  1. Just on these two points If you look above, at the previous thing I posted, the lay person explanation would be that the focal point of conciousness shifts from the physical body to the energetic body That is why the sensation of piti is mentioned, because the sensation of piti is in the energy body The bridge between the physical and energetic bodies = breath, hence one of the reasons why anapanasiti is usually what they use in Buddhism However the reason why tantric paths see more success, for laypeople, is they build the energetic substance in the energy body up to such a degree and density that it is far easier for the focal point of awareness to switch to the energetic body and use that as the object of absporption If you could imagine that thing people use when doing an eye test, where they read the lines of letters. Concentration alone would be like training to read the botton small line, whereas concentration plus eneregetic building - that would be making the letters bigger until they read like the top line I hope that makes sense, its a rather unusual way of putting it. There are actually objective signs you've managed to enter first jhana, though Im not sure how public they are, so maybe its better not to get into those
  2. Yi Jin Jing/ Tendon-Muscle Strengthening Exercises

I have never heard of this. All of my YJJ teachings are not based on sets, they are based on how it works in theory. The principals are then applied to whatever is done, be it sitting, standing or moving practice If you find me a video, I might be able to dissect it, though from what it sounds like, its pulling open the ribs, arms, intercostals etc
  3. The only person ive ever seen discuss Jhana as it was explained to me @freeform, who literally described it identically Let me see if I can dig it up Being around these kinds of people, who have stabilized these states, is surreal beyond words. If they can reach the formless jhanas and stabillize it, reality and causaility itself completely breaks down around them Even at he earlier stages, emitting light visible to the naked eye would be expected This would be considered rather odd, however, once you consider it alongside attainments like rainbow body etc, its not at all suprising really
  4. Yi Jin Jing/ Tendon-Muscle Strengthening Exercises

How the movement is done tends to generally matter more than what the movement actually is regards YJJ. Any video of this one? Key here being to relax the large muscles and stress the fascia in all movements For example, when moving up and down in the kua, you move up from the baihui dragging everything else up which opens the spine and you feel the resistance, its like pulling elastic Coming down, you pin the occiput, and let the tailbone sink which pulls the spine open downwards, and will have you sit into the kua properly, your tailbone will slightly tuck under when you release the mingmen and your knees will slightly bend themselves as the sit bones are stressed that will pull another layer of fascia Scapula need to be in the right position also You can kind of see the a fascia areas here in white (mingmen is whats circled) Over time you can create some very unusual forces inside that inflate and move the extremities themselves
  5. True Wisdom is also a siddhi of sorts Thats something thats been proven to be abundantly clear to me
  6. Yes, i did use that term generally for a reason If you are aware of the components (or functions) of the soul then when you think about the Hun/Po of Daoism, you might not be surprised to know that certain types of death can mess up the standard sequence of events (suicidefor example) Theres another thing too, where they can "borrow" from you as a means to manifest to a degree. This is what has happened to me
  7. Im a researcher by training, so yes it is. Yes. Death is just a transition, as is birth, this cycles over and over again Unfortunately, I dont think I could detail this without giving up my anonymity, so ill have to decline to comment Except to say, as of now, my senses in a way are tuned to a bandwith slightly above normal, (ie clairvoyance, claraudience and clarsentience). Some of that was training, but as far as im told , all of my teachers, agreed there was latent ability there, so all it took was a little push in the right direction Technically if they hang around it isnt "this realm" But for the normal folk, without training theres no real way to know Im afraid, unless one of them is hanging around as a ghost and you're in a situation where you get a glimpse or some contact Generally speaking, we arent exactly aware of them, and as for ghosts, they arent normally aware of us either. This is why you seen them obliviously repeating the same things over and over like a video clip on loop However, once opened up to them, they tend to be like flies. Its almost like lighting a candle in the dark For normal folk, there really isnt much you could do to discern that It is possible to have communication during the tranisition to sleep or during sleep, due what takes place mechanically. But the subtle nuances regards whether this is a dream, or an actual experience of contact are almost impossible to discern for people without a lot of training It is, there is an aspect of the soul thats known as Shuang Ling in Daoism. This is part of the soul that contains collective conciousness, so tapping into this would basically make someone omniscient But its beyond the reach of al but the masters Theres another methods Buddhists use too, but thats not entirely something ive delved into much Hope that helps
  8. Haha it all sounds similar what I went through in the same manner of repeatedly trying to dismiss it I guess when things are meant to happen, certain forces dont take no for an answer
  9. Im afraid that would be a long discussion. But it would all revolve around like causality, reincarnation, life, death, transmigration, ghosts, the various bodies of man, and how they relate to this, the process of death etc, past (and future lives), soul, spirit etc etc I would be here for a long time listing it all If there is something specific you'd like to ask me, feel free and if its something im at liberty to share, Ill do my best
  10. Believe it or not, this is the reason i got into the arts in the first place. I lost someone I cared around a decade ago This is the area I invest most of my time in. Never in my wildest dreams did I anticipate some of the things that followed. But im eternally grateful that ive had almost all of my burning questions answered already When I say im speaking from experience, on this topic, specifically,. Im certainly not kidding around
  11. If you got rid of all the layers, you wouldnt be coming back my friend Generally speaking, you get about as far as where the karmic "seeds" tend to reside. Theres a set of causal conditions that reside there that set you on the way for what comes next If one was to stabilize, "attain" and work at this level while still alive. Transmigration would take a very different path
  12. Not that I know of tbh. To the best of my knowledge it came from India and mixed with the regional variations in TIbet. Perhaps one of the others on the board know Its not my strong point tbh. Im more on the side of other Buddhist traditions
  13. Various layers of the subtle bodies break down during the dying process until it reaches the place that the deepest karmic dispositions that dictate the next incarnations reside, and then, back into the next one usually Think of it like stripping layers off of an onion, then putting new ones back
  14. It was my understanding that, in the mystery schools of old, this was not an enactment, it was an induced experience Sound correct? This is true in my understanding Which quote exactly?
  15. I have teachers from separate places that quote the same figure, despite being completely different traditions 2 different Buddhist / Daoist lineages Also whomever is a vajrayana buddhist and told you that is misunderstood. 16. They are fine, theyve done this before (over and over) So have you. For you own sake, stop worrying about that aspect of it In fact, if its been 100 days, they have normally already returned, it only takes half that time. Its only in exceptional circumstances something else occurs (for example a suicide, or certain types of a miserable life) I speak from experience on this matter Your loved one is ok
  17. Help with Zi Fa Gong

