Erwinā€™s cat deeply re-surrendered herself in the experience, conjoined her photons and atoms of the in-betweens, two worlds merged into one and the box disappeared. momentum and position fell into space and she changed her path and became a: quantumdancer šŸ™

wondered the same when I first got hereā€¦ but then forgot that thereā€™s no such thing as a free lunch.
  10. @Peaceful Hulk Your question (title and explanation thereof) seems contradictory, the wording is not well chosen in my opinion. Let me explainā€¦ A workaholic to me, would be a person, who enjoys work, in an unhealthy way, (like getting his fix) so that he forgets balancing work with socializing, eating, hobbies. Like a video game addict or a drug addict. Someone needing his fix, and be it to blend out the noise and find peace. (Why is another questionā€¦) Some work might be a bit like meditation, anyway. Some do it with the mind, some with compassion, some different, I guess. In my opinion work is not necessarily a hindrance. Oh but chose well. What you wrote below to explain your title question would instead suggest an external force of unhealthy personal greed (for lack of a better word) which would be relieved if that person would experience a shift of material gain that would remain, e.g. winning the lottery. Guess they wouldnā€™t be a workaholic afterwards then, no? So if someone ā€˜enjoysā€™ his drug and be it work or meditation or something, and his work being in accordance with his nature and dao, Iā€™d say, yes possible. With greed alone, rather unlikely. - Still, I second that what Maddie and doc benway explained about balance. Canā€™t really explain the difference to what I meant well in wordsā€¦. Thank you for your question, interesting!
  11. Never Letting Go

As you would with any other contract?
  12. Never Letting Go

time to say goodbye? move on. sometimes dynamics change, teacher becomes a student instead. If youā€™re not up to that, speak your truth and leave. no aversion, no attachment. itā€™s a deal you can withdraw from. you donā€™t owe anyone anything, if you tread careful. dependency should not reign a relationship like that or any. if itā€™s not beneficial for any of you, just speak up about it * in peace * and quit.
  13. It seems funny and odd as first, then thoughtworthy if you think of a tyrant, or a Gestapo Officer, or a serial killer. They all are as well, then in this perspective? As you referenced the chap called Robert, I had a further realizationā€¦ if you take integration seriously, relationships as a path (not one by my conscious choice) will show you what you are averse of or even despise and might need to integrate if you cannot become careless about it. It also reminded me of a series of dreams where I was in more than one perspective at the same time. Victim and perpetrator and a third non reactive bystander. Shocking really, I hate my path.

  16. And well, if the practitioner happens to be a (biological heterosexual) woman the Daena happens to come across as a radiant man? Huh. Regarding the ā€˜rite of destructionā€™ā€¦ thereā€™s a music piece by Strawinsky that pictures that well, ā€˜rite of springā€™ called, I believe, huh odd, it sets place in Mongolia or so, for spring a female is sacrificed in a dance, even though noone harms her physically. The female physically and in all layers just dies during this, just like in so many gruesome traditions of old, also common in the Tibetan traditions, if I recall correctly. Thanks, this seems helpful!, do you know if Zoroastrism is still practiced somewhere in the west? The Tibetan view seems quite crowded in my experience. The simpler the better. Lifeā€™s complicated enough. Iā€™d almost fall for a unique path, but learning seems limited- even there. Teachings seem to have parallels, though. Thanks for the onion metaphor, @Shadow_self but well you never know if itā€™s emptiness, beyond emptiness so what good does it do. The peeling on of layers after returning seems to make sense, even if itā€™s counterintuitive, why get ā€˜thickerā€™ again after returning?
  17. Wtf is this? Would you explain please?
  18. Developing Right Student Mindset

Indeed. And if despite training, discipline and listening there is no improvement it might be time to move on.

Still scratching my head. Tried to draw your version but it doesnā€™t add up or I donā€™t get it. If you happen to enjoy and have the extra time, please feel free to elaborateā€¦
  20. Developing Right Student Mindset

As long as we havenā€™t a no-resistance (zero-Ohm)teacher that reaches to us from the ā€˜other side of the lightā€™ we must be aware that we could be taking to the fool or the sage in our teacher at any timeā€¦ and as well act and react from the same positions ourselves ā€¦ as also we still are partly fool and (if lucky) partly sage. Not saying: anything goes, but - be reasonable and proportionate in forbidding someone to speak his/her voice!
