Today(actually a few minutes ago) I was aimlessly walking arou d while letting my mind wander as well towards whatever direction it wanted to go, when suddenly I started to feel a "bubbling" of sorts coming from inside out, and then I started to feel very energized all of sudden. I started to visualize myself surrounded by an energy/the colors orange(majority), red and white with some specks of black(I think). I felt a combination of being electrified and under a waterfall(or a potent showerhead), that constant pressure. I also visualized a translucent glowy orange-ish lotus opening up above my head. I apologize for this rant-style writing but I need to write it all out before my memory starts playing tricks on me. What I want to know is if there is any meaning of the orange, red, white and black colors when it comes to energy and what is that meaning. And yes, I am being truthful, I have nothing to gain by lieing/lying(?). I just want to know the meaning of the colors.

Well from what I can remember: Orange:Was a very vivid and clear color, somewhere between light orange and medium orange, it was glowing a bit(in a bioluminescent way, like those life forms in a certain beach that glow blue when there is movement, or like magma I guess). It was in no way muted, and it was really strong. It was everywhere and there were some thin streaks of light vivid orange amongst it, but not as much as the main orange. Red:Somewhere between light and medium red, clear and vivid like the orange one.The kind of color you would expect to see out of the reddest ruby.It was "held" by the white+black color as if to not let the red mix with the orange while still "being part of it all" White: a bit muted but also "glowing", not as clear, mixed with small blurry specks of clear black I don't know if this helps. As for the question I did I am not looking for a specific system or anything, at this point I think it would be fine to see what everyone from any system might say and maybe I'll make my own judgement after thinking.

Is it possible to not fear death, and yet not want to die?
Shadao posted a topic in General Discussion
I ask because I sometimes think of this, of my death(no, I am not depressive or anything, I am just really thinking of it from a logical perspective: that until someone figures out a way to be immortal physically, we all will die one day) and I tend to try to see "Death" not as this "end of all" nor as "something to be feared". Yeah, the uncertainty of the unknown is scary, and no way in hell I want to suffer in any way before and/or during my physical death, but I think I learned to develop a mindset of not fearing death itself. It kinda helps when you start to question reality, existence and consciousness and the lack of it all. Still, is it possible to not fear death, and yet have a desire to not die? I think the truly worst of death is that once your body dies, all possibilities of things you could do or be are just gone. Sure you can "re-start" with a new life, but it is so wasteful to die young... -
Yes, I know that.Just wanted to mention that "because I don't want to" is also a valid choice, that not every denial has to have a reasonable and/or even "explainable" reason. I disagree(with the first part), as I have seen again and again(in my own country) how greed has made many "forget" their jobs, their responsabilities or even their basic decency and go after more than they need(and more that they should get)...all because they see money as more important than anything else. As for the second part, yeah.Of course this can also apply to Asians too, but here I was talking specifically of westerners, not...easterners?... But I get what you mean.

Honestly I'm of the mind that no one needs to have an explanation of "why" for something like this, it can be as simple as just they "not wanting to teach, and that's it". Because sometimes that is a valid answer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Money trumps honor in the view of most westerners, but there are the exceptions. Isn't this how it tends to go with practically every other martial arts/system/belief/etc? The promises of being able to surpass their peers through the help of the supernatural/paranormal, that is quite the old tale.

Now that's very convenient in my opinion(I mean, I still am of the mind of one person being able to have many names(or changing names through their life, if deemed appropriate by them), same way as they have many "labels", but being known as "JustOne" seems simple...I like simple). Sometimes I think people get too fixated into names, as if they were more akin to titles rather than just as a means for others to be able to differentiate one from the rest when speaking to/of them.

Ah, so it's like a day in school.

Why this "skipping" of theirs?Isn't it a known maxim that you should always learn the basics first?

Same. The first time I found these books I thought "Wow, these are some deep thoughts and words for a RPG game" and also "This type of rich backstory is something that I wished I could find in most RPG videogames".A pity that so far the companies making videogames of these books seem to mostly not get it right(be it the mood, the mechanics or the story). I have known of them for a while(8 years?), but only somewhat recently(5 years?) that I was able to get some of the books.I believe I don't have all, but I do know that at least I have "the basics" and some complements. To be fair though, never played any of them but do enjoy reading them alot, specially ones like Mage, Promethean and Second Sight.