Just some questions, about the master and meetings #1 What corner of the cosmos were you travelling in your secret vehicle when you met this master.? #2 How fast were the teleportations there and back? #3 Was it a human master? or one of those creatures you met when "searching for other planets"
  18. Help with Zi Fa Gong

Im tied up at the moment but wanted to take a moment to comment on this because honestly, the amount of confused information posted here is very troubling, For a start, the zifagong is just energy moving and hitting the blockages. The combination of circle walking and standing practice would initiate this. Bagua/ZZ moves qi when done correctly. Theres a more esoteric component to it also that im not going to get into. But zifagong is a process any authentic system should have you work through, its the body working its way through the blockages The alternative to this is pills and transmissions, but the problem with that is you develop little internal skill, instead you just end up depending on teachers and substances. Common enough, but not really a path one wants to walk Conclusion - Stop worrying about it, and stop giving it mental fuel. You are actually making it worse by doing this Blockages occur at various levels (physical, energetic, mental) etc and usually they interlink. For example, a back injury would cause the corresponding tissues, nerves, fascia and capillaries/veins/arteries etc to become tighter and bundle up, creating stagnation, which translates up into the energy body, and then penetrates the mental sphere. Likewise the reverse is also true (im sure you've felt your chest bundle up when anxious, or noticed the postural difference of a depressed person). Over time, this mental pattern becomes "imprinted" onto the physical body via that same energetic transfer outlined above, and distorts the physical structure of it The pelvic floor issues are usually related to the kidney system (and jing)/Also, your post is indicative of someone that seems to be in a very anxious state. You would do well to relax, open your body, eat some red meat and stewed, dark foods and take it easy on the mental activity Something that would be useful for you to do is spend more time opening and stretching your body, create space and then worry about ZZ and bagua later Take a bit of time off and just focus on creating space, especially in the kua/spine and working through the physical body only with opening and stretching (the right way) If your teacher has proper internals, they should have shown you how already, but ask them again if not. Get some tui na and acupuncutre also, that will futher aid you in fixing the issue (and stop worrying about your jaw, its fine) Hopefully this helps @Sahajaalready pointed this out but it bears repeating. If you're going to ask questions about the practices, better to ask one whos spent a few years working with the material, rather than external observers, dabblers etc Ive had some of the developments you read about in the classics, and ive had a few of them confirmed by others with no association to Damo or in some cases, even no association to the Longmen Pai at all. Ive also had some strange things arise that definately defy all manner of materialism, and have extended to other people as well, which of course means they too have a direct experience of said developments, rather than just me. These arent up for discussion im afraid, but ive no reason to lie about this Whilst those practice have, as of late been an adjunct for me, there is no denying the potency of it. So, as regards the efficacy of what is taught, thats simply not debatable. Admittedly, I'm pretty much at at the end of my run with it now, and soon moving on to other things, so ive no incentive or association to promote the school, but the bashing is, as usual, strong here, so I felt a bit of informed honesty based on actual experience is needed Thats all im going to say on the topic, so take from it what you will PS (To anyone awaiting a PM, I will be back at a later date, im just tied up right now, and only wanted to comment here as it relates to health) Best wishes
  19. Grounded = More Qi?

