Dear Dao Bums, In the spirit of sharing, what are your personal greatest hits? My personal top 3 is: 1) Simplified Kundalini Yoga (Vethathiri Maharishi), 2) Talisman qigong (Zhongxian Wu), 3) Sri Vidya (Amritananda / Devipuram). A little bit about each: 1) Simplified Kundalini Yoga (Vethathiri Maharishi) In this system your chakras are opened and empowered by a master one by one, allowing you to tangibly feel the pulsating vibration of energy in each chakra. It takes all the guesswork away, you don't need to rely on outer feedback anymore, you can yourself feel how strong your chakras are. Meditating on each chakra provides specific benefits. It's a complete system for increasing and transmuting sexual energy (kaya kalpa), building health through physical exercises (asanas, pranayama, massage and acupressure), building energy through meditation allowing you to achieve peace of mind and enlightenment, introspection for improving your moral character and getting rid of negative karmic imprints (vasanas/samskaras) and finally philosophical explanations for God, the universe, evolution, astrology etc. Beside the chakra meditations (7 inside the body, 2 outside, 9 in total), there are numerous other meditations which give unique benefits: Panchendriya (5 senses): this strengthens your 5 senses even until old age, and further gives your mind control of the senses. Panchabhuta Navagraha (5 elements and 9 planets): harmonize with universal forces and energies, cultivate energy, improve your destiny. Nityananda (meditating on the energy pervading all over the body): gives ecstatic pleasure and strengthens energy all over your body. Divine State Meditation: helps you to again and again understand and feel the oneness between you, the universe and all living beings. Lamp Gazing: improving eyesight, purifying and energizing your soul, mind, brain and energy, and over time can give supernatural skills. Mirror gazing: one of the most powerful meditations, increasing energy in your body manifold very quickly. Over time can also give supernatural skills. Above is a general description of the system, let me share my personal journey and breakthroughs along the way. 1st breakthrough: when I got the first initiation, I felt a little something between my eyebrows, but not very noticeable. However, when I meditated that night, my God, it was insane. The vibration was so strong and powerful, my mind became completely still, and I just sat in complete peace. 2nd breakthrough: when I got the third initation, sahasrara chakra, I was blown away. When I meditated on the vibration in the crown chakra, I felt the same orgasmic pleasure as just before ejaculating. However, instead of being in the prostate area, and ending after a few seconds, the orgasmic ecstasy just stays in your crown chakra and brain during the whole meditation. At this point... I increased my meditation time a lot 3rd breakthrough: when I got my dwadasangham chakra (12 fingers above the head) opened, after about 1-2 weeks of meditation, one day I felt it REALLY open. Immediately, I was flooded with information. Questions and doubts about life, the universe, things that had happened to me, answers just flooded my consciousness. And whenever I thought of a question, the answer immediately came. I felt at one with God. This also made me meditate much longer, because it was just so interesting. After some weeks, I had no more questions, so I just sat in complete peace and oneness. Nowadays, whenever something is going on in my life, I sit and meditate, and I will understand what's going on and why. 4th breakthrough: lamp gazing. I got SO much more energy after starting lamp gazing. It probably increased my energy levels 5 times or so. 5th breakthrough: when all chakras were opened, I realized just how weak my navel chakra had been. I got so much more energy and much better digestion when I could finally meditate on my navel chakra. 6th breakthrough: mirror gazing. This exercise is insane. My energy must have increased by 10 fold or more when I started doing it. To this day, I can't understand why it is SO powerful, but it increases my energy so much. I rarely ever fall sick, and I am always full of energy now. 7th breakthrough: becoming a master and initiating others. You simply do mirror gazing and meditation on the morning you give initiations to boost your own energy. Just before giving initiation, you say a prayer to God and Vethathiri. Every single time, energy just floods into your system, empowering either your hands or eyes, depending on which initiation you're about to give. It's truly magnificent. I can only imagine how powerful Vethathiri had been while still alive in the body, seeing that such strong energy still comes, simply because of his sankalpa to help as many as possible through SKY. 2) Talisman qigong (Zhongxian Wu) I was doing a 3 day workshop on his cosmic orbit qigong, which I really enjoyed. Due to a ticket sale, I would stay 3 more days after the workshop before flying home. Because Master Wu also stayed some days after the workshop, he decided to offer a one day workshop on "calligraphy healing qigong" for just 25 euros. I was so sceptical and there was no way I believed "painting" could be used as a way of healing. However, I was there for 3 days with nothing to day, and 25 euros was nothing, so I decided to try out the workshop. I came there just to pass time, expecting nothing. However, when we did the mantras, mudras and visualisation, I really felt energy come into my body. Then he asked us to practice healing on each other, and I just didn't believe it to be possible. To my great surprise, it worked! The lady I worked on could really feel my energy and that of the talisman inside her body. I was so surprised. I thought it was probably because I had already been meditating daily for 4 years. But there was no way that this elderly lady with no spiritual background could perform healing on me, she had no training, nor any energy to give. Even when she used the talisman to heal me, I really felt the energy from the talisman coming into my body! I was so surprised. It was not that powerful, but it still worked. I was blown away. Master Wu told us to go back home and practice daily for 49 days, then we would have access to this talisman's healing energy. We could use it on ourselves and others, or even to paint a talisman on paper to use for improving fengshui in the home. I went back home to practice, still not really believing it could be possible. I saw everything through the lens of hinduism: healing I considered a kind of siddhi, and acquiring siddhi is extremely difficult. At that point, I had done years and years of daily mala japa (chanting with prayer beads) of a mantra, completing many purascharans, and it had been quite difficult. And that was just to purify myself, come closer to God and prepare myself for higher sadhana (spiritual practice), including other sadhanas that could produce siddhis or supernatural powers. When I got back home and started practicing, I would do the talisman healing on myself, and I felt that it worked. About 10 days into my 49 day practice, my parents heard about my 49 day project. From that day, they asked me to call them every day when I was practicing, and they asked me to help heal different issues. Also as remote healing (something I didn't even believe in at the time). No matter what I did, it just worked! It worked every single time. They would call me after the healing and tell me everything they had experienced during the remote healing. About 21 days into my 49 days, random friends of my parents would call me and ask for healing. So during my 49 days, I hadn't even finished the 49 days, still the talisman energy was helping me to heal myself, siblings, parents, friends of my parents, and also a few strangers. This experience completely exploded my worldview at the time, and that's why I decided to keep training with Master Wu. I've since then learnt the talismans for all 5 elements (White Tiger, Green Dragon, Red Bird, Mystical Warrior and Mother of the Big Dipper). Mystical Warrior is northern water energy, Mother of the Big Dipper is central, earth energy. I actually spent all my money, and even lend from my grandmother, to travel and learn these talismans (at the time I was still studying, so I had low funds). I spend as little as possible on food and hotel when I was there, so I could pay everything back to her when I got back I still use it for myself, and sometimes if others ask for healings. I also use it to bless what I eat and drink sometimes. 3) Sri Vidya (Amritananda / Devipuram) This is a formerly secret system of Hindu Goddess Worship, which Amritananda has decided to share openly with the world. All Goddess worship can provide great supernatural powers, and the energies also have a great effect on our wordly life, e.g. increasing money and succes, healing etc. I never really cared for hindu ritual worship, I felt it to just be an empty show, and a way of extracting money from the poor. Priests and astrologers convincing poor people they had bad karma and needed to pay huge sums of money for them to do rituals on their behalf. However, when I saw a picture of Bala Tripura Sundari, I felt strangely attracted towards it. These weird feelings prompted me to try and do the beginners module. In the end, if it didn't work, I could just stop after the first module. I got diksha (initiation) for the mantras for the root, sexual and navel chakras. Furthermore, I learnt several rituals for each chakra: tarpana (water ritual), puja (prayer ceremony) and homa/havan (fire ritual). I did it just to try it out. First I did a 41 days tarpana for the root chakra God Ganesha/Ganapati (elephant God). I actually felt energy coming into my root chakra and circulating in the 4 nadis of the root chakra. This suprised me a lot! Further, when I was about 38 days in, I got a call from someone, offering me a side hustle to earn more money. On the 44th day (I continued the ritual a few days extra, because there were a few days my wife didn't do it with me, so for her to also reach 41 days, we extendend it 3 days), I got another call, yet again with another side hustle opportunity. I was really surprised! Firstly, I actually felt the mantra opening and circulating energy in my root chakra and nadis. Secondly, I felt the ritual actually had an effect on my worldly life! This I felt to be the magic from movies, books, series etc, where a wizard does certain rituals to change his life and acquire powers. Therefore I continued with Sri Vidya, and it just keeps giving. I have been given mantras and rituals for the root, sexual, navel, heart and 3rd eye chakra, and I am in the process of completing them all (tarpanas I have completed for all, pujas I have 2 to go, havan I am currently in the process of finishing for all). After this, I will get the final and ultimate mantra for the crown chakra, as well as the ultimate ritual performed directly on the Sri Meru / Sri Yantra / Sri Chakra. This is supposed to be the ultimate, making it possible to acquire all worldly pleasures, all spiritual powers as well as complete enlightenment. Conclusion: My personal greatest hits are: 1) Simplified Kundalini Yoga (Vethathiri Maharishi), this taught me deep meditation. 2) Talisman qigong (Zhongxian Wu), this taught me healing. 3) Sri Vidya (Amritananda / Devipuram), this taught me rituals and mantras to assist my worldly and spiritual life. Question: What are your personal greatest hits on the spiritual path? You can include a small summary of the system, as well as your personal journey and breakthroughs God bless you!

