened by it, and asked my teacher for guidance, he couldn't understand it. He told me to practice more and harder, but the more I practiced, the weaker I got. When I finally quit genital weight lifting, after having been severely weakened, it took me 2 years of herbs and a new style of qigong to recover. When I asked my new qigong teacher about how everyone had seemed to become superhuman from the training, but that it completely killed me, he wasn't flabbergasted at all. He simply said "different people need different things". After having finally recovered, I restarted the genital weight lifting 6 months ago. Firstly the penis swing (which was always my personal favorite), and just under a month ago, I added the normal swing (both scrotum and penis). With all of my prior experience, new qigong training and knowledge, as well as herbs, I can now appreciate the sexual function boost this style of training gives. It CAN really help you with health, energy and your sex life, but you need to be very mindful of balancing with herbs, life style, recovery and normal qigong. This is how it works according to qigong theory and chinese medicine: Your physical body is considered the jing layer of your existence. The brain, bone marrow, kidneys and testicles are especially related to your jing. Through increasing your testicle size and strength, you'll strengthen your Kidney system and thereby the foundation for your physical strength and health. Your energetic body has your qi. Just like a teenage boy can grow like crazy in height and increase his muscle mass very quickly due to the power of hormones, similarly, by training your testicles and increasing your hormones, you'll increase your qi levels immensely. By strengthening the Kidney system, you also strengthen your brain. When your physical body is strong, your qi is powerful and your physical brain is healthy, it will be easier for you to meditate better, and work with your shen or spirit. Conclusion: these were the most important points of my experience, as well as what I wish I had known when undertaking genital weight lifting 5 years ago. If I had known then, what I know now, I could have avoided getting too long testicles (by being more conservative with the weight lifted), I could have avoided a 2 year weakness period (by supplementing with the correct herbs as well as more normal qigong and less swinging). This would have helped avoid unecessesary suffering, and instead increased my health, happiness and cultivation further. Therefore I decided to write this post: in order to help others avoid unecesseary suffering, and in order to benefit as many as possible by giving realistic and practical advice about the pros and cons of genital weight lifting. Be blessed!- 22 replies

@EFreethought The shaykh I learnt this from gave his ijazaat (permission/blessing/protection) to anyone, no matter gender, race or religion. Even over the internet. So yes, you can do it

Thanks for your positive feedback! Yes, it's true, most people can't believe it. I too never believed in spirits and black magic, I thought it was just a stupid superstition. But then it happened to me! Yes, it's Qur'an chapter 20 (Surah Ta-ha) verse 68-69. You recite it 100 times at night before sleep, then blow 3x on the person affected by black magic. Then you make du'a to Allah for protection and removing the black magic. You do it for 21 nights in a row. This was extremely powerful for me and my wife and gave us a solid break of about 6 months with zero issues, like I described in my big post above.

Animal sacrific and other rituals of antiquity

@Nungali Thanks for your message, I definitively feel a desire to dialogue from you now I can also feel the "substance" behind your words and explanations, I can feel you're drawing on a mix of both study and experience (field work and of course life experiences). I enjoy this, as I feel it to substantiate what you say to a very large degree. I am on the one hand somewhat surprised at how scientific your mindset is, thinking that we're on a qigong forum, but on the other hand I also really value that as a trait. I agree that people investigating the ancients and their accomplishments, and at the slightest doubt about something always jump to the conclusion "aliens did it!" is indeed a thing something I find hysterical, and of course also can't take seriously. I was looking up the stone masonry of Macchu Picchu online, and there are indeed scientists and builders marveling at it, yet they also offer what I deem to be credible explanations (which don't include aliens ). It's clear that you personally are at peace with the scientific explanations you've found for the accomplisments of the ancients, so of course you don't feel a strong urge of curiousity about exploring other possible explanations. This is quite understable, seeing that it's been a life long interest and pursuit of yours, so you've already turned most stones (pun intended). I personally feel my own "belief" to be true, as it tallies with my own life experience (what I told about evolving from 0 to 100, different levels of culture, global consciousness average etc). Of course you have only this small explanation about this evolutionary paradigm that I gave above, so you judge it based on how that small snippet tallies with your own life experience. Clearly you don't feel the explanatory power it has to be equal to or as strong as your current paradigm, and therefore no desire to explore it further. This is also quite understandable. I would still urge you to check out the Nazca lines as it's quite fascinating. The only thing I am still curious about is this final question: 1) What are the most mysterious or unexplainable things/facts/observations you've ever had in your life in your domain of anthropology? -