Real Magic by Isaac Bonewits(probably the most carefree book about magic that I will ever read). Mind's Eye Theatre by White Wolf.

RPG is my favorite genre.Character creation, skilltrees(or better yet, mix-n-match unrelated skills for a customized "tree") and a rich backstory are my jam. FPS comes in second place, as I do enjoy games with action, kind of a reason why a rich game like "Control" has become a favorite. Although I am still faithful to the trilogy of Mass Effect, Control comes close. Horizon Zero Dawn is awesome too. Overall, I prefer games where I can go my own pace and play solo, but I can make exceptions for multiplayer games that caught my attention. I would like to try to play some MILSIM with games like "Squad", "Arma" and such, but I just do not have the tactical mind nor experience to actually do it...maybe in the future. But not now. Lately I have been playing oldies like "Prototype", "The Chronicles of Riddick", "Second Sight" and some point and click adventure games. I have no experience with TTRPG(neither as player nor as DM/GM/Storyteller/Etc.), but I do have the material of ones I would like to try one day.Mostly from the World of Darkness/Chronicles of Darkness(Werewolf, Mage, Demon...heck, maybe even Promethean or Mummy), but there are others like Dark Matter, City of Mist and Shadowrun.

Anyone can learn to draw, how far they'll develop that skill is another matter. I still remember how I learned to draw.As a kid I used to want to have some images with me(stuff found on the internet or on magazines) but we did not have a printer or cellphones to take photos, so I ended up having to "copy" them by hand. That was how I started, simply by "copying".Of course, later a more formal drawing course taught me basics like light and shadow and perspective, but these can easily be learned from books or even youtube tutorials.

I never expect perfection from anything or anyone, because perfection is an ideal that doesn't exist in real life.At most you can get close to it, but never get it.

I was browsing YT and found a few videos/channels that I wanted to know if the stuff they're teaching is legit or if they are "making it up". Be as it may, online stuff is the only way(for now) for me to get anything related to qigong and such, and of those I can only get either what's cheap or what's free so I do have a habit of(once starting to learn something) searching for and "acquiring"(saving) what I find to see it later all together. The videos/channels in question are:

Indeed, but until I get enough experience to be able to ascertain this by myself, it doesn't hurt to hear from others(more experienced) here their own opinions about it.

Is it possible to not fear death, and yet not want to die?

Ok... ...WHAT?! ತ_ತ -
I reckon people must be tired of seeing me starting so many threads with questions and such by now -.-' But whay can I say?A curious mind breeds a deep thirst for knowledge. I have been browsing the site a bit in-between my reading time, and was checking about systems/methods(does it make a difference which word is it?). Question(preferably for those with some experience under their belt): Based on what you know or experienced, what would be one(1) system/method you would definitely recomend for beginners, and what would be one(1) system/method you would recomend for more experienced people? Take note though, we are taking into consideration the following: -Time needed for the practice(it can be done in few minutes per day or does it require up to hours? Can you do it anywhere or it has to follow specific "protocols/rules"?) -Resources, as well as their availability(How easy is it to find about it?Is it paid, free or "it depends"?Does it have all information or part of it?) -Learnability(Does it require learning from a master? How far can a person go on their own?How easy or hard is it to absorb the knowledge/teachings(be by yourself or through a master)?) -Results(Are they noticeable or subtle? How long should it take to see them? Are they as "advertised"?) ps: This time I am not asking for myself(already have my picks of systems/methods), I am just truly curious about it.

There are no shortcuts — some rules of thumb for internal practices
Shadao replied to dwai's topic in General Discussion
Ain't this the truth for most things though? I feel this also happens with many other things as well.We see videos of people doing incredible feats of strength or athleticism, people that seem to be able to dance like a tornado without sweating or even "geniuses" that start early and can soon be in an advanced stage of something in relation to one that started later in life. It's hard for those that are older to not feel jealous when seeing the younger ones achieving so much so soon, or it is hard to see how somethings seems to come easily to one but it is almost a hurdle to another. It's normal and it is human to compare yourself to those you perceive as better than you.The hard thing is not letting this weight you down. I'm already someone at odds with religion itself, but I do tend to avoid the "praying mindset" because I really hate the idea of something just being given, because what is given by others can be easily taken away from you. What you conquer will forever be yours is what I believe in. -