Thanks, I appreciate you sharing your understanding of daoist cosmology and numerology (yin yang, si xian, wu xing, bagua and yi jing) i.e. 2x4=8, 8x8=64. I always found it quite cool that there's this 1:1 relationship between maths and their philosophical understand of the building blocks of the universe I've never thought about the yi jing as particularly describing the totality of the mind before, so thanks for sharing your viewpoint on that I feel that is actually a very valid viewpoint, so thanks for introducing me to that idea. I actually value you linking Daoism and Science, because I personally always struggled with making them fit together. I found Daoism to be so symbolic and so "everything is in everything" to be a bit too vague for my liking, but seeing you clearly tie things together makes me open up to the possibility that yes, it can actually be used as a science of reality. Because for me, I usually associate science with discrimination, clarity and precision, which I feel this painting prophet I've referenced has a lot of, as do Hinduism (from my perspective). But now that I think about it, Daoism does too, just in a slightly different way, which puts more emphasis on the "oneness" and "the same patterns repeat themselves" on the different levels of the universe (microcosmic, mesocosmic and macrocosmic), compared to Science, the Patining Prophet and Hinduism, which also use the oneness and micro/meso/macrocosmic model, yet put more emphasis on the individuated part, providing more clarity, precision and discrimination. Thanks for sharing, it's opened up my inquiry to explore that daoism, hinduism, the painting prophet and science explore the same reality, and employ the same concepts (oneness, repeating patterns, micro/meso/macrocosmos, clarity, precision, discrimination), they just put different emphasis on each variable.

I agree with you to a large extent this is actually a pretty fascinating subject, thanks for chipping in! Inspired by this painting prophet, I don't believe anything can happen to us that is not our karma. E.g. even suffering natural disasters is also not random or you suffering from someone else's actions/energies. This is also your own karma. Dying an untimely and sudden death (e.g. natural disaster, car crash, plane crash, train crash, accidents, falling down from somewhere etc) is actually a karma from eating meat according to the painting prophet. The reasoning is that the animals getting slaughtered are young and full of life, and naturally wish to live their full lifespan. Suddenly one day, out of the blue, someone else they have absolutely no relationship or dealing with suddenly takes their life (the butcher). The animals experience this as "an accident". Even though you don't slaughter animals yourself, eating its meat gives you the karma. Because no one would slaughter animals if not some meat eaters were craving it and paying for it. Dying in a car crash is similar: you're young, you still have zest for life and wish to live your full live span. Suddenly, someone you don't know nor have had any dealing with takes your life in an accident. Natural disasters are the same pattern. There's no intentionality of hurt involved, no feelings of anger/hate/jealousy, it's just an accident involving the loss of life. This is one of the explanations given by the painting prophet for the karma causing death by natural disaster (e.g. the Tsunami example you shared). Actually this painting prophet's explanations has made it an intellectual hobby of mine to do "karmic analysis" of everything that happens in order to try to understand the patterns of the universe So I really appreciate our discussion on this favorite subject of mine What are your thoughts on this meat eating karma -> untimely and sudden accidental death pattern?

