  1. I spoke with Max

Scotty knows he isn't speaking on Max's behalf. That's a misunderstanding. He stated numerous times that he wasn't a spokesman for Max or the Kunlun community but just sharing his opinions. People on this board are free to share their opinions. In my view, there is no negativity on this forum, and when there is it's rare. The general intent on thetaobums is good, Scotty isn't trying to hurt you and Seth or Hundun isn't out to harm Max. They are just sharing their perspectives from the knowledge they have, and whether that knowledge is true or not is why we have discussions here so that the people who read it can make up their minds. Even when there was all the talk about demonic possessions or Max being fake, the direction of the discussions wasn't so much to put down Max and his practice. It was guided by a mix of fascination and fear that someone of his supposed caliber would teach the public. People have the right to be skeptical; that mindset is especially crucial today where you have so many false gurus. Unlike what Max seems to believe, the general consensus on this forum regarding Kunlun is positive. Respected members like Taomeow, Trunk, Cat, and you (5ET) support it, and through the years his teachers have been found to be legitimate. Most people who have gone to his seminars, despite whatever personal vendetta they have, agree that his energy is real and powerful. They were all shared on this forum through personal experience and not some verification of authority. That personal approach is what makes thetaobums what it is. If you are concerned about how your teachings will look on here, you should defend their legitimacy and their effects instead of going after Scotty. That makes you seem all the more shallow minded and overly sensitive. It's a great marketing tool too and not just a waste of time on an internet forum with some guy. IMO, I think you could've handled this situation better by treating Scotty's opinions with respect by engaging him in a discussion oriented around the contents of his skepticism instead of his character or past personal exchanges with you. I think now you're just making a greater mess of things. It honestly makes you look worse. This is the risk of any teacher participating in public discussions like this. It's brave and can be effective in promoting yourself and your products but also a double edged swords in situations like this.
  2. Different ways of describing Emptiness

Ungraspable, boundless, self-liberating, undefined, inexplicable are few english terms I like.
  3. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

What Max teaches is not just Jenny's Yi Gong. The Yi Gong and the energy it generates is only a fraction of the practice and in my experience is utilized to open your channels and generate energy so you can complete the alchemy through RP 1, 2, 3 and the GF. No one teaches Kunlun 2 or 3 besides Max to the public. When Max began teaching these techniques, they were known to no one except initiated students like Jenny. Monastery doesn't necessarily mean a physical location, but an order or a group of people bound by vows not to release certain knowledge. Max is also not a student of Jenny's from my knowledge but their relationship is a brother to sister type. If he did not have authority to teach or Jenny would have come out publicly to denounce Max and stop it being released to the public. Jenny would've condemned it from the get go, especially releasing level 2 teachings. From what I understand, Jenny is not the only source Max attained the practices from. The background behind the practices is much deeper than you or anyone's knowledge on this forum. This is just like when there was a controversy over Max's Maoshan lineage when one of the deranged teachers came on board with false rumors against him calling Max a liar and a fake. 5ET had to contact Max and Sifu Lum to clear that whole mess. That instance just revealed how there is a whole backstory to how teachers in that lineage transmit knowledge that no one on this board knew of and everyone was making quick assumptions on what little piece of knowledge they had. If you are suggesting that money is the issue, Sifu Jenny charges the same rate Max does. The money from the book sales also was not just for Max's personal gain, but involved Chris and his company too. Your version of events is very unlikely. Why would Max knowingly fabricate an origins story in the second book and give it to Jenny for approval if she was the one who taught him the practice? That doesn't make sense. Who goes to their teacher with a blatantly made up story about the very practice they taught you? Especially since the first book did not contain an origins story and it was totally unnecessary. Even before the seminar with Jenny you had negative biases against Max due to misunderstanding of Kan's interview. You're not seeing things clearly but just quick to find any evidence to criticize Max. You, me, nor Scotty do not know the full story behind this issue. I suggest you don't jump ship and call Max a liar, but leave an open mind.
  4. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

Ah ok that makes more sense. Max has told stories of dark entities attacking him and being a serious threat to his life. It might have something to do with his past as to why he reacts so strongly to unknown forces.
  5. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

