Thats not a very convienent point when trying to convince people that everything is public
-
IWhat I can say is, theres links from Europe if you know where to look Yes, in all variants (Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana) Depends on the variant For Theravada it would be place like Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar
-
One thats not public Which seems to greatly bother a certain cohort of people who like to tell themselves everything is Eh, whatever helps them sleep easier at night
-
Secret? That depends. Ive seen some of the details mentioned, but not that specific physiological transformation Its pretty objective though, so I dont think someone touches that state without some level of transformation, even if it is not stable at first
-
The answer is often a jagged pill people refuse to swallow Orthodoxy and politics have basically buried the original teachings. It not something thats unique to Buddhism, but it is the one people are in the most denial about for sure.
-
I never asked you to disclose a method. That would be irresponsible to be honest. Do you think the transformation im talking about is a secret or something?
-
Hey! Ontday entionmay ethay Abhidhammayay !
-
Really? I'm disappointed TT Aside from your witty remarks (which I enjoy) this is becoming another go to move of yours Its a shame, here I was going on your earlier comment Seems to me, when asked about the things that aren't written in books, you arent nearly as chatty as you stated above
-
One thats not suited for discussion on a public forum im afraid Though i would be obliged to tell you, if you are looking for "scholarly" or "orthodox" sources discussing these things to the depth im talking about. You'll be searching for a very, very long time, and at best come up with fragments Mahayana/Theravada/Vajrayana all have these methods, they just are not public. They are quite dangerous, and often echo the "Ming" practices you hear mentioned in alchemical daoism In my opinion certain practies are even more dangerous that the Daoist variants, because some of the earlier ones work faster, thus the potential for error is greater
-
It isnt. Its a modern misrepresentation of one method from the original system that the buddha used though. The orginal practices were tantric/alchemical, similar to neidan, with some other stuff too
-
Oh no, thats a different thing (The Strike of Ling and Beyond) Although, just so we are clear (posting the simple summary for non science folk, but the article also linked https://www.theguardian.com/science/blog/2009/jul/17/human-bioluminescence https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2707605/ So well, humans emitting light is not made up at all. Its actually a fact. Common sense would tell you, a supposed practitioner that qigong, neigong, neidan, and other forms of alchemy all have different levels of efficacy In true systems, the body is taken beyond well beyond its "normal" capacity. Indeed the metabolic system goes through transformations at the cellular level even You just havent encountered anyone whos developed this im afraid. So that process is not within your domain of experience, and thats totally fine. Now getting back to the other matter The "empty room makes white" or whatever term you want to use, thats another thing that comes with its own set of changes So, im ready to hear all about it Tell me about the changes that occur physiologically, please
-
You may wish to read what I posted earlier about public information. The point stands I've already spoken about how im unwilling to talk about things related to the MCO on the forum You are welcome to send me a PM if you like
-
Does this person have a name? What does this all have to do with Damo? Ive already mentioned, he teaches the alchemical MCO I understand what you are talking about
-
Well things are unusually linear from where I sit, but, theres always room for something to change Speaking of practice Heres one of the practices said individual espouses and indeed recommended to another member on here https://www.globalqiproject.com/eight-extraordinary-meridians-training-program/ @Forestgreen, im curious. Where do you think something like that would lead one exactly??
-
He didnt mention what he was doing only that it went wrong. I can tell you from my own experience that when it does go wrong, and it can do, especially in my case whilst my teacher was on retreat (not Damo) It was not fun. Two weeks of absolute hell If I recall there was a raft of neidan phenomena that I tried discussing with you, only to realize you werent willing to get into it Are we ready to talk about the physiological changes from the "empty room makes white" yet my friend?