I'm going over a pretty cool book currently, it explains spiritual truths with different painted symbols. Your post got me to thinking about this one: The circle is the Earth. The colors are different sections of it's aura, carried by it's microcosmic beings (human beings). The lower, right part in dark orange symbolizes the people on Earth still holding on to the belief that peace can be achieved through war. Therefore they wage offensive wars. They believe peace is only achievable by destroying the "other", i.e. people unlike themselves (in regards to race, religion and culture). The lower left part in a lighter orange symbolizes the people on Earth believing that it's only right that the "agressors" should be vanquished, so they wage defensive wars. Their belief is "justified anger" or "holy war" to defend themselves against the "other". The upper part in the yellow believe in peace, harmony and cooperation, and that all peoples can learn to co-exist. I.e. they're pacifists. On the two lower parts, the ones who believe in war as a solution, two great and smoky flames are coming onto them from each side. This symbolizes the karma they're creating, as well as the karma they're going to be receiving. The upper part is under the moral guidance of the star, symbolizing providence. The orange beam coming down from the star symbolize the ancient religions (e.g. animistic religions), the yellow symbolize the newer religions (buddhism and christianity) and the white symbolize "spiritual science" (the newest impulse of Divine guidance having gone over the Earth). The painter of these symbols is the "prophet" for this newest impulse. The upper part has received the guidance of Almighty God through his different impulses sent over the Earth to help mankind, therefore they seek to peacefully co-exist. Because of this, their good karma will protect them from the terrors of war. They will only suffer indirect consequences (e.g. economic, seeing the wars on TV, maybe serving as hospitals receiving refugees or hurt people from the war), but they will not be bombed, shot, killed, maimed nor tortured, as their karma protects them.

Hey @EFreethought, Sounds great with the SKY master. SKY changed my life it's my number one greatest hit. Yes, there's a system given for when to do which meditations. 1st initiation (3rd eye): you meditate on your 3rd eye chakra (agnya) 2 times a day for 3-7 days in a row, then you're ready for the next. 2nd initiation (root chakra): you meditate on your root chakra 2 times daily for 7 days in a row to strengthen the energy. Between 2nd and 3rd initiation: now you go into a steady rhythm of agnya meditation 2 times daily every day, and root chakra 2 times a day on fridays. 3rd initiation (crown chakra): after getting your crown chakra opened, you meditate for 5 minutes on agnya, and 10 minutes on the crown daily for 7 days. If you wish to meditate longer, you can do 10 minutes on agnya and 20 minutes on the crown. Just do double the time on crown as you do on agnya. Between 3rd and 4th initiation: now you go into a rhytm again of meditating on agnya and sahasrara twice a day each day (double the time on sahasrara, like I explained above). On fridays you meditate twice a day, solely on the root chakra. 4th initiation: now you get your dwadasangham chakra opened, as well as shakti kalam (universal energy field) and shiva kalam (absolute space). The new rhytm for meditating now is: 1 minute on agnya, 2 minutes on crown, 2 minutes on dwadasangham, 1 minute on moon, 1 minute on sun, 4 minutes on universal energy field (shakti kalam) and 5 minutes on absolute space (shiva kalam). Then you come back down the same way spending only 15-30 seconds on each (shiva kalam -> shakti kalam -> sun -> moon -> dwadasangham -> crown). You end on the crown. Here you also learn panchendriya meditation (5 senses), panchabhuta navagraha (5 elements 9 planets) and lamp gazing. After the 4th initiation you will do lamp gazing daily for 7 days each early morning. You will do shakti & shiva kalam as your meditation for those 7 days. Panchendriya you do when needed (to strengthen eyesight, hearing etc). Panchabhuta and navagraha you do on new moon and full moon days as your meditation. Between 4th and 5th initiation: now you will do the above meditation (shiva & shakti kalam) twice a day daily, lamp gazing once per week on a morning, root chakra meditation twice daily on fridays, panchabhuta and navagraha you do on new moon and full moon days as your meditation. 6th initiation: now you will get all your chakras opened, as well as learn mirror gazing and nityananda meditation. The following week you will meditate daily on all chakras (9 centre meditation) and do mirror gazing in the mornings for those same 7 days. You will do nityananda meditation when/if needed. Rhythm after full initiation: you will do 9 center meditation and/or panchabhuta navagraha on new moon and full moon days. You will do lamp gazing once per week on a morning. You will do mirror gazing another day during the week, also on a morning. You will do root chakra twice on fridays. Panchendriya you will do when/if needed. Nityananda you will do when/if needed. The remaining days it is suggested to do the the shakti & shiva kalam meditation (agnya, sahasrara, moon, sun, shakti kalam, shiva kalam, come back down). The above is the suggested rhytm Yes, chakra meditation in SKY and Sri Vidya is quite different. In SKY, due to the direct transfer of energy to your chakras, allowing you to feel the energy pulsing and vibrating, the meditation is simply observing this vibration in the chakra. All senses shut down (hearing, sight, smell and taste) and only the feeling sense is active, because you're feeling the vibration. Here you sit down, do your breathing and prayers, sit and observe the vibration for 15-30 minutes, say you prayers and end. In Sri Vidya, you meditate on the chakras using mantras. You're given a mantra, and the more you repeat it, the more you connect with the energy of the mantra. The energy in the mantra then goes into the related chakra, opens and activate it more and more over time, and finally circulate energy in the chakra and nadi (during the mantra recitation). Here you sit down, repeat the mantras for as long as desired (10-120 minutes), then end. SKY is a pure energy meditation, where Sri Vidya is a mantra meditation. It depends on the individual, and if you're good at meditating in general, SKY is much easier and faster to open your chakras and get their benefits. Sri Vidya is much harder and takes longer, but it does something potentially different in the long run. I haven't experienced it myself yet, but Amritananda states in an interview, that if you complete a purascharana of a mantra, you will befriend that deity. Purascharan means worshipping the deity with each element in the following manner: Energy/Space element: say the mantra 100.000 x the syllables in the mantra. E.g 5 syllables = 500.000 reps, 9 syllables 900.000. This will allow you to communicate with the deity, e.g. speak to it and listen to it, as sound waves travel like energy through space. Air element: do puja (prayer ceremony) daily for the duration of the entire purascharana. This is related to touch, as you touch all the elements during worship (earth, water, fire, air and energy) when you make offerings to the deity. This will allow you to touch the deity, and the deity to touch you. Fire element: you do 10% of the total mantra chants for that mantra (100.000x amount of syllables) as fire rituals. In the case of 900.000 mantras offered for the energy/space element, you would offer 90.000 thousand for the fire element, into the fire as a havan/homa/fire ritual. This will give the deity form, allowing you to see it. Water element: you do 10% of the fire offerings as water offerings, called tarpana. E.g. if you did 90.000 offerings of the mantra into the fire, you will do 9000 mantras while offering water (tarpana). This will give the deity life. Just like water in our body is blood, giving us life, giving the deity water gives it life. Some of our blood is plasma and thick, some of it is water and thin. To give the thick blood, you will offer 10% of the water offerings as marjanam/abhishekam. In our example it would be 900 marjanams. This is simply water with added ghee (butter), milk, yoghurt and/or honey depending on which deity it is. Earth: giving food to 10% of the no. of marjanams, in our example it would be feeding 90 people. Food is the earth element, when you offer food to others in order to please the deity, the thanks and gratitude experience by the 90 people gives the deity the life energy from the food. When you have done all 5 elements, in our example 900.000 mantras for the energy/space element, daily puja through the purascharan for the air element, 90.000 mantras for the fire element, 9000 for the water element, 900 for thick water element, and fed 90 people, you will get siddhi on that mantra (through God's and Guru's grace). This will allow you to talk with and listen to, feel and be touched by, see and be seen by the deity in a live form. They can then help you with many things in your life, as well as guide and counsel you about your life, karma and spirituality. Then they can help you spiritually and materially. E.g. if you wish to acquire a certain spiritual power, they can tell you the spiritual practice to accomplish that, and help and protect you while you're doing it. If you wish to earn more money, they can ask you to do some good deeds, and in return they will help you with your job or other money making situation. If you wish to learn healing, or to heal yourself or others, they can likewise state what spiritual practice or lifestyle/diet change you need to make. I have yet to experience it, but it sounds pretty damn cool In SKY they state that it's also possible to astral travel and communicate with souls through meditation, as well as acquire the power of spiritual sight, but it is not taught officially anymore. These powers are said to be latent in the genital and navel chakra (see and talk with souls, as well as astral travel), and can be awakened through meditation. This would also allow you to connect with spiritual beings, but it's an indirect manner, since this is not the point in SKY. Whereas Sri Vidya is direct, as it is the point to connect with the deity. So indirectly, if you focus on lamp and mirror gazing, you could open up your spiritual sight. If you meditate deeply for prolonged periods of time on the genital chakra, you would be able to see, sense and communicate with souls. If you meditate deeply for prolonged periods of time on the navel chakra, you would be able to astral travel. I'm personally still trying to befriend the old school SKY masters in order to be able to learn the above, especially astral travel sounds really cool to me. They used to teach it at the master level, but they stopped it in the mid 90s. My teacher and his wife told me their experiences of astral travel during their own master's course, and it was super cool (to me). They themselves didn't think much of it; they simply went back to their native villages to see their families, and then returned to the Temple where the course was being held. They then called up their families and asked what they did that morning, and it was what they had seen when astral traveling (this was a way Vethathiri wanted them to see, that it was truly real what they experienced). But of course it's easy to discount such an experience of astral travel as not that epic, when you've already tried it, and have the blessing and empowerment to do it at will

