Why don't you just go to a seminar or seek out a facilitator or just try the practice out? -

Belief is everything. If you don't let your mind become flexible, you will not get anywhere with spiritual progress. You really won't progress in anything with rock head. You offer nothing on this site except negative criticism and berating of other's spirituality. There's a difference between positive and passionate discussion and useless word tossing. It's not only in your words, but also between them. Your logical expositions are not constructive but backed by negative personal emotions . Really, what are you doing here? -

Bodily transformation is undeniable with true alchemical practice. It largely does depend on the mind, but you can't deny what's happening within you. You realize that a practice is not a fraud when progress happens naturally even when you are not intending it. For me at least, big opening have happened when I had absolutely no expectations. -

He is not like that in person. Why not meet him before passing judgment? All the judgment passed about him have come from people who are only speculating. He finds the ancient traditions fascinating, so shares his passion like a archeologist or an anthropologist would. Why shouldn't we find excitement in alchemy and the human potential? -
I understand all the caution and doubt. But I see genuine emotions too. I like to see the good and believe in the innate goodness and a desire for communal happiness in people, so I see that as the main thing going on in Egypt, and those emotions in their rawest sense will be greater than any delusioned ideology labeled on it. .

Opening from the Heart and the Wrong Approach to Non-Duality
Lucky7Strikes posted a topic in General Discussion
There is a pattern in spiritual teachings (I guess more in the Buddhist sense) on the concept of "non-attachment" "non-reification" or "emptiness" (when interpreted wrongly) to the point of paranoia, questioning of all experiences: "oh, am I reifying this"? "am I attaching to this experience"? This is in my point of view just as unproductive and self sabotaging as actually becoming attached to experiences and things. This is attachment to non-attachment, it is a fear of being wrong and not following the written words or a doctrine. When words govern experience, and not the other way around, all sorts of confusion sets in. When it is taught that emptiness is the nature of things, the fault is trying to "see" emptiness, analyzing "this is dependently originated and therefore empty." This is a useful teaching, but must lead to direct experience of emptiness and not a view of emptiness. The empty nature of things reveals itself naturally. You feel "in" emptiness, as in you feel constant change, spontaneity, and ungraspable expression, not a constant reverting to the view of emptiness. The view arises as a concept or a reminder when the mind begins to grasp things, but this is effortless, like a person in reaching into the fire, quickly pulls his hand back knowing it is hot. The view must not trap itself. Luminosity, awareness, pristiness spoken so often of, and sometimes as the "ground" of being, is not something that belongs to phenomena. It is not a characteristic of phenomena. It is one's very essence. The basic beingness. Don't think beingness is some thing, some entity, it is an attitude. It is realizing what you are. Everyone who says luminosity is empty is wrong, because luminosity is not an entity. It is not a thing. Don't say that I am reifying it, it cannot be reified or non reified, because it is not a "it." It is only reified when one analyzes it, labels it, makes it some "thing." Then it becomes a thing, and now you have made a thingness out of beingness, which is a feeling of "everythingness." When luminosity beings to reveal itself, there is no way one could reify it. It is pure creative expression itself. You feel infinite potential. It displays its empty nature perfectly like sweetness of candy. It is pure openness. Reification is what happens when one goes back and analyzes this experience as something to fabricate, make God out of, or avoid, or "empty out." Lumnosity's nature is pure expression, and it is the reflection of the universe. There is no universe but infinite reflections upon reflection. You are the universe and I am the universe, but a perspective of the whole universe: interdepednent. You don't feel you, you feel infinite. So Luminosity is not dependently originated, because it does not originate. It is interdependent. As in it is reflective. -

I have an intuitive feeling at what you are getting at. Will be open to the experience! _/\_ -
 I like that statement very much, thanks Marblehead.

Why, did you expect a hug? What are you so afraid of? All your posts have this underlying fear to it, it's like you desperately need respect, need affirmation, need something to ground you because you are afraid of releasing something within you. It's just a sense that I get and I may be wrong. I do wish you well and hope you keep up with Kunlun.

