Max doesn't teach Guru yoga. It's funny everyone's like "oh my god, all these loonies are worshipping Max...yada yada." Read about the true Guru yoga students who devote decades serving their teacher to learn a meditation technique. Read through the Mahasiddhas who scraped their guru's shit for twelve years, of how Naropa was beat by Tilopa without a hint of teaching given to him for a decade. You are NOT guaranteed or entitled to a spiritual practice in a lifetime. Sifu Jenny now teaches publicly. She doesn't scan people and everyone is welcome. If she did that the teaching wouldn't be available to people like you and me, and it'd be like the old times when only the select few are going to be privileged. And I sure don't want that. What's better is what we have here when, yes, there can be pitfalls and difficulties to practices like Kunlun given to an individual to sort through, BUT we have fellow practitioners who can guide each other and help one another. So what Max and Jenny are doing is ok for our age. Anyways, in the olden days, a technique would be given to a yogin who would go to the caves and practice that for years. Teachers aren't supposed to babysit you through this stuff. -

Yea, that's all the trash in you. Going through nightmares, emotional upheavals, and devastating self reflections is part of ANY quality meditative techniques. Vipassana, Zen, whatever effective meditation you do you have to face your inner demons and fears. I've sweated cold plenty from nightmares and visions. But Kunlun, as powerful as it is, makes it that much more intense. But after sometime, it's a smooth ride. . -

Hey Mr. Journalist, let's not call someone a sociopath before we have evidence he is one. Yes, there are people who have experienced a myriad of problems. Those problems have all been documented here, and people can make their own conclusions as of their causes. You can't really steal energy...because energy isn't really "contained" in you...your energies can be directed at a thing or someone (I guess in this case that would be Max), but again, that's really the problem with the individual deciding to put him on a pedestal. And this isn't just a problem with Max, it's a problem with all teacher student relationships. Max has briefly revealed that his relationship with certain teachers aren't so solid. And understandably so since teaching this stuff to the public won't be popular. So to gain a broader perspective you should probably get Max's side of the story too. You should post all that stuff from many people... If you really care about revealing the truth, your drama KING stuff's is just distracting, makes you sound biased, and just plain unnecessary. -

Ok, so you haven't verified anything yet and have caused all this ruckus. Good investigative reporting. As for the letters to students, stuff like that isn't new to this forum at all. We've had students who had had very bad experiences, but they were mostly due to their own projections. -

Have you opened your body to your environment? It's difficult being around emotionally and physically imbalanced people because they affect your system already. You don't feed on people's negativity, their negativity feeds on you. Ok, just for people reading through this. I am not suffering, and I think people can also see that Cat and Joeblast are not exactly suffering either. If there is anyone displaying "imbalance" here it's you. You need to clarify Max's teachers. I asked Jenny about Max and she said she respects him deeply as a fellow practitioner. Also a year ago, one of his "teacher" or brothers from Mao Shan lineage came on this forum causing all sorts of controversy saying similar stuff you are saying until things got cleared and he needed therapy or something. -

I've studied with him and I don't think he is superhuman. I don't want powers badly, he didn't really suggest anything when we were in a small group. Also I have no intentions of being a star student. He just taught the practice, shared some cool stories, I don't know why you are hyping this up so much... Some of the claims you make here are serious so you better be ready to back that up guy. Enough drama queen antics. Stealing energy? No you feel energized in his presence and after the seminars. It's not anything special either, when people meditate together, there is also a sharing of energies in any practice when your body is open. -

No, non striving is the attainment of the Tao. Yeah, that's not what Max teaches, not because you are right or wrong, but because all you wrote is from speculation based on other people's...speculation. -
what's the purpose of life, or this body?
Lucky7Strikes replied to Non's topic in General Discussion
There is no purpose. To play, drink, laugh, make love, make art, play, play, and on and on! YAYAYA! -
It'd be great if during meditation today and for the near future, we can offer blessings to the youths in Egypt who have done something incredible. Hoping dearly that they can continue the spirit of non-violence, unity, and brotherhood through the harder times ahead, and that the spirit spreads through the much needed region of Africa and the Middle East! _/\_ . Viva la revolucion!