Hey @EFreethought, Different meditation systems bring different benefits. Just like "I've been jogging for 20 years, but I can't benchpres 150kg!" Or "I've been swimming for 20 years, but I can't do a handstand and a sommersault!" Jogging, swimming and weight training are all sport, it's physical exercise, it's healthy. However, beside this categorical similarity, they're also quite different. Strength, Cardio, Flexibility, Body Control, each sport contains various elements of each. It's similar with meditation. All meditation will bring you peace and relaxation in body and mind. However, besides this, different styles of meditation bring very different benefits. E.g. qigong meditation is more focused on physical health and healing and building your qi. Sufi meditation is more focused on refining your "nafs" or ego, so your soul becomes transparent for almighty God, allowing you to have the strength to follow islamic moral commandments. Hindu mantra meditation could be more focused on achieving love for the divine (bhakti), faith (shraddha), dharma (religion), artha (wealth), kama (enjoyment/pleasure) or moksha (liberation). So perceiving auras is something quite particular, it's not all meditations that will develop this ability. I feel like it would mostly be meditations related to energy and working with energy that would develop this skill, compared to mindful relaxation for example, or saying mantras in order to love God more.

I feel like you're overly simplifying what I think I put quite nuanced. Karma is an educational tool, this cannot be stopped. If you don't learn your lesson, of course there's no escape. I can't pray to God that I should never be caught, and then go steal and commit crime. Or pray that water should not run out of the tap, and then turn on the water. I found this quite obvious, but maybe it wasn't clear enough, so that's why I'm re-emphasising it. You cannot use mantras or rituals to escape your learning. Okay, I hope it's clear now. You need to grow, learn and evolve, never hurt yourself or others in neither thought word nor deed, and help ease the suffering of others when possible; be a blessing to all living beings. When you have the above DOWN 100%, you've mastered it, then, and only then, is when I talk about mantras and rituals to generate energy to improve your life. This energy can improve your health, your wealth, your love, your happiness, and even your capacity for serving others. You can come closer to Almighty God, learn the secrets of the universe and live in harmony with all living beings. If you never fall sick, you have more energy and time to help others and enjoy life with yourself and your family. If you have sufficient wealth, you can enjoy life with yourself and your family, and help others much more through charity compared to if you're poor. If you and your partner truly love each other, this will spread to the children, the extended family and also the community. It's similar with happiness, peace, joy and morals. Mantras and rituals can give that energetic boost and supercharge you and your energy, as well as your connection with the universe. E.g. you have a karmic tendency for disease in your body from your ancestors, this you can purify and heal. You have a latent tendency from your ancestors and/or your upbringing to easily get angered, jealous or possesive, this you can also work on with mantras and rituals (beside normal psychological character improvement and introspection). There's a corona out-break, you can fortify your immunity through extra qigong, mantras and rituals. I hope you get my point now live your life perfectly in the usual, rational, scientific and moral sense, and then add mantras and rituals on top of that, for that extra boost.