    I think you're really dramatic.
  6. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

Yeah, maybe you aren't as advanced or powerful as you think you are as someone suggested before. You sound a lot like Starjumper, but a little more mature.
  7. Question for Buddhists

The Diamond Stutra and the Avatamsaka stura say there are infinite realms. The six realms also divide into smaller realms of beings with similar karma. Those are in the pali suttas from what i read. I don't think this is that important though. The infinite in expressed in the finite, just as the finite is in the infinite. One in all, all in one. Well, that's what the Avatamsaka says.
  8. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

Ok that's not the story. Kan's body dematerialized in the coffee shop unwillingly. You're acting like a troll.
  9. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

Yes, the goal of Kunlun is the Golden Dragon Body, or the returnable Rainbow Body. It's immortality or ending the cycle of rebirths, i.e. enlightenment. It's the main purpose of the practice.
  10. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

It seems like this is a personal issue for you. I never mentioned anything about Max scaring you. Why does anything like that come into this discussion? What has "how far you've come" or your abilities have anything to do with what we are talking about? We were talking about the situation in which the guy challenged Max to demonstrate on him at the seminar. It didn't involve you. You should know that it is much easier to do damage to a person than heal him/her in any interaction. Witch was affected critically, doesn't have to be the physical nerves. You can't control the effects of your actions on a person's body, especially when its nature is subtle. And even if you make it minimal, why in the world would Max risk that to a person who is there with his wife and kid in the middle of a lecture? Don't you see the context beyond just "me vs. Max" thing you have projecting here?
  11. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

So you want Max to do, as he did to Witch, someone at the seminar? Witch wrote here herself that what happened to her was very critical and she hasn't been able to fully recover. Why would Witch lie to us? She's disapproved of the retention practice in the book from day 1. I don't understand your line of thinking. You don't have understanding of how Max's energy works or its potential impact on a person who approaches with a malicious intent. What if it could potentially damage the nerves of that person for the sake of doing a demo? Why would Max take that risk?
  12. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

Ok, so the death process isn't a strange story to you. Ingesting poisons and detoxifying them with your energy is a well known Daoist practice. I have tried it to a certain degree with my body too abeit on a very minimal scale. I think you are overblowing those stories. Max didn't say he was killed in those accidents, but almost nearly died in each instance. I actually know each story you are referring to. Max is over 50 years old and his life has been dedicated to the occult and the supernatural. He's been in the military and one of his hobbies is treasure hunting. He went to China when there weren't many foreigners allowed. He is friends with a guy who has regular contact with aliens (Alex Collier). He studied under a master who teaches spirit fighting. If your life is structured around these activities you are bound to have certain incidents occur. There are stranger stories in the accounts of tibetan masters or in the Daoist cannon. Why are you so surprised?
  13. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

Ah I see. So apparently Sifu Jenny's understandings of the origins of the practice is different from Max's. Either that or Max just made it up. The latter possibilities is just strange to me because the story is unnecessary. He had already published the first pillar of bliss book and it wasn't likely that Sifu Jenny would not see it. And the people who buy it wasn't buying it because it had an origins story. In fact, it seems he approached Jenny for approval. Why would you approach your teacher with a fabricated story about a practice you learned from that teacher, all the while knowing that there were still controversies happening as to your legitimacy (such as at thetaobums at the time)? Some thing doesn't line up.
  14. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

Level 2 and 3 have never been taught in public by Jenny. To my knowledge Jenny never taught level 2 in its entirety to anyone, let alone level 3. I'm not even sure she taught Max level 2. Also we don't know the circumstances in which Jenny taught Max. I doubt Max went to a seminar.
  15. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

Your post was just unnecessary and tasteless.
  16. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

I wouldn't consider that speaking behind his back. She seemed to have just replied to a question in an honest way.
  17. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

So Sifu Jenny doesn't know the history herself.
  18. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

Does posting this kind of thing make you feel above the rest of us having a discussion here?
  19. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