Animal sacrific and other rituals of antiquity

@Nungali Hey Nungali, thanks for your interesting comments. It's clear that you have more academic background in this field, and therefore argue in a more precise way as to the use of terms and their meaning, than I do as a layman in this area (e.g. offering vs sacrifice, this is pretty much synonomous for a layman, whereas there's clearly a difference in academia - for a layman, both mean that you put something physical for a higher power, whereas for you there's a difference in some underlying anthropological understanding of the MEANING behind the action, whereas for a layman describing it, it's the exact same action in both cases). I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and comments backed by your research, albeit I feel you to be a bit too easily jumping over many of my arguments. I understand that this is due to you already having studied this subject and are therefore informed by your research and knowledge of current scientific consensus. I don't feel much dialogue or two-way communication from you, nor really an interest in an actual exchange. I feel more you are simply sputtering out the info in your brain from your studies, reproducing what you have taken in with a complete faith that this is the ultimate truth. Please correct me if I'm wrong, this is just my gut feeling. I feel you're zooming in on certain details and commenting on them individually (more analytical), instead of commenting on the overall message (syncretic or holistic view). Just as an example: with circumcision and masturbation, there's no comment on hygiene, protection against STD's, utility of circumcision in hot and humid climates, you zoom in on just lotions. That's just one single point. The message is that there was a logical reasoning for circumcision, this I don't feel you to be tackling or commenting on. In general your message seems overall more focused on simply being contrarian in general than interested in a dialogue or an exchange. This could again be wrong, as it's just a feeling, so please just let me know what your true intention was (by this point I've already said the word "dialogue" a thousand times, so I hope you can see that's what I'm inviting to start ) If you're interested in an actual exchange, I would actually really enjoy getting your perspectives on a few things. I really like and enjoy exchanges, because I like to learn. You have clearly researched a lot in this area, so I can benefit a lot from your knowledge if you're interested. The first thing I would like your take on is these pyramid structures. More particularly Macchu Picchu in Peru. What I've heard is that this construction is unique, because there's no mortar between stones. They're cut so perfectly that they just fit together. This is considered unique, and very smart, because it allows the stones micro-movement during earthquakes without cracks, actually making it more stable than buildings with mortar. No modern society on planet Earth, even today, build without mortar (to my knowledge). Still to this day, even with laser precision equipment and cutting, we can't replicate the precision of the Macchu Picchu stone masons. What would your opinion be as to how they could do this back then? Something we can't even do with all of our advanced technology today. Further, the materials used for Macchu Picchu consists of tree, stone, rocks etc (different materials) that were all sourced on different sides of the mountains (e.g. some from the jungles, some from the low-lands etc etc, just far-away-places), and yet they were all transported to the top of the mountain to the site of Macchu Picchu. I've been told that even today with modern technology, this would be very difficult (if not impossible). What's your take on how they got these materials up there? So 2 questions about Macchu Picchu: 1) How could they cut with better precision than we do today? 2) How did they get big, heavy and diverse materials from different places up a mountain, which we struggle to do even today? The reason for this question is: 1) I am curious about this in general, and looking for an explanation myself, 2) You've clearly employed the "simplest explanation is the most likely" for the other pyramid structures, so I'm interested to see where you will go with this one Of course, my own perspective is related to what I wrote above, namely that there have been cultures on higher levels than our current culture, ergo they could do things we can't due to using, among other things, spiritual technology. Lastly, I would like your explanation for the Nazcar lines as well also in Peru. -
According to Master Zhongxian Wu, the goal is "tien ren he yi" (man becomes one with the universe). So it's similar to yoga, also meaning "union" or "being in harmony with". Similarly, in sufism , it's termed "fana fi Allah" or dissolving into God. I'm tempted to say in Christianity the true goal is imitation of Christ, who proclaimed "I and the Father are one". God, the Father, the Universe, the ALL, it's the same, one living being, just called different names. This experiential state of Oneness with everything and everyone, accompanied by a life lived in accord with this inner feeling through being in harmony with everything and everyone (yourself, partner, family, extended family, community, country, planet, universe is a step by step approach to achieving this). I would say this is the universal goal of all spiritual traditions.