Dear Dao Bums, Question: Did any of you ever get a "naadi" astrology reading? Aka a palm leaf astrology reading? If yes, please share your story, experience, if everything came true, how did the remedies work etc. Story: In the past there were great saints and sages (aka maharishis) roaming India. In South India there was a group of rishis devoted to Shiva. Through their practices, they were granted the power (siddhi) of knowing the past, present and future of all people to ever live on Earth. In their great devotion to God and in a spirit of service to mankind, they wished to help all of mankind. Therefore they saw many millenia into the future, and saw exactly which people would eventually come to seek their help. The rishis then wrote in ancient tamil on dried palm leaves. They wrote the destinies of all people who would ever come to seek help. The leaf will start at the exact time of your life, when they foresaw you would come seeking guidance. It will give you the exact guidance you need (divided into 12 chapters, general, father, mother, siblings, work, marriage, spirituality, karma etc), and list out exactly what will happen to you for the rest of your life. In the karma portion, they will list your worst karmas from previous lives, and give the remedies needed to undo or counter these karmas. That's the story of Naadi Astrology. Personal experience: I've heard amazing stories of naadi astrology since I was a kid, but I never managed to get a reading for myself. I have searched several times while visiting India, but I couldn't get to any. Now, I've finally managed to get a reading! I booked it online (even though I am still extremely skeptic) and I'm going to get a reading in the middle of March. It has taken 4 months from when I submitted my thumb print and for the readers in India to actually locate my leaf (the libraries are spread all over with no centralized system). And now I will have to wait one more month for my actual reading, because the time zones need to match up. I am extremely excited! I will share my experience once I get the reading Until then, I hope to hear from you guys: Did you get a reading? Have you heard stories about people getting readings? If yes, please share God bless you
-
Thanks for sharing Would you mind explaining your journey and practice in aura reading? This is something I also find very interesting God bless you!
-
Thanks for sharing your opinion. So, pray tell, who are these incredible masters of naadi? If you respond people "haven't earned it", I'm just going to interpret it as fantastical claim with no backing, or even worse, your lack of moral sentiment and compassionate obligation to serve other living beings. If you actually respond with the names, contact info, links etc, kudos to you, you support your fantastical claims, as well as display compassion for your fellow living beings on this Earth and thereby improve your own "merit".

@Ajay0 Thanks for sharing! Yes, I have been reading and watching everything I can about nadi since my reading, and it's really messing with me. The guy I got it from has hundreds of testimonials and ratings, and also a lot of video testimonials with incredible stories. Further, he also shares his own story in many of the videos. All in all, it all sounds/looks promising. However, I just didn't get any of that from my own reading. The matching process was clearly, clearly cold-reading, no doubt about it. Further, the astrology reading about my life; in itself, it sounds like a probable life trajectory. However, they really build on and use a lot of the information they extracted from me during the cold reading masqued as a "matching process". This also makes me very sceptical. On top of that, a lot of the "interesting" stuff I've heard about from others, e.g. past lives, past life karma, anything from my past really, when I'm going to die, when my parents are going to die, health tips (herbs and diet) and many other interesting things, were just not there in my reading. A big convincing factor in many nadi readings, at least from when I read about it, is that they tell you a lot of exact things about your life before the nadi reading. E.g. at 10 you fell down and had an accident, at 20 you had a crush on someone, you've always felt devoted to God your whole life, you always loved your family, just some personal stuff that no one knows about you. There was nothing like that in my reading at all. All in all it really messes with me that this guy has hours and hours of interviews on youtube with himself sharing his story, his fomer clients sharing their incredible story, and I've even confronted him after my reading with many of my points of why my reading was cold reading, yet he doesn't own up to it, he just tried to evade, and now he's just not responding. It messes with me, because there are just 3 options: 1) He's 100% good, he himself has been fooled by the indian nadi readers, and he just doesn't want to admit that he's also fooled hundreds of people and dedicated his whole life to a scam and actually cheated people, 2) He's 100% evil, he has knowingly spend years of his life building this scam and cheating people, now he's been caught by my arguments, and he just doesn't want to admit he's a scammer, 3) He is mixed good and evil, he knows the matching process is a scam, yet he justifies it to himself that the astrology part has actually helped himself and others, therefore he goes on with it. No matter which option it is, it really messes with me. E.g. in option 1 that someone could dedicate years of their life, and not realize it's a scam. In option 2, that someone could knowingly spend years and thousands of hours on a lie (how could someone do that?). In option 3, just admit the truth, you're masquerading as spiritual, truth is the foundation of spirituality. So yeah, it has really messed with me a lot. I just want the truth so I can "close the case" on nadi.

Thanks for sharing your story! Yes, the reason I went to get a Nadi reading even though my analytical mind's "fake fake fake" alarm bell was going off, is also due to stories I've heard. One of my father's close friends, who also used to look after me when I was a child, he also got a nadi reading. This was in the 90s, in the middle of the jungle in South India, back when there was no internet nor cellphones. And he says it's still, to this day, the most mind-blowing thing he has ever experienced. They gave his parent's and siblings name and age, things that had occurred in his childhood, and also gave predictions for the rest of his life. I spoke with him about 6 months ago, where he said that all the predictions had come true. His story is what motivated me to get my own reading. The hypothesis that's forming in my mind to explain all of this, is that the whole "unique palm leaf written by a maharishi" stuff is just marketing. However, the astrology reading is actually a legit astrology reading. They're probably employing a unique "nadi" astrology system, unique to South India. And due to their "marketing", they charge a premium, because they market their astrology service as unique. A normal astrology reading in the West is usually 50-250 dollars, where these nadi reader's charge double. 1) A fee for "finding your palm leaf", 2) a fee for the matching process and 3) the reading. So they provide 3 services, where 2 of them is complete BS. So they should lower the price by two thirds, and then be honest that it's just a normal astrology reading, albeit a unique astrological system. Then they would run a fair, honest and transparent business, where they're not deceiving people, but instead actually trying to help and serve their fellow living beings with this unique astrological system.
-
I just went and watched as many readings as I could on youtube, and I was appalled to find that it's the EXACT same questions they pose everyone. They simply have a list of questions they go over in their "cold reading", and they use it for all. And ask yourself, does their whole narrative even make sense? "A maharishi from 3000 years ago with siddhi on Shiva and trikaladrishti/divya dristhi saw you would come, so he wrote your destiny to aid you". Why on earth would this siddha/maharishi write on a palm leaf "your name starts with ABCDE". It's nonsensical. He would just write "your name is XYZ, you're this age, these are your problems, these are your solutions". Why would they "play games" across the ages asking these types of questions??? It's completely absurd. Why would they write "your father's name has 5 or 6 letters?" he would just state "your father's name is XYZ". I can't believe how blind I have been to this f'ing circus and bunch of fake tricksters that Nadi is, nor how anyone else with a somewhat analytical mind wouldn't immediately detect this mountain of BS. I know the people in India are just poor and unemployed, and have to make money for their families some way, I get it. They could still opt for honest work though, instead of tricking others with this fake narrative. They could just sell normal astrology readings without this whole BS framework. However, the western people pushing this stuff to other western people... either they're extremely naive and have been tricked/fooled by the Indian readers, or they're knowingly deceiving other people to extract their money. Either way, dear dao bums, please stay clear of nadi. And bless and pray for these fakers to come to the straight and narrow. God bless them, may they change their ways, and also live in peace, health, harmony and wisdom, and earn their livelihood in a way that's a blessing to all living beings.