. I don't consider Kunlun as my main practice, but a very useful tool for direct insight meditation. And I did post a lengthy thread on some bodily changes I began experiencing a few weeks back, but everyone's body and energetic configuration is different, so posting certain experiences may insinuate false imitation. No that wasn't the case. I was completely blissed out for a week with no sense of time, space, or any solidarity. Felt like I was walking on air. I felt the universe and all my surroundings breathing with my body. In breath, the universe became me, out breath, I became the universe. Something in those lines at least  . But as we went around the sit to share, when it came to this guy, even before he opened his mouth, my system just took an immediate "hit." Then he went on to talk about how he had lost his home, was homeless, and now trying to find a way back. It's not about "figuring out" other's feelings. They become as palpable as feeling your own feet on the ground, or the touch of things. You don't grab a cup and try to "tune in" to that feeling if you are already sensitive with your hand.  In my experience, the blissful openings of the body must not be solidified. They should be freely let go of so they will take their natural course throughout the body. There will naturally be a lot of clinging and reifying of experiences, but contemplation on the ever effortlessness, spontaneity, openness, and emptiness of experience, lets the process happen very very naturally, like learning to walk. I don't know much yet about transferring energy, but seeing there is no "out" or "in" in experiences lets one's mind connect to everything else easily. I had a lot of hard time with red phoenix too, but that too, don't force the energy. See where it like to go, and guide it by coaxing it, not push it. Wish you the best! -

Another ignorant sppeculation. I've met max three times. I approached him with as much doubt fear thinking him a fraud. I've never seen max take advantage of people or mention anything that would make him seem special. All that is marketing which has its downsides but now I see that perhaps it was necessary to raise a ruckus to draw peoples attention. It sure worked here. Max is humble and refers often to his teachers in gratitude. He always mentions that he is equal to the people at the seminar. But all this is not why I'm defending him here. Its because the practice is genuine, the bliss is real and the insight it offers is ripe for todays generation that demands rapid progress. The more you become open to your environment the more sensitive you become of the toxicity and suffering around you. I was at a sit two weeks ago and chose to give as much bliss energy overflowing in my body to the people as I could. I could feel them. I could feel they guy in front me dumping his inner suffering onto me. I nearly choked with throat pain and was in tear for some hours. I had to build and purify all that again. I did what I did as a sort of experiment with the energy overflowiing within me. I don't think I am quite ready to be doing stuff like that now. So it's a wonder how max gives what he can to hundreds of people. His doing something beneficial to others and painfulnto him so it pisses me off now when I read all this ignorant speculation insulting him. Don't go now saying "see how you worship him now!" That's not how I feel. I feel gratitude towards him and send him blessings, but I don't feel that he is above me or below him but like a compassionate fellow cultivator who has learned what he has through blessings of his teachers. The practice let's you stand on your own. -

Another ignorant speculation. It says on the site that the shamanic classes are not to teach how one to become a shaman, but give the experience of the rituals. You know nothing about what max teaches how he is in person or his history. Why do you keep insulting someone you bately know? I don't mind you as much when you are berating vaj but your toxicity can rub off people who want to learn about kunlun and I want people who are interested to actually give this a try. -

If you want to take the intellectual road, there is nothing I see that's wrong with it. But you should go all the way and have confidence in your ability to reason in investigating reality. I would check out contemplative traditions like vipassana, Nagarjuna, Shankara, jnana yoga, etc. well I know a lot of other esoteric traditions have them but I'm just listing ones I've delved into. The yogic path like Kunlun requires the mind to let go into the process, because when one's awareness is entrapped in the mind shrouded by doubts and analysis, the energetics of the body simply cannot flow. It's like guru yoga, you trust your teacher, but in this case the technique, completely. And yes, the downside to this is you may get conned, but it is also the quicker path than the scholarly one where you draw the entire map before setting foot. What we have today though is out ability to communicate so easily, so we can have faith in the testimonials of fellow practitioners who have approved of the practice. Like lerner said, I went to Kunlun seminar only because people like Taomeow, Trunk, Shawn, etc., genuine cultivators, went and gave positive feedback. -

People have posted experiences here before. But I guess you missed that. And they've also gone down wonderful paths of love and compassion. You just decided see only the darker aspect. Max doesn't ask people of anything, but offers techniques. 300 dollars for a 10 hour weekend is reasonable. No you just do the practice and see that it is real, that it comes from within, that it has nothing to do with Max just as a tool sold by a merchant, if effective and useful, doesn't require the presence of the merchant anymore. Stop spewing ignorant speculation and assumption. -