Animal sacrific and other rituals of antiquity
Nuralshamal replied to Maddie's topic in General Discussion
Intro to universal trends on planet Earth There is no doubt that ancient peoples, cultures and religions are much more connected than usually thought. This was a big shock to me when I first noticed, but you're right. How can all people of all times have been doing the same thing? Even when they're on different continents, and supposedly had no or only little contact with each other? Some examples of universal trends E.g. fire sacrifice all over the Planet. Cain killed Abel, after they performed a fire sacrifice. Even the Qur'an has fire sacrifice in it, when it talks about the old prophets. It's a huge part of Hinduism (homa, havan, yagna). Even the more meditation oriented Tibetan Buddhism also performs pujas and homas (fire sacrifices). How did ancient caveman worship? Also through the fire, dancing and storytelling etc. So all cultures and all religions since the discovery of fire has had fire sacrifices. There are pyramids in Meso- and northern South America. There are pyramids in Mali (West Africa), as well as of course Egypt. There are also pyramids in Iran (ziggurats), as well as pyramid-like temple structures in both India and China. How could all people of old, pretty much within the same latitudes around the equator, get the idea to build this similar strucuture? Furthermore, these pyramid-like structures are all aligned with the universe. Some are set up to mark winter and summer solstice, as well as spring and autumn equinox. Some are aligned with the Orion star constellation. Some with the star Sirius. Some with the Big Dipper. Why did all these ancient peoples built pyramids aligned astronomically with the universe? Proposed explanation for universal trends According to the danish painting prophet Martinus, Almighty God has 5 impulses of guidance over the Earth: 1) Nature religion (living in harmony with nature and the seasons, everything is spirit, sacrifices) 90.000 years ago 2) Ancient and inhumane religions (an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, systematized vengeance, kill unbelievers to get to heaven) 3) Humane religions (forgiveness and compassion) 4) Naturalistic Science (believe nothing, test and verify yourself through direct perception with the 5 senses) 5) Spiritual Science (intelligence and compassion together, karma, reincarnation, divine plan, all of mankind is one family). These different impulses of guidance has suited people of a different evolutionary stature. 0 is an animal, 100 is a true human being. 0-20 is best guided by nature religions, 20-40 is best guided by inhumane warrior religions, 40-60 is best guided by humane religions, 60-80 is best guided by either being a humane materialist, or an intellectual religious, 80-100 is best guided by spiritual science. Let's estimate that the average evolutionary step for planet Earth today is 50. There are still some very primitive people at 5-25 somewhere on the planet, however, we also have highly advanced people at 70-99 incarnated and walking around. So, even though the average of planet Earth is generally always increasing (slowly but surely), there have been glimpses where specific ancient cultures as an average have reached higher levels than the current planetary average. In short, some ancient cultures in smaller locations could have broken through and reached a cultural average of 60, 70, 80 or even 90 for short periods of time. The planterary average was still lower than today's 50, however, localized cultures could have been momentarily higher. That means that even today, we can still sometimes learn a lot from ancient cultures (in case they are indeed examples of a culture on a higher evolutionary average than the one we are currently part of). The hindus group the universe into tamas, rajas and sattva. Things that hurt yourself or others are tamas in nature (0-40 on the above scale). Things that are mixed good and bad are rajas in nature (40-60 on the above scale). Things that benefit yourself and others are sattva (60-100 on the above scale). Animal and human sacrifice is simply a tamasic take on religion. Going into holy war is rajas. Being at peace with everything and everyone is sattva. The shastras (scriptures) prescribe mantras, rituals, meditations and ways of life for both tamasic, rajasic and satvic peoples. You want to acquire a magical power? You can do it in a fast and furious manner with a tamasic ritual. You can do it with a little more effort with a rajasic ritual. You can do it with a lot of effort with a satvic ritual. In general things of tamasic and rajasic nature are faster working in the material world, yet come at a greater karmic cost, whereas satvic methods take longer yet are pure in process and result. Just like plundering or stealing: it's much faster and easier to take the things of weaker people, than building, acquiring and cultivating these things for yourself. E.g. go do a well planned buglary a couple of times per year, and you're econimacally set for the year. Compare that to many years spent studying to get an education, then working many hours per week, giving half to taxes etc. One is fast and easy, yet comes with a karmic cost as it goes against universal values. One is slow and hard, yet there's no karmic cost as it is in accord with universal values. Specific explanations for each question There is a lot of energy generated by animal and human sacrifice. This attracts tamasic spirits. They can do a lot with that energy. As it is tamasic, what they do will be in an evil way, yet it can give quick results (healing, money, fame, magical powers etc). Baptism is symbolic of inner and outer purity, emphasises hygiene, and is a way to transfer energy (e.g. from priest to worshipper). Circumcision gives benefits to hygiene and protects against many STDs, something very useful in ancient times, especially in hot and humid climates. Furthermore, it makes it harder to masturbate. This would make you more prone to desiring actual sex instead of cumbersome masturbation, especially in the old world where there weren't lotions etc readily available. In the Old Testament as well as the Qur'an, they're extremely critical of masturbation. Why? Because they were warring peoples. They needed as many believers as possible to fight and to protect the religion, as well as to work the fields, labor etc. If everyone just spanked the monkey, where should all the new workers and soldiers come from? Communion is like baptism, it's a symbolic act hinting at an inner process of communion with something higher than yourself. Pilgrimage: just like we have meridians and points of power on our bodies (acupoints), the planet also has meridians of energy as well as points of power. If you built certain structures in line with the energy of the Earth, a specific energy is generated there. Certain structures can also connect with universal energies (e.g. from Stars, constellations etc). By going there, you can get the benefits of that energy. Relics: relics can hold energy for a long time. This allows worshippers to connect with that same energy. Conclusion Through the lens of Martinus and his spiritual science, we can quickly understand and analyse the logics of ancient cultures, peoples and religions. -
