Regards my own experiences....id rather not elaborate Some of the stuff in the early stages is learn how to work with qi, build the lower dan tien, open the body according to the Yijinjing...thats about as much as Im willing to say...A quick skim of his book would be appropriate...alchemy comes a little bit later What is the result after 20 years? the results would depend on your input I imagine...a dedicated practitioner....Im sure this stuff would take you pretty far

Damos methods are extremely potent, Neigong increases the good and the bad....it is not something one should be doing if they have problems with health, be it physical or mental....those should be sorted first It is different from what is routinely taught in the public domain...but the effects are objective and I've not really seen anyone unhappy with what he teaches...but its hard work and takes time....theres no magic pill I've had some really powerful experiences with it.....I would highly recommend him to anyone.....Look forward to meeting him once this whole covid19 situation dies off

In addition to practical instruction...Damo often lectures around topics at length, and it's because of that most of his students understand the mechanics of the processes to a very high degree..both theoretically and experientially 2. He is absolutely credible....His methods are Quanzhen/Longmen as posted on his website....he teaches the foundational methods needed to get everything going which I know a few other Longmen teachers do not teach....any practice is almost pointless without strong foundations....a hard reality to accept for many....but one better accepted early on 3. His information is sound....you need not worry about that

Have you ever taken one of Damo's courses? He explains things in a manner and depth unlike anyone I have ever witnessed...the depth at which he is able to speak on topics usually summarized or not explained by other teachers (many of which simply dont know) You'd be extremely hard pressed to find anyone who can discuss these things at such lengths

Its pretty much accepted that you cannot progress through the alchemical process properly without prior neigong training Of course the term neigong means many things...it can refer to IMA, or it can refer to the process of change preceding alchemical work In this case I'm making reference to the latter This makes sense, and I had assumed as such...Now you may correct me if im wrong, but the mental work required for alchemical transformation is leaps and bounds ahead of what's required for neigong( which from what Im told is little)

What im finding hard to discern is whether you are referencing neigong or neidan Neigong, yes I see the parallels to what you are saying....but not as much for neidan, not as I understand it at least. In the system I study...alchemy is quite a bit more nuanced than standing, sink the qi, consolidate the mind and refine the field....this sounds like specific parts of neigong? ...Alchemy is a lot of seated work in what I do at least For example when forming the elixir....if one of the "ingredients" is not correctly prepared....it can cause very serious health problems... it is not related to neigong per se Of course I understand different systems have different mechanisms and ways of achieving certain things...but I can only speak for what I am familiar with

If we are to get very semantic....We could say the xiatian (lower field) is not a dan tien (elixir field) per se...the Dan needs to be created, its the xiatian that needs consolidation ...but I think we are both talking about the xiatian in this case? Who believes the field needs to be created? I've not heard that before

Im referring to the notion that the body has layers, and for beginners, stretching everything open (physically) is important. From what I gather, the physical opening is the beginning stages...the rest comes later... Who ever said the dantien needed to be "created" ? There's a massive difference between creation, and consolidation

I think freeform elaborated on the why regards the dantien, but in any event, a physical stretch is a good thing for beginners....the toes you refer to for example, are key in physically stretching open another point im sure you know Most people are extremely tight and can certainly do with the tension...Id hazard a guess you are familiar with the drumskin concept

Standing on the balls of the feet isnt really the point...it is more to redistribute the weight to spread the tarsal bones wider. A 2:1 or so ratio of weight isnt so much a calf raise as an adjustment...certainly nothing like a ballerina