They do open well with other practices, but understanding of dependent origination cuts the habit of blockages at the root. Open all your channels...then what? Open more channels? Now you need to keep them open by practicing? What happens when you open all the channels you can? Do they close back up? Even if your body dissipates into thin air, where will you be then? So now you have to keep opening channels, eat healthy food, exercise, do chi gong...so now you've been bound by conditions and when those conditions are gone and your channels close, what will you do then?

No it really happens

Why are you so twisted man? Hehehehehe.

The natural state is a compassionate state. It is natural in that there is no effort to be compassionate. You are just a nice person. Only people can improve their own lives, spiritual practitioners often fall into egoic traps of being "guides" or "helpers."
-
Understanding of Dependent Origination unbinds one from obsessive thoughts or attachment to states and forms, thereby ending all mental and physical suffering.  The Channels of the body open up naturally with just the breath and everything feels peaceful and harmonious without any effort made, but just conscious knowledge of the way things are.

The prajnaparamita agrees exactly with what I've been saying. It is an expression of the unfindability and deconstructive state of being, ever free, ever liberated. And what is "recognizing"? We use that word a lot here along with the word "insight." What exactly is that? Is it recognizing something that is there? Or is it recognizing something that is not there ? Investigation is an intellectual activity. How do you investigate without using the intellect? If you mean the natural revelation of things, that is not investigation but in my opinion a de-investigation, a clearing of the clouds so that reality as is shines through naturally. -

You read my words from your perspective. So everything I write is interpreted within that paradigm of entities/conventionality. I no longer see or experience in that manner. If you are to go about this intellectually, you should investigate into the habit of conceptuality and non-conceptuality, and what it is to "recognize" things and "not-recognize" things. I don't see much hint of actual experience in your words, perhaps surges of bliss here and there arising from the feeling of "ah! I got it!" and I don't mean that to be condescending, I've been that way for years too . I mean that so you will drop the paradigms and see directly reality as is. Please don't make this personal. -

For me the experience of unity arose with the insight that all experiences are within the scope of awareness. The insight of emptiness and ungraspability led to the spontaneity and openeness of awareness, as well as its self liberating nature. Hey man, thanks for being patient with me I know I've been jumping back and forth . -

Yes, I see where one can easily make the mistake of attributing an all encompassing entity as an explanation of experiencing a feeling of "oneness." The knowledge of dependent origination undoes that knot, but that too must not be clung to for then experience tries to grasp to the relationship between the entities within that dependence, when there are no substantial relationship or cause to be found. I am saying that there is no need to reject or affirm awareness. In fact there is no need to reject or affirm anything. How do you know that a rock is not conscious? How do you tell a dream from reality? How do you know the real from imagination? How do you know the past or the future? How do you know whether consciousness came first or awareness came second? Without relying on scriptures, can you explain to me how I can know these things first hand? The problem here is in assumption and knowing which become bases for causation of this and that. But upon cessation of this, all thats cease accordingly. And what is direct insight mean for you? How do you directly know something. Is it intuition? How can you tell if an intuition is true or false? Because a guru has told you? Investigation is based on imposition of things and definitions. There is no need to investigate further than the act of investigating itself. It is not a feeling of ignorance, but the wisdom of knowing why things arise as they do and that all arisings, when clung to as real and substantial, lead to its own cycle of causality. Birth does not only happen with the body, but with every idea, emotion, feeling, entity, clung to as substantial and causal. Is there a universe? The moment the mind says there is a universe, then it entraps itself into the universe. Are there sentient beings? Now there is a "me" and a "you." Is Buddha Awareness conditioned? Now there is the aspect of conditioning in experience. It might be that Buddha Awareness or just awareness itself is conditioned, that all events in our lives are conditioned by innumerable sentient beings interdependently reflecting one another. But by clinging to this structure, one is again conditioned into it. Awareness free of all things neither perceives nor not perceives these elements, they all appear like playful exchange of mirages. Where does this constant referring to the emptiness of things leave a practitioner. He becomes entrapped in the view itself. Also, I am not debating the reality of things, but the way of experiencing things. . And you may be right in all that you say, and I may need to investigate further, but I find further investigation actually detrimental to practice and feel it, I feel it literally like a cage, closing in on the natural openness of awareness. . -
Hahahhaha. That's like when I began to seriously masturbate  .

Yes, and then one no longer sees entities.