Dear Dao Bums, I would like to ask about your experiences and/or opinions on this topic: "karma visible in our energy field". Let me share some of my stories: 1) Master Zhongxian Wu A fellow student of Master Wu shared something with me: when you visualise your liver as green, that day when you see your whole liver as completely green, that organ is fully healed. As long as there are spots of other colors or dark spots, there remain some potential problem in that organ. Similarly for heart and small intestine as red, lung and large intestine as white/grey/transparent, kidney and bladder as blue/black/purple, spleen stomach and pancreas as yellow, and liver and gallbladder as green. The black spots / spots of other colors are karmas (from ancestors, from yourself or from the universe) remaining in your body, potentially causing you to fall sick later. 2) Chunyi Lin As long as there is a channel that is not open, it means there is a wrong energy blocking it. 3) Danish Mystic Martinus Martinus states that all of our karmas are visible in our energy field or aura. So someone could be walking around with a car accident in the aura, and for the psychic this would be clearly visible. 4) Damo Mitchell In one of Damo Mitchells books (I think it's his big one "a comprehensive guide to daoist neigong"), he talks about supernatural powers. One of the powers is the ability to view the whole qi field around a person. This makes the practitioner capable of predicting a person's future, as it's all visible in the different layers of the energy field. 5) Native American in Peru A coworker of mine spent 1 year in South America in Peru, trying to learn Spanish. When she was visiting a mountain deep in a jungle, as she was descending, a native american approached her. He warned her, that he could see in her aura that some bads things were just about to happen to her, and that it would be quite difficult emotionally, but that after 1 year, things would improve. When she got back to her hotel, her boyfriend called her and broke up with her. The next day she got a call that one of her parents had fallen sick, and that an animal on her childhood farm she loved had died. Everything the man told her came true in the next year, and when she pulled through, suddenly everything improved drastically. 6) My own experience After having a very mentally disturbing nadi reading last week, I went to meditate. I am initiated into Sri Vidya, and sat down to say my daily mantras for each chakra (japa). As I was going through each chakra, I saw some different dark spots and shapes inside each chakra. I intuitively understood what they meant, and understood that it was karmas from past lifetimes. They could be exhausted by experiencing them, and some of them could also be resolved through the mantras and rituals of Sri Vidya. I was happy that there was only one chakra that had a lot of bad karma stored in it, the others were much easier to deal with. However, it's going to take 1-3 years of intense rituals and mantras to clean up the worst and most intense stuff. Conclusion In the end, karma is simply energy. We have sent out energy through our thoughts, words and deeds, and this energy is bound to return to us. However, we can to a certain extent mitigate these energies, by building up opposing energies of sufficient strength. One way to do this is through qigong (posture, breathing, mantra, mudra and visualisation). Another way is through action (being good, serving others, giving to charity, forgiving, helping others etc). It's also possible through deep meditation on each chakra coupled with introspection and improvement of character (as done in SKY). Sri Vidya also gives very simple yet powerful ways of building energy through mantras, mudras and rituals. Depending on how strong your negative karma is, you need to put more energy into trying to cancelling it out. But it all comes to down being able to somehow get access to see and understand what the karmas are before they actually hit you, so you have time to build up the energy to try to neutralize them. Of course, in the end, karma is simply an educational tool of God, so another way is to simply learn our lesson then the karmas get wiped clean (according to Danish Martinus). Question What are your viewpoints, experiences or stories about the idea that karma is tangibly present and visible in our energy fields? God bless you!

Hey @Maddie, Thanks for sharing Great story Yes, I agree. Someone once asked if I could help him through meditation. I said yes. He then asked "what are your powers?". I had never been asked this before, so I didn't really know how to respond. I replied "I feel the strongest of all powers is the ability to bring peace between individuals, helping people find answers to their questions, as well as give them means to satisfy their permissible needs". By permissible I mean "halal", "kosher", in accordance with dharma or "not hurting themselves or others, in neither thought, word nor deed" but instead "being a blessing to all living beings, helping alleviate the suffering of others when possible". I agree that powers shouldn't be the focus of one's practice, as that attitude can create complete havoc on so many levels but I feel it's important to discuss frankly the mechanisms of meditation, the occurences along the way and what they mean. In general I feel that there's no need for all this "mysticism", not mysticism meaning experientially verifying the great truths by yourself (as this I strongly agree with), but meant as not being