I've been sadly researching astrology for the past 4 hours in order to see whether the doshas they gave for my horoscope were indeed complete bogus. To my great surprise I have found that in certain systems of South Indian astrology, the problems/doshas do actually form in my horoscope, albeit they are very rare combinations, you can't just look them up quickly, you have to dig deep for some time and look at several divisional charts to find them. Of course you can't just trust any online source, especially in astrology. However, mangal dosha is indeed formed in one of my divisional charts (dosha combinations as given by only certain types of South Indian astrology). Pitru dosha is also formed in my horoscope only according to some systems of astrology. So that's why I've never found these doshas myself before (I've always employed North Indian astrology), and neither have I heard about it from any astrologers (all I've ever gone to have been from North India). Further, if I use free online calculators, they also say I don't have any of these doshas in my horoscope. Only one south indian site's calculator said I had a weak/low mangal dosha. This same site also said I have pitru dosha, even though no other sites' calculators said so. That's why I resorted to manually reading about the rules for formations of these doshas in several systems of astrology, and manually checking all my charts for them. Conclusion: maybe, just maybe, these doshas are found in particular systems of South Indian astrology, even though they don't show up in other systems of astrology. So, that may be a slight "defense" for the astrology reading. The whole "package" of nadi leaves being thousands of years old, the fake matching process, a maharishi wrote them etc, that's all fake. It's just a particular type of astrology they use themselves. So it could be that they just read up what their astrology book says on your horoscope, and give you that, and then add some things here and there wanting to make more money.

Dear Dao Bums, I am quite sad and disappointed to inform you about my Nadi Reading. It was clearly, outrageously fake. The whole "matching" process is just shameless "cold reading". "Does your father's name start with ABCDE?" No "Does it start with FGHIJK?" Yes "Is it F or G?" No "Is it H or I" Yes "Is it H?" Yes And the guy is clearly taking notes to your yes/no statements. And then he periodically just reads up from his notes, the statements they have verified from you until they hit a point they don't know about. Then they simple rinse and repeat until they have your name, partner's name, parents name and number and age of siblings. Then they just read it back to you and say all excitedly "congratulations, we've find your leaf!" and all they did was just read back info the shamelessly cold-read from you. And they also grow tired. They couldn't figure out my dad's name, because it's a very rare and specific local name, so they just guessed and guessed yet couldn't find it. It was the same for my partner's name. When they grew tired, they just said "we've found your leaf! Everything is correct, only father's name is not, and your partner's name was close enough, so it is still your leaf". Then they need a 10-15 minute "break" to "meditate" over your leaf. It's just BS. They just look up your horoscope in a book and write down what it says. Then they read it back to you. The astrology reading per se is ok, it's simply them reading the given predictions for your horoscope, e.g. "this kind of ascendant makes you like this", something you can just look up for free online. It's like any other astrology service you can find, nothing special. Plus, they just take what you've told them during the process and say "oh, you have this and this dosha(problem)", it's not even there in the horoscope, they just make it up, to make you pay for them doing a remedial ritual. E.g. I am in my early thirties and unmarried and no child, that's not normal in indian culture. So they just say "oh, you have mangal dosha and pitru dosha", even though I have had about 10-12 vedic astrology readings in my life, and I have myself learnt basic astrology, and these doshas are not in my horoscope. Just because I said I was unmarried and childless, they make it up and say "oh, you have this and this dosha". And shamelessly!!! During the remedy session, they start out with saying the main remedy for my karma is to donate money SPECIFICALLY to the guy reading the leaf, they say it by name "your karmic remedy is to donate money to this guy xyz on the call". And because I asked a question about black magic, to which they answered there's no such problem present in my horoscope, still, they saw a possibility for profit, so during the remedy sesssion at the very end they added "oh yes, you need us to do a special fire ceremony (homam) for you, to remove black magic". Even though they just said I have no such problem. So they contradict themselves, and clearly just use what you've said in an attempt to make money. And if you see the youtube videos, they say "oh you're so special, spiritual and blessed, this is your last life, you will get moksha after this incarnation". They say this to everyone! They also said it to me. They try to stroke your ego so you feel good and want to give them more money. Of course it doesn't make any logical sense that 90% of people getting nadi readings are in their last life. It's very rare that someone on this planet will move on to a higher world. These rare, few and select people, just happen to ALL get nadi readings? It's clearly BS. Dear Dao Bums, stay away from nadi reading. If you see it as a normal astrology reading, and get it at a fair rate, it's fine. However, if you pay a large amount hoping that nadi reading is a miracle, don't do it. It's just a trick!

Hey @EFreethought Yes, regarding SKY initiations and teachings, these are the steps : Steps for students: 1) Foundation (physical exercises, agnya chakra and muladhara chakra diksha), 2) Introspection 1 (sahasrara chakra diksha, analysis of thoughts, moralization of desires, neutralisation of anger, eradication of worries and self-inquiry "who am I?"), 3) Introspection 2 (initiations: dwadasangham, shakti kalam + shiva kalam. New meditations: panchendriya (5 senses), panchabhuta navagraha (5 elements and 9 planets meditation), lamp gazing. New introspection tool: "harmony in relationships" used for marriage, kids, parents, friends, coworkers etc), 4) Introspection 3 (initiation: all chakras. meditations: mirror gazing, nityananda (meditating on energy pervading the entire body). 5) Brahma Gyanam (God realization): relationship between living beings and planets explained (astrology), Divine state meditation, development and evolution of life forms, karma, meaning of life, why are there different religions. Steps for masters: 1) Arulnithyar (master's course): you learn how to teach kaya kalpa yoga, physical exercises, and give diksha for the agnya, muladhara and sahasrara chakra. 2) Assistant professor trainee: this is a repetition of all that you have learnt before, to ensure you've mastered both the philosophical and practical aspects of SKY 3) Assistant professor: here you learn how to give initiation into thuriyateetha, otherwise known as dwadasangham chakra (chakra 12 fingers above the head), shakti kalam (universal energy field) and shiva kalam (absolute space). 4) Professor trainee: you repeat everything you have learnt and demonstrate mastery of it 5) Professsor: you are taught the final initiation (how to open all chakras of someone) 6) Senior Professor trainee: repeat everything you've learnt 7) Senior Professor: you are taught how to make other people masters. Give SKY a go if you feel interested Yes, you learn everything quickly in SKY, you can become a Master in 6 months if you start today. However, these are the simply the tools. It takes consistent practice over a few years to truly master all exercises and meditations, and the longest to master is definitely introspection and harmony in relationships. This is continously ongoing as you go through your life, grow, learn, develop and face the challenges of everyday living (wife, life, work, money, sex, desires, coworkers etc). Refinement of character is a life long pursuit On top of that, each chakra has specific powers (siddhi), and there are also more advanced meditations in SKY, which you cannot learn officially, but only through befriending the old school masters. Examples of these meditations are direct meditation on the pineal gland, direct meditation on the pituitary gland, astral travel, developing clairvoyance, healing yourself and others, how to help the souls of loved ones pass over to the other side peacefully etc.