Ireland/UK The issue for me isnt your grammar, its the long posts interspersed with opinions and a prompt for a reply. Im not quite sure whether you are seeking validation or explanation In any case, for me, itd be best to just ask the question directly, and preferaly one at a time
  20. Grounded = More Qi?

My opinion on "grounding" is completely at odds with everything written in this thread It is not related to connecting to the earth, nor is it a psychological thing It is related to the stilling and consolidation of Jing
  21. Grounded = More Qi?

I mean this with the utmost respect, honestly But, unless its in relation to something ive already posted, id prefer if you didnt keep tagging me I find that the way you write posts is very confusing and im not exactly sure what it is you are looking for
  22. To Chi Or Not To Chi??

Depends on the school As above Theres too much to detail here One example would be the ability to hold a strenous posture comfortably and be at ease while doing it for around 4 hours without stopping Another might be something like putting you in a specific scenario to check how you react (a test of certain mental qualities) Much of the time you'd not even be aware you're being tested, which makes it trickier because you cannot just grunt your way through things, it means that you must always be living in this state alwayys Id rather not get into it beyond that , as it is a long discussion, but that might give you an idea
  23. Grounded = More Qi?

Of course, then you go on an essay long rant of advice thats not only hypocritical and runs counter the very first thing you said It is also riddled with mistruths Its not absurd at all, Yogis have been sitting on animal skins since day 1 during practice for good reason You just seem to lack an understanding of how Yang Qi is generated. The last time you and that other person you call a partner were asked to explain the mechanics, you both avoided the converstation, after already having ducked another conversation about astral projection To clarify I have plenty of practices that work with the enviornment and field of the earth Amongst them Practice with trees Practice with Water Practice on Dragon Lines Practice in graveyards The difference is , I understand the mechanics at play. So i know what to do, how to do it, and when and where to do it What I said was its impossible to generate meaningful amounts of qi using visualization I believe freeform said the same thing, but you can ask him. Heres what he said below I actually was taught a practice that uses visualization, most likely the same thing he's referring to, But I never use it because I have a far more potent alchemical method, that does the same thing a lot better Feel free to open a thread and debate that if you like, rather than derail this one with your regularly scheduled off-topic diatribes. Lie #2 Nowhere has either of us told anyone to ingest mecury What I said is it is used in various ways in real alchemical practice by certain lineages in closed door, NON PUBLIC scenarios Lineages like these Of course, not having access to any of these lines, you are unaware of such things, and like many other situations, Im willing to forgive your lack of exposure and knowledge of these matters Yes, all spiritual practices tend to have periods like this where food is either limited, abstained from or turned away from Thats common knowledge Well we at least we got one honest point from you, thats a start
  24. To Chi Or Not To Chi??

My younger self wouldnt be interested in all this to be perfectly honest. Xing and Ming and Niegong. Hardly Id have tried to convince myself to take up Bagua, as it has martial application, but there is also a Neigong and energetic component, and it can take one well into the Yijinjing process with the right extra ingredients
  25. To Chi Or Not To Chi??

There was nothing subjective about it. The most pronounced thing I did was about as subjective as a punch in the back of the head Its a well known skill in neigong schools. At least one other person I know on this board has a different lineage, a buddhist one that also develops this You may wish to believe otherwise, and thats fine. I really dont mind Electric Qi is not the point at all. A deplorable human can do that You're missing the point here Those were @freeform words, and I concur Success in the Ming and Xing dominant lines are outside the reach of all but the gifted The Ming dominant lines are too dangerous. A mistake could kill you at the worst. It could also corrupt your nature beyond belief. Ive seen this happen personally and know one now deceased teacher who fell victim to it. The Xing dominant lines are more complex. The reason has to do with the epoch of time, and the size of the chasm between form and formless. Basically its beyond the reach of all but the karmically inclined. The same reason that all but a few are olympic level athletes Curiously, you'll notice no such comment was made about the dual cultivation of Xing and Ming together You know, the one freeform kept recommending, The one I too keep recommending This is what closes the width of the chasm, and builds the bridge between form and formless at the same time, making it the best chance anyone has at real success