-
Actually, I corrected you, because you deliberately omitted the fact that a few sentances away from the quote you posted, it was mentioned exactly where the practices come from Ill await your rationale for a lack of secrecy around practices and methods that could do serious harm to someone if caution is not given. As @freeformmentioned, he was bleeding from every orifice in his head, when he made a slight error. I found myself in an extremly bad position also. Both were slight errors (that could happen to even the most careful people) Then again https://www.globalqiproject.com/eight-extraordinary-meridians-training-program/ When material like this is your reference point , I understand why you may not grasp what needs to be kept within a given school and what doesnt
-
This is not a good translation Like I said, the MCO is off limits for discussion from my side. Its not a part of my other practice, and im not crossing any lines Only to say that what you mentioned about using a feeling of qi. Not only is that not something ive not practiced, ive never even heard of it. Sounds like some made up imaginary nonsense
-
What he teaches in public is not hidden behind some veil. You are presenting it as though he is hiding his history as per the quote you cherry picked Everyone who would begin studying with him would be told quite clearly where it comes from. Its on the public site for all to see The methods and practices are of course not discussed openly outside of the school Thats nothing unique to Damo. All systems with degree of real potency would not be out there for just anyone Neigong and Neidan are no joke. Even the most experienced people can harm or even kill themeslves without the right kind of supervision and oversight Exhibit A Exhibit B I too recently had a serious issue arise. Ill omit the details but I spent two weeks in a very, very bad situation, because of a simple mistake I personally made. The more qi, the more danger involved If something works, there is always risk, and for that reason, the stronger the method and practice gets, the more secretive it needs to be. This is amongst other things, for safety purposes Unless of course you think we should be sharing things like that openly for everyone with no evaluation? My gut tells me you've not been around practices that tend to generate a lot of qi if thats the case Explained above Also, im one of the ones who will talk up to a line I can. I have two overalapping systems, so im able to say some things others might not be able to, without crossing any lines I just dont get into methods/practices for the reasons outlined above. Its not a personal attack. You are being dishonest here. Whether its you being unaware or deliberately misleading, who knows. But thats the reality You quite clearly seen Quanzhen Longmen Pa (Dragon Gate) i mentioned. And his teacher whom he was taught the methods from is named
-
Actually thats not true. He is very clear what he teaches is from Quanzhen Longmen Pai. The teacher the public methods come from is even named on the site also Its been public for several years. Theres no problem with Damo or what he teaches at all in fact. Its pretty straightforward and nothing is "secret". Why you feel the need to decieve others and yourself, is beyond me
-
He teaches both You do know its ok to do both right? Its not an either/or
-
Definately not what he taught me, and Im very aware of the difference between the two I wont be discussing it in public im afraid . So I apologize, but the conversation on MCO related things ends here from me I wasnt referring to it for purposes of the MCO at all. I was actually referring to the relationship betwene the Po, Jing, Ming, the sense faculties, the five elements in neidan and how they all tie into PratÄ«tyasamutpÄda. And its not discussed in there. But I know @Forestgreen , I was just pointing out something that I know he would have the discernment to pick up on by cross referencing
-
Poetic language normally just designed to augment in person teaching, specifically related to confirmatory signs If someone wanted to get a read into this, id look at damos white moon and large neigong book and go through it with a highlighter Once read you could compare them with the 12 links and understand a few of the energetic mechanics associated with the way they go from on to the next (either backward or forward Thats about what I can say without deliving into oral teachings
-
Im just curious why you think he does it to himself? Is if from showing it in public? I guess im lucky that two systems crossover so theres convergence points. But generally speaking I work it in cycles This is interesting. Because natural is a curious term Id personally argue the upper stages of neigong and neidan are an un-natural development of the subtle. By this I mean pushing beyond what is considered normal and even optimal I've only met a handful of Daoist lineages that have proper methods for building qi. If its ever been the case that some people had a lopsided practice, it wasnt because of the teacher or the system, it was they chose to ignore the mental work Ive personally seen that time and time again, but Id think it a limitation of the people themselves I think a study of the Po might be important in aiding ones understanding of dependant origination to be perfectly honest About the Yijinjing? Yes, but i am very limited in what Im willing to say They may have the methods that can help build qi, however they dont quite grasp how they are generating it, nor the implications of doing so karmically speaking. They also use combinations of external substances, or means which can create some of the effects, but the impact is only further heightened They dont understand the causal effects of it, to make a long story short You often find these people either in poor health, of poor ethics or lacking morals. As you rightly mentioned, more layers of the acquired mind However, that which can organize and build layers , can also reorganize and undo them, so theres an energetic mechanic here...
-
Im wondering how many people here have even had an extended conversation with Beth I have, and theres no doubt in my mind about her Shes not only one of the good ones. Shes one of a very select few that actually got attainments that are of objectice significance during her training. For those who have developed the right perception its as plain as a smack in the face. For those who dont..well, I need say no more. Its blatantly clear Ironically, she spent most of day away from the monastery, away from their rituals and routines(a little hint for the perceptive) , and has a very good relationship with Pau Auk himself
-
Perhaps you should if you think its all leverage? I prefer Mark personally (Dwai seems to share that endorsement) But also Mark speaks quite highly of Adams technical skill. Im not sure its a "non qi" demonstration either to be honest. As far as i have it, Adam is rather reserved on camera He normally laughts it off To what extent? I cant say I agree it'll sort itself out, though I undestand how one could arrive there. I dont think thats an issue in daoist practice at all. More often than not ive seen it as an issue in lineages where an increase in juice, usually with pills or a teachers help, without the required mental development is the case. Thats not daoist necessarily Ive seen it more in buddhist lineages actually, ones with some Yijinjing methods, but only a partial understanding of the principle Do you undestand the mechanic here? How the Po is involved etc? Im talking about this