willing to use our intellect to explain or talk about what's going on. In general I value both the body, energy, emotions and mind very much, and I feel they should all be understood and used. However, of course the end goal of connecting directly with Being, Presence or Pure Consciousness should be clearly explained, and for that you need to go beyond body, energy, emotions and mind. But we're using body, energy, emotions and mind to get there, so this disregard in many traditions for these different levels, and the complete unwillingness to "just talk", I feel is not a good approach. In the end, body, energy, emotions and mind are also different expressions of the One Conscioussness, Being or Presence (whatever you want to call it). In Buddhism I guess it's Shunyata, the great Emptiness or state of no mind or something similar? (feel free to add the correct terms ) SO, to round off, I appreciate our talk and exchange, I feel it's a good thing to openly and frankly discuss with peers, having a live interaction. Guidance by scripture is good, guidance by Guru is great, exchange and guidance from peers is also good. That's how I see it. As mentioned in my story, all these masters I sought help with, they're also just human beings like you and me. It's not like they're some superior or different race or level. They're completely the same as us. They've just spent more time in a specific area (healing, qigong, transforming "nafs" (ego), meditation, mantras, rituals etc). However, just because they've reached a high level in one area, it doesn't mean they've reached a high level in another area. In my life experience, some of these masters were great in healing, but they didn't even know how to emotionally console a suffering soul (a basic skill of being human), nor how to actually solve problems with black magic and evil spirits. So that's why I also myself continue to learn and exchange, through study of scripture, meeting different masters, and exchange with peers here on Daobums even someone just starting out, they could know more than me in a particular area. Someone at my same level could likewise know more in a particular area. And of course a master could also know more than me in a particular area. By exchange, we can all learn and grow. At least that's my idea So thanks for chipping in

Omg bro, after all that I wrote, sharing all my experiences of years of blood, sweat and tears and intense personal suffering, your response still just is ‘you’re wrong’? At least take the time to explain and justify your position instead of this complete no-effort message belittling me and my life experience with just two short words ‘you’re wrong’. Come on bro. Some story about paint isn’t going to cut it, that’s still too vague and no-effort. Show some humaneness and compassion, some intelligence and clarity. If you have something you feel you can contribute, take more than 2 minutes to explain what it is you feel and justify it.

Pretty cool, thanks for sharing :-D What were you doing samatha on when you astral travelled? And what’s your top 3 greatest take-homes from your astral travel experiences?
-
Thanks for sharing What are the Asian Buddhist approaches to combatting black magic and evil spirits?
-
@Maddie What about astral travel? Have you experienced this? What does buddhist teachings say about how to acquire the power of astral travel?
-
@Maddie I will share in 4 points: 1) Intro 2) My experiences with evil spirits 3) My experiences with black magic 4) My proposed explanation integrating viewpoints on evil spirits and black magic (Buddhism, Sufism, Martinus, Hinduism etc) Intro In my opinion, this is an extremely important topic, that is extremely ignored, belittled and misunderstood by the vast majority of cultivators. Especially those with a western background. Also, even by high level masters who simply don't know about this particular area or haven't trained and studied it. My experiences with evil spirits I have personally suffered many extreme and terrifying experiences, and no matter where I sought help, I was belittled, ridiculed, ignored or misunderstood. I have seen books flying out of shelves. I have seen bagpacks and other physical items dragged back and forth on the floor. I have experienced "wind" indoors, even though it was a closed off room with no windows. I have seen shadowy/smoke like figures physically moving around, experienced physical touch even though no physical beings are there and much more. When I sought help from a hindu monk, he advised me to start japa of my guru mantra when it happened. I did it... Didn't work. When I sought help from a high level "shamanic" qigong master (you would think spirits would be a walk in the park for a shaman), I was belittled and told "not to pay attention to this illusion I am experiencing". There's nothing illusory about physical objects being thrown around by an unseen force. It's pretty much as concrete as it gets. Almighty God bless him, and bring him to clarity and allow him to actually help people with his powers of qi. When I sought help from another qigong master specialised in healing, he told me to say a prayer and do a mudra. When it didn't work, he explained it away saying that "you're just not powerful enough to do it yet, you need to cultivate more. Be my one-on-one student for 2-3 years, meet me on on a weekly zoom meeting priced at 1.600 dollars for an hour, and then in a couple of years, you will be able to do it". This healing qigong master stated that I have a very loving and very spiritual energy, and that's why troubled spirits get attracted to me. They seek help and healing from me. That's why it worsens when I travel to new places or stay overnight at places that are not my house. The troubled spirits in that place see me and come to get help. I actually believed him, and met him 3 times, wasting thousands of dollars. It didn't work! And on top of that, the clairvoyant things he told me about me and my health were flat out wrong (he said I had weak sexual energy, ejaculated in seconds and drank a lot of alcohol which damaged my liver). I am at a very advanced level of sexual qigong and lovemaking, haven't touched alcohol in more than 10 years and make love for hours daily without ejaculating with very strong erection power. So after 3 meetings, I realized he was simply a semi-psychic (he did say correctly that I had a spine injury, although there were so many other things