Did Sifu Jenny say, "the story is false. Max made it up."? In that instance, it's very weird. If Sifu Jenny was the only one who taught Max Yi Gong, Max would approach her with a story made up about it for her direct approval, from the person who he learned the practice from? That sounds highly unlikely. Or did she say "I can't endorse the story or the book." Daoist practices come with plenty of legends and myths attached to it. Stories give power to lineages. Chinese culture have developed through characters and lineages in fiction and myths. Any ancient tradition is based on mythical tales. They aren't usually in the lines of "oh there was this one guy and he figured this physical exercise out then taught it." It's more like "some guy came from the heavens and taught this."
  20. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

No you are missing the point of the story. Max said he could potentially hurt the person, whether physically or not. I've seen those interactions in other seminars and Max's replies have been consistent. That passing his energy through someone without experience with Kunlun could seriously damage their nervous system. People who he demonstrated to weren't necessarily his students either but people who had been practicing for awhile. Max saying he died isn't much of a big issue. Practitioners go through the death process at higher levels. There are people here who have teachers who have gone through death experiences. Tibetan lamas go through the bardo through visions also. It's not nonsense. Yes immortality is one of the main aspects of Kunlun, as with taoism and Kunlun's aim, the returnable rainbow body. I don't understand what shit he pulled. What Max did in the circumstance seems like the obvious thing to do. I spoke to Sifu Jenny too. Seth isn't a spokesman for Jenny. She had nothing but utmost respect for Max and Kan and said they were one of the very few practitioners she knows is beyond the level one practice. But she said she wouldn't speak on the system Max currently teaches. Refusing to endorse a book or a story does not mean that it is a lie. She doesn't want her name to be part of the Kunlun teachings and Max put out a statement to clearly distinguish between his system and Jenny's. The background of the Kunlun posture is also not as clear as people seem to think. I remember hearing a story from a person attending a seminar saying a high level tibetan lama approached her and said that the practice is also taught in higher circles of her tradition. Max's original story about the practice was also that he came upon it from a different source than Jenny's but coincidentally his kunfu sister also already had the knowledge. You are being a bit dramatic thinking too much in the extremes. We don't know the intricacies behind the stories. But I do know that Sifu Jenny did not call Max a liar. And that in the situation you describe any sensible person would have acted the way Max did. Max and Kan's stories have been consistent as to how they met. Everyone agrees Max has juice, that his energy is real.
  21. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

Max doesn't live in a temple with a group of students. It would be incredibly stupid to fight random people who come to challenge you at seminars that have nothing to do with martial skills. If some teacher did that an alarm would go off in my head to get the hell out of there. It seems like you aren't even aware of the incident we are talking about.
  22. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

I don't get what you expect Max to do in that situation. Are you upset that Max didn't beat the guy to a pulp with snake bagua in front of his wife and kids in the middle of a lecture on enlightenment? What happened seems to be this. A guy stands up and challenges Max during a mid lecture. Max says a bunch of things so that they wouldn't have to fight. The guy seemed to have made up his mind that he was either going to be hurt or validate in his mind that Max is a fraud. So one way or another the guy leaves. Problem resolved and the seminar can go on without a lawsuit or anyone getting hurt. Sifu Jenny has never said Max is a liar, if she thought that she would say so to make sure people don't fall for his stuff. She just refuses to take part in what he currently teaches or give her name to it. Her personal reasons are likely to her own. Good. So he did help you. Everyone wins.
  23. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

What exactly are your statements? Couldn't find any coherent opinion in those threads.
  24. Yigong by Sifu Jenny Lamb

Because there isn't. All the negativity about him comes from thetaobums. People who are disappointed in him conjure up their own projections. The "sketchness" has died out, because most of it has been misunderstandings. "i wasn't there to get blissed out. i was there to seek the guidance of a true master. someone who could look right into me and know where i've been, and know what i need to reach the highest levels. someone who could share wisdom or tools to help me with some of the issues that arise with my patients. someone who could make me a better servant to others." I found this quote from the thread. Seems like you went to the seminar looking for something or someone. And inevitably was disappointed...where's the sketchiness? If some guy in the middle of a lecture stood up and asked me to give him internal bleeding I would just tell him I can't. And if he calls me a fraud for that, I would say ok. Go ahead, call me what you want, walk out, but I'm not going to hurt you when I'm lecturing on compassion and enlightenment.