Here is his official information: https://www.vethathiri.edu.in/pages/a-n-g-balachandran?_pos=1&_sid=099a3f1e0&_ss=r The first number given is the one through which I call & text with him He is conducting the following courses in English you can join: https://www.vethathiri.edu.in/search?q=balachandran&options[prefix]=last I would suggest joining the foundation course online, then later you can start the introspection 1+2+3 online and after that even the highest course "Brahma Gyanam". As long as you're completing these online courses, you can at any appoint ask to approach them IRL and get the necessary chakra diksha. The foundation course gets you the right to get agnya chakra and muladhara chakra diksha. Introspection courses 1+2+3 gives you the right to sahasrara, dwadasangham, shakti kalam and shiva kalam diksha. Brahma Gyanam course gives you the right to full diksha (swadisthana, manipura, anahata, vishuddhi and Divine State). God bless you brother!

I received all my initations from Senior Professors Balachandran Ganesan and his wife Jayanthi. They live in Chennai, and go to Aliyar (where Vethathiri Maharishi's Temple of Consciousness as well as his samadhi is) once per year. Otherwise, they have for many years toured all over India (because they're fluent in both Hindi, Tamil and English). So you can visit them (whereever they are), or see when they're touring near you. I hope it brings you as many blessings as it brought me God bless you brother!

Hey guys, thanks for the shout out. It was Krish Murali Eswar's videos on SKY that actually brought me to SKY. I haven't met him in person, but have corresponded with him on mail and whatsapp several times. In my opinion, I think you should try and complete all of SKY: First initiation: agnya chakra and muladhara chakra, Second initiation: sahasrara chakra, Third initiation: dwadasangam chakra (12 fingers above the head) and Shakti Kalam (universal field) and Shiva Kalam (absolute space) + ghee lit clay lamp gazing/tratak, Fourth initation: swadisthana chakra, manipura chakra, anahata chakra, visuddhi chakra and darpan tratak / mirror gazing. You can get one initiation per month, so in very few months you can get all initations. Just make sure you meditate twice a day in between each initiation. If you complete this whole system, you will be very positively surprised. You will reach a level of energy and peace, plus meditation ability, which will open the spiritual world for you. As soon as you can actually meditate (dharana, dhyana, samadhi) you can do all meditations in the world and get their benefit. Whether it be yantras, star constellations, Gods/Godesses (devas/devis), elements, planets etc. SKY was the way for me to get there. Then you can experiment with prolonged meditation on each chakra (including the navel chakra, if you so wish) and get their benefits. For health, energy, longevity, peace, powers of each chakra etc. Any SKY master close to your area will work, as the power comes directly from Almighty God, through Vethathiri Maharishi, and then through the individual master. If you trust Krish Murali Eswar, go for it. If there's a SKY master near your area that you like, go for it. SKY changed my life forever, it opened the world of energy, meditation and the Divine for me. So I can highly recommend it Please check it out, and let me know how it goes God bless you!

Hey @EFreethought, I actually live in Europe I am still extremely skeptic about the whole thing, but it's something I've been curious about since I was a child (due to stories) so that's why I decided to give it a go. Either it will be "the bomb" and incredible, a big win for me, or if it's a fail and doesn't work, it will still be a win for me, because then I can finally put my curiosity to rest. The number 108 is holy in Hinduism and Buddhism as representing God, the Universe, Perfection etc. It's also revered in Daoism; in Daoism 6 in the greatest yin number, so 6x6=36 is also an ultimate yin number. 2x36=72 is also used, but 3x36=108, so 108 is important as a yin number and because 3 times symbolizes the trinity, so it's yin and trinity together, symbolizing the Universe. Therefore there are 108 beads on a mala (hindu/buddhist prayer beads), and the ancient southern indian maharishis also grouped people into 108 types of thumb print. As you know, modern criminal science uses fingerprints as reliable evidence, because all individuals have unique finger prints. The ancient rishis also recognized the utility of fingerprint, right thumb print for men, left thumb print for women, as indicating the type of person, their life trajectory, karma etc. So, to get a nadi reading, you send in your thumb print. They then match your thumb print with thumb prints in their libraries, and if you have a leaf, they'll find your leaf using your thumb print. Yes, I'm waiting one month so the readers in India will have time, a western "moderator" will have time (he helps in understanding the accent, as well as the concepts), and of course me. So 3 entities need to find a time. Then the reading is done over Zoom. So, as you can see, it's all hear-say and stories so far, I will have to wait until March, then I can finally put it all to the test and I will of course write my experience here on DaoBums with you guys. God bless you