wrong about his psychic reading), yet pretty good healer (I could feel my back getting better when he gave healings), but most of all he was just thirsty for money. So, of course I stopped seeing him. Dear God, bring him to the straight path, let him let go of his greed for money and selfishness, and instead lead him to the straight path, that he may use his gift of healing for good. I then spoke with a highly clairvoyant sufi master, who did a check on me (for free). He related my entire life story regarding troubles with spirits (without me telling him anything), and he also stated that it's because I have a lot of "light" (noor) inside my soul. This is because of all the prayers and mantras I say each day (since I was a child). He said the spirits are troubled where they are (in "bardo" or "barzakh" as it's called in Islam), and seek my help. He said I should visualise putting up spiritual sign posts around my aura, my house, or anywhere I go that says "I am sorry, I cannot help you. I myself need help, that's why I pray to the light and get that light into me. Please don't come to me, I am in no position to help you, I myself need help, that's why I pray so much. You should yourself pray to the light, then you will get help". I tried it for some time, and it helped in my own house. However, when I went to new places, it didn't work. God bless this man, he is extremely loving, knowledgable and powerfully clairvoyant. When I sought help from another sufi (via the internet), he for free did a "spiritual check" on me. He stated that yes, I have some low level evil spirits around me. He gave me (for free!) a one week program of readings of salawaat (prayers to the prophet), and reciting "bismillahir-rahmanir-rahim" (the bismillah, "in the name of God) many hundreds of times in a day. Then blow on water and drink it. I did it for 7 days, and it worked! It was from his heart and soul he wished to help me. He did it for free. I sent him 100 dollars and said that it worked, and asked if I could keep training with him. I must have paid him only a few hundred dollars, yet I spent 6-9 months corresponding with him via email. He would give me different salawaat, dhikr (name of God), verses of the Qur'an and du'a (prayers). Whenever I did a program (e.g. 7 days, 11 days, 21 days), he would tell me how it went. He would give me feedback on the energy, without me telling him anything. He was very good, he helped me a lot, and he didn't ask much in return. However, after 6-9 months, because he wanted to remain anonymous, I felt that to be a bit weird after so long, so when I had completed a big program, I stopped corresponding with him. We haven't been in contact since. What became my go-to after training with this guy, is 5 verses from the Qur'ran. Ayatul kursi (Verse about the Throne of God), and 4 verses called "the 4 qul". They are the last 4 verses of the Qur'an, and they all start with "qul" which means "say". It's Surah Nas (verse of Man), Surah Ikhlas (verse of Unity), Surah Falaq (verse of the Daybreak / rising sun) and Surah Kafiroon (verse about the Unbelievers). You recite each 11 times (11x ayatul kursi, 11x surah nas, 11x surah ikhlas, 11x surah falaq and 11x surah kafiroon). Then you blow on your right index finger, and visualise your hand coming down from the sky, and drawing a protective circle around the 4 corners of your home, and then finally around yourself, or the room that needs extra protection (e.g. bedroom, prayer room). This has been my go-to for more than 6 years. It has been the only thing that worked for me in this area. If you want to keep your house energy pure, you say 21x ayatul kursi, blow on a glass of water, and sprinkle it around your house. The combination of these two readings saved my life. God bless this man who helped me without demanding anything in return! Unlike these chinese qigong masters, just wanting money and doing nothing to help. Lately when I'm learning Sri Vidya, I feel that some of the mantras and rituals from Sri Vidya will eventually be able to give spiritual protection on an even higher level. There are 2 specific "deities" or energies generated from mantras and rituals for the navel chakra (Durga) and third eye chakra (Varahi) which specifically combat negative spiritual energies, including black magic, evil spirits, the evil eye etc. All of the above are my experiences and solutions for evil spirits so far. My experiences with black magic I have worked for the army in my country. One of my functions was as a translator and interpreter. I have been deployed several times to a UN mission in West Africa. On one of my deployments, there wasn't much work. We only worked from 6 in the morning to 2 o'clock in the afternoon. The rest of the time we we're pretty much on standby. Being stranded in a war zone, there's not much to do. So I spent all my free time reading, studying and practicing (mantras, meditation and qigong). I was in a very good spiritual state at the time due to so much practice, so I was seeing auras and energies most of the time. One time, we were training the local special forces to save hostages. The only building we could use was a big fancy hotel, yet no tourists (because of the war). So to survive, the owner of the hotel rented it out as a brothel. One day, in a break between exercises, I saw one of the prostitutes sitting on the other side of the courtyard (they just sat around and waited for the 3-4 hours that we and the local soldiers used it as a training compound). When she saw me, she started whispering something, and I saw a small cloud of black energy generating in front of her face. Then she did something with her hands, and started blowing towards me. This sent the small black cloud of energy across the courtyard towards me. It just landed in the outskirts of my aura, it didn't go in (thank God!). So nothing happened to me. When I was back in my room later that day, I meditated. Then I understood she was trying to do some black magic on me. Maybe she was trying to seduce or attract me. For a prostitute in a war zone, hooking up with a soldier deployed from Europe could be her ticket out of the warzone to a better life. Luckily, the energy wasn't powerful enough to penetrate my energy field (which was pretty charged at the time due to so much spiritual practice). And as I meditated, the cloud was just destroyed and disappeared from my field. One of the local maids cleaning my place actually put my tooth brush up in her vagina when she was cleaning the bathroom. She thought I didn't know, as I was sitting in the living room. I guess it's a primitive form of African black magic. If you ingest some of the fluids (spit, sweat or sexual fluid) of someone (especially if they say mantras while doing it), you can become more partial to liking that person (becaues you will have some of their energy inside your physical body). I bought a new tooth brush! Another woman working in the restaurant spat in my food and stirred it around to hide it. I ordered a new pasta You need to be very careful in many places of Africa, the Middle East, South America and certain parts of Asia. It's rampant with black magic and desperate people. Luckily they are usually not powerful practitioners, but you can still catch something if you're not protected and observant. My second experience is with my girlfriend. She comes from the Middle East, i.e. the vast majority of her family still lives there. When we got together, it was made public, her ethnicity in our European country as well as her family and relatives in her home country in the Middle East became aware of it. As soon as this happened, she started to fall sick. She would get wrist tendonitis, elbow tendonitis, sore knees, sore lower back, her vision would suddenly drastically reduce, she would get nauseous for no reason, got rashes, stomach ache, started to suddenly lose weight and appetite. For no reason! It just came suddenly out of the blue. She would suffer for some time and recover. Then a new problem came back. This continued for about 6 months. Before we made our relationship public, she wasn't sick even once. After we made it public, she kept continually falling ill again and again. After 6 months of this story of suffering and disease, once when I was meditating, I saw a cloud of red and black energy entering our house. It went to my girlfriend. Then it went into her wrist. That same evening, she started complaining that the wrist tendonitis was coming back. I was very surprised. I was praying and meditating, trying to understand what had happened. A few days later, I got a dream, where I saw planet Earth from above. Then I saw her country in the Middle East (Kurdistan). Then I saw clouds of red and black gathering and forming, and then they travelled to Europe to our country. When I woke up, I understood that God had heard my prayer, and given me this dream to let me know that someone in her home country was cursing her. That started an 8 month period of fighting this magic. First I consulted this qigong healer about it (the psychic one, who told me correctly about my spinal injury, but wrongly about alcohol, sex etc). He to my great surprise said that someone was putting black magic on my girlfriend, and that she should practice his "small universe" meditation to transform the energy. I was surprised he went straight to Black Magic as an explanation, even though I didn't tell him about my dreams and visions. We tried what he suggested, but it didn't work. Then I went to a hindu tantric, who has mastery over spirits, done sadhana (spiritual practice) in graveyards, and done many tamasic tantric rituals to control these spirits (e.g. animal sacrifice, bathing in blood, smearing yourself with your own filth and urine etc). When I spoke with him, he asked me to send a photo of my girlfriend. After 2-3 days, he called me and said that there is black magic on her. We should just worship and pray to God like normal, remain vegetarian, avoid alcohol, and when he visits our country, he will put a kavach (shield/armor) on her. From that day we spoke, everything stopped. So he did something remotely. After a few nights, I had a dream where I saw this swami doing something. A beam of energy went to the Middle East, where I saw someone had buried a charm inscribed with mantras and signs under the plot of one of my girlfriend's family's buildings. The beam from the swami went in and neutralized the black/red energy. I would again highlight that he did all this for free. It seems again that this phenomenon that spirituality costs money and is a business is mostly related to chinese qigong traditions. Sufis and hindus have helped me completely free of charge, just from their heart. It was about 2-3 weeks where it was completely gone, but then it returned. I tried many different sufi methods, prayers, Qur'an, tasbih (prayer beads). It was always the same. It would make it go away, but after a certain period of time, it would return. Later, after I had done a specific reading of a passage from the Qur'an about Moses fighting the black magicians of Farao, the black magic completely stopped. It took me a month, and you have to recite late at night. Then I finally had a dream where I saw this black magician in Kurdistan. Every new moon, or on specific astrological days, he goes to a kind of basement or cellar underground. Here he conducts terrible black magic rituals, involving animals, kidnapped orphans and other terrible things. That's why it's all black and red energy, because it's dirty and bloody what he does. It's someone from my girlfriend's family who's jealous of the part of the family that's gone to Europe. Then I saw him get hit with my one month program of Qur'an, and he lost all of his powers. All the energy drained from him, he became thin, weak and pale. After this it was about 6 months where we were completely free from this black magic. I thanked God and actually thought it was over. I felt kind of bad that it seemed my Moses-reading had damaged him, but I didn't mean to hurt him, I just wanted to protect my beloved girlfriend. It hadn't really hurt him, just taken away the energy he had built up and the evil spirits he was working with. After 6 months, he decided to start to try again, and start from the bottom to build up his energy (he was the most powerful black practitioner I've ever seen). But this time the things he sent were really weak. We just read some Qur'an and du'a, and it stopped. Finally, after starting Sri Vidya one and a half years ago, and we did a 41 day Varahi tarpana. Now we've been clear of black magic for about 1 year. I feel like we have built our spiritual protection so strong now, that we're mostly safe. My proposed explanation integrating viewpoints on evil spirits and black magic (Buddhism, Sufism, Martinus, Hinduism etc) I've highlighted a bunch of my experiences above. Now I'll try to make sense of it and provide an explanation. I'll use an idea of different dimensions of reality to try and explain why people misunderstand each other when it comes to black magic and evil spirits. For simplicity I'll just use the following terms: 1) Physical (shared physical world, objective reality, different beings interact with each other in an objectively verifiable sense). 