The Muslim Ritual Prayer (as-salah / namaz)
Nuralshamal replied to Nuralshamal's topic in General Discussion
I'm quite sure that the prophet had knowledge of energy: how to build it up, how to use it, and how to transfer it. There are 2 hadith stories I heard when attending a sufi dhikr circle in the beginning of 2022. 1) a companion got a doubt about something, and instead of explainin the doubt away, the prophet simply put his hand on his chest. Then he transferred energy. Then the doubt in the heart of the companion went away. 2) there was an older companion living in another village than the prophet. When visiting the prophet, he complained that his memory was starting to fail him. He sometimes couldn't remember which daily things was sunnah, and which ones was from the old pagan beliefs. Instead of giving him verbal advice, the prophet took a cloth for the head, recited and blew on it, and gifted it to the old companion. Whenever he had a doubt, he simply but on the headcloth, and he would in a crystal clear way be able to remember everything the prophet had ever taught him. The first instance is a direct transfer of energy through touch from person to person (sparsa diksha in sanskrit), the other is empowering of an item with energy. Salah, dhikr and eating and living halal and sunnah is the prescribed way to build the energy stronger each day. When standing, the blood floods the legs and feet, the lower part of the body. When prostrating, the blood floods the brain, the top part of the body. When kneeling the blood is circulating in the inner organs in the middle part of the body. That's at the physical level. Qi and blood are extremely connected: qi guides the blood, blood nourishes and builds the qi. Qi is the commander of blood, blood is the mother of qi. So by circulating the blood using the body, you're also circulating the energy. By building the body, you're also building the energy. At the energetic level, I'm sure with correct guidance, intention and visualisation during salah, the energy will also build in the different energy centers. I would say that the specialty of qigong is the body, the specialty of islamic cultivation is the heart, and the specialty of hinduism and buddhism is the mind. All paths contain all elements, however, for me personally, that's what my experience has been with different systems. Each is specialized in a particular area. All paths hint at energy cultivation: hindus and buddhists put a dot on the third eye, Christians touch the third eye as well as different points of the heart center when doing the cross on themselves, Muslims touch the navel during qiyaam and the third eye during sujood. If we isolate the energy cultivation component of each path, we can see some of these very interesting similarities. To conclude this post: transmission from an authentic teacher is the king component of cultivation, the one piece of every system that ensures the quickest, easiest and safest path to succes with that tradition. -
Assalaamu aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu (May the Peace, Blessings and Mercy of Almighty God be upon you) In this post I will go over and compare the muslim ritual prayer with yoga, qigong and meditation. I will explain some of the "hidden gems" I myself have discovered with this practice. The prayer has two parts: 1) Ritual Purification (wudhu) 2) The actual prayer itself. 1) Ritual Purification (wudhu) You wash your hands, mouth, nose, face, arms, head, ears and feet. You say mantras when starting, and you say a prayer when finishing. This hold some similarities to practices in yoga and qigong as well. Yoga: 1) washing your nose is similar to the neti of the shatkarmas (six cleansing actions) 2) how you say mantras on different parts of your body is similar to kavach and nyasas (where you install protective energies in your field) 3) the idea of purification before practice is completely the same for hindu rituals and meditation Qigong: 1) Using your body while employing mantras is also done in qigong, 2) Purification is also very important in qigong, 3) Massaging your ears is a mainstay of daoist longevity practices, this is also done daily for the muslim prayer 2) The Prayer Itself (as-salah / namaz) The prayer is completely similar to yoga and qigong in the sense that you employ your body, breath (mantras) and mind together. During the prayer you switch between different positions: 1) Standing (takbir & qiyam) 2) Bent over (ruku) 3) Prostrating (sujood) 4) Kneeling (jalsah) There is stretching as well as strengthening going on when going between the movements (just like yoga & qigong exercises). There are mantras uttered at different points during the prayer (just like yoga & qigong exercises). That's how the physical body as well as the breath is employed (the postures and mantras mentioned above). However, what do to with the mind? In yoga you visualise the deities (images, idols or yantras) and/or masters during your meditation to connect with their energy. In qigong you visualise stars, planets, things from nature, animals, masters, colors, the organs, talismans etc to connect with their energy. Here are my own personal top 4 visualisations for the muslim prayer: 1) Visualise you're in Mekka and praying before the Ka'aba All muslims across planet Earth pray facing the Ka'aba each day. It's already a special energy point of planet earth's meridians. Just like human beings have meridians with energy points along them, so too does the planet have special energy lines with special points along them. The well of Zamzam is only 20m east of the Ka'aba, springing from an underground source. The whole area is an energy point, that's why they placed the Ka'aba there. When all muslims pray towards this point, this point stores their energy. It's already a high energy point to begin with. When everyone prays towards it, the shared energy container is redistributed among the faithful. So, by visualising the Ka'aba, you're connecting to a bigger, powerful storage point of energy, which will over time increase your own energy. The word "Ka'aba" is actually in the feminine form in arabic. Feminine simply means receptive, it receives energy from the universe, from the ground, as well as the faithful. I chose the above picture of the Ka'aba because there are two veiled women there as well. The veil over the women and the Ka'aba symbolizes the special protection the feminine enjoys, provided by the masculine (masculine meaning active). When we're well protected, we feel safe, we feel peaceful, and we feel intimate with whoever we're with. It's the same feeling you get in a tent in the desert, or a yurt in the grasslands. You feel intimate with whoever you're with. This energy of peace, protection and intimacy will come over you again and again, until your own soul produces the same type of energy. Then you will feel peaceful, protected and intimately connected to the Divine all throughout your daily life. 2) Visualise you're in Medina and praying close to the Masjid an-Nabawi This masjid was built by the Prophet himself, it was the site of A'isha's house, and now it holds the tomb of the Prophet himself. By visualising this green dome, you will be able to connect directly to the energy of the Prophet. You will be blessed with his tender love, compassion and humanity. Your heart will be softened and opened. You'll feel tender love for all of creation. 3) visualise you're standing before the throne of Almighty God, ranked by thousands of powerful angels Imagine God is watching you. Then perform your prayers. 4) Imagine it's your last prayer, the angel of death is behind you, it's your last opportunity to get right with God before your judgement Conclusion: As you can see, the muslim ritual prayer has many things in common with yoga, qigong and meditation. It uses the body, breath and mind to cultivate energy and connect with the Divine.

My experience with Simplified Kundalini Yoga (SKY) by Vethathiri Maharishi
Nuralshamal replied to Nuralshamal's topic in Hindu Discussion
Yes, I've heard a lot about Shivabala yogi. I depends on your vasanas and samskaras from your past life. For some it will happen within weeks, for others it will take years. However, what I can recommend is getting your agna chakra empowered routinely by a master. This greatly speeds up the process. The students I've taught get an empowerment every single time they come for meditation (I transfer energy to their chakra of meditation, e.g. agnya, muladhara or sahasrara , depending on how far along they are). This is how the SKY system does it. The reason I've heard about Shivabala Yogi is because Steven Sai Sadleir (who's also a SKY master) learnt from both Shiva Bala Yogi, Vethathiri Maharishi and a kriya yoga guru. You can also see some of his videos if you wish, where he talks about what he learnt from each, his experiences with the sadhana and tapas they gave him etc. I just went through the meditation page on the two weblinks you gave me, and I have a question for you: 1) Have you received a diksha/initiation by a living, physical guru physically touching your agnya chakra? If yes, simply keep meditating and get empowerment routinely, it's a matter of time. If no, I highly suggest getting an initation from an authentic guru. The guru provides the kick-start, without this kick-start, it could take much, much longer to see results. My second question: 2) How long have you been meditating daily, and how much time do you meditate daily? (e.g. 1 year, 20 minutes per day, or 3 months 30 minutes per day etc) If you answer these questions, I can more easily help you along and give better guidance Be blessed by the Divine!