2) Energetic (shared energetic world, objective albeit non-detectable reality for untrained people, objectively verifiable by people with their energetic senses open) 3) Mind (inner, individual world, unique to you, subjective reality, there's no one else here but you) 4) "Astral" (objective and shared reality with different beings interacting with each other through energy and mind) Buddhism: A big problem is that many Buddhists will brush these kinds of things off and say "it's all just mind". Someone even told me "spiritual beings viewed with ignorance, are demons", "spiritual beings viewed with wisdom, are devas". That sounds great philosophically, but it's a completely useless viewpoint when shit gets serious. Books are flying around your room, or your girlfriend is falling sick. It's not something mental, it's concrete and physical. You need to do something. Just like an intruder in your home trying to steal your stuff "it's just mind, it's just illusion". Yes, fine illusion when he slaps you in your face and rapes your family. You need to take practical action and protect yourself and your family. So all this "it's all mind" is great for a meditator going inwards, but it's not useful if you have a concrete, practical problem. Just like feeling hungry "it's just an illusion in your mind", no, you need to eat something. I feel like the misunderstanding is because the buddhist meditator is talking about "mind", whereas the person talking about problems with black magic and evil spirits is talking about the astral, energetic and physical dimensions. It's true that you can meet "darkness" in your own subjective mind, but this is not the same as the objective, shared reality in the astral, energetic and physical dimensions. Some people who are also generally confused and vague in their life experience will not have the ability to discriminate between "mind" (their own fears) and "astral" (a real, verifiable, shared and objective reality). These are the people that buddhists in general target when they say "it's all in your own mind", because they think it's just imagination. For these meditators getting lost in their own subjective minds, it's a great piece of advice. However, for people truly experiencing objective problems in the astral, energetic or physical domains, it's ridiculing, belittling and just not helpful advice. Sufism Sufism states that there are unseen beings living in an astral, objective dimension. They also differentiate between the subjective mind or ego called "nafs" and the astral world called "malakut" or world of light (angels are called malai'ka, or powerful beings of light). Hinduism Also differentiates between your own subjective mind, and the astral world. Martinus Also differentiates between inner subjective world (mind, you and your own mind), and inner objective world (spiritual world, your soul and the soul of others). Conclusion I am sure buddhism also discriminates somehow between inner subjective and inner objective world, I just don't know the correct terms. Maybe someone can help me out? The reason that these qigong masters failed to help and just tried to extract money from me, is simply because even though they're master healers, the just haven't trained in and studied the astral world. They know about the physical, energetic and mind, they just don't know about black magic and evil spirits in the astral. The sufis who helped me, they knew about energy and astral, so they could easily see what was happening and what I should do. They had trained in this and understood it. Similarly, the tantric swami had knowledge and power to help us quickly. The black magician was just very powerful, so he could break the spell from the swami and start his black magic again after a couple of weeks by repowering his buried charm through rituals. Mostly when people belittle or ridicule black magic and evil spirits, it's just because they themselves didn't have karma in this area, so they don't know about it. That's why they brush it off as unimportant and not necessary, because it wasn't important to them in their cultivation. However, if you have karma in this area, there's no escaping it. You need to read, study and understand about it, then you need to train in it (mantra, meditation, ritual etc). Then you will master it and be able to go beyond it and continue your cultivation undisturbed. All traditions have sections of their teachings dealing with this, it's just not all masters who've studied this section of their tradition. Because they didn't need it, they state that no one else needs it (wrong assumption and bias to think everyone is like you and need the same as you did. Wrong. We're all different and unique, we need different things). God bless you all!

Thanks for sharing, I appreciate your clarity and simplicity in explaining one can tell your words carry the weight of being experiential knowledge, and not theory from a book. I appreciate that For me it's similar; when I meditate a lot, many things just happen. I usually meditate on mantras or the pulsating vibration of the life force inside my body. I have that same experience, when the mind is still, things start happening beautifully put, I must say. When I meditate less, the frequency and intensity of these kind of occurences start to slow down, and eventually disappear until I meditate deeply again.
-
Thanks for sharing That's pretty cool. I've done a lot of breath work, but I've never spent much time meditating on the breath. So it's quite interesting to hear your sharing Do you view auras constantly, when you're in a good state, when you look for it, or does it just happen spontaneously on its own from time to time?
-
Thanks for sharing! I'm superficially familiar with Buddha's life story and Tibetan Buddhist practice methods, but not in depth and detail. I looked up samatha and found it to be "concentration" on one object (perhaps similar to dharana and dhyana in sanskrit?). What were you doing samatha on when you opened the capacity to view auras?
