Your posts are all contradictory in their message and actions. Colored with lofty words: Truth, Universe, Everything. You cannot even answer basic questions. You never cared about the truth or freedom in the first place. A justification, a relief from responsibility was all you were after. I love it, a perfect excuse. You can now go cuddle with the Neo religious, blame it all on the ultimate.
  2. I think I just experienced enlightenment

    Wasn't that the other Suzuki?
  3. I think I just experienced enlightenment

You insult all the traditions, practitioners, and masters by claiming yourself to enlightenment in order to justify this very thing. "Now I will do whatever...I love this world too much..I can now control the ego." An ideological justification to stroke your self. Next time you come to the realization of how silly you are right now, please, please do not send out stuff like this. Some idiot may actually believe you.
  4. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Does this mean you and I are the same? Surely if YOU are all that exists...and I am all that exists...logically you and I would be the same... Also if we are both constantly changing... Do you mean 1) there is something changing IN me, 2) that I AM changing? 3) Or that I AM THE change? I am experiencing...do you mean 1) there is I experiencing expression 2) I am the experience of expression itself 3) OH BUT WAIT! I Am all that exists! So how can I experience?
  5. I think I just experienced enlightenment

What is the ultimate... Like everything? Are you saying I am part of the universe? GHAHAHAHHAA...ok...what did you think you weren't part of this universe before...uh... Let's examine your lofty statements again: "All exist is truth, but the truth has no real form." What should I do with this statement. It's like saying there are unicorns but you won't find unicorns. Um...ok...so what you say is quite meaningless..? I am learning about what is?...but "WHAT IS?" how do you learn about what is? This is like saying you are going to learn about...well..WHAT? The ultimate...lets clarify this again. What is the ultimate? Ah ok the Truth. Oh but it has no form. So how do you lean about something without form? Oh wait yes it is also me. So here we have Ultimate = Truth = Me = Formless = ...but it's not ego...AH I SEE! You have aligned yourself with undefined and lofty things like Truth, Ultimate, Formless! So you can control your ego! And justify yourself doing oh so whateverrrrr you please.. oh WAIT, what about the ego? So everything is everything except for ego? Huh? Oh Most Honored One, I'm so confused. Help me!
  6. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Again, if you say things like "all that exists is liberation" what are you saying exists? I surely don't know anything called liberation....the moment that I am in? What do you mean? Find me this moment!? If liberation is all that exists...how can anything else exist, such as "I" wanting reality to be something as you say in your post? If it is all that exists, then surely that statement says nothing else can exist...
  7. I think I just experienced enlightenment

What do you mean you control the ego... Then what is this "you" doing the controlling?
  8. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Ok enlightened one, Can you answer some questions? What is "you"? What am "I"? and What is the "ego"?
  9. Free yourself!

Help yourself . I'm sorry, I'm just poking fun at you . Hope you delve deeper into your practice. P.S. Please don't think you are enlightened, because you don't know either way. A Zen master would've probably beaten you to a pulp, or thrown you down three stories. .
  10. Free yourself!

Then why this thread? Why not just shut up if you can't do it? Preaching..."free yourself!"..
  11. Free yourself!

Ugh... Now on to liberate other people...
  12. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Prick. I hope you had the satisfaction of feeling superior and at peace taking the better road!
  13. I think I just experienced enlightenment

Again.... Bunch of "they think this"...but I don't... I think you've established your theory on the basis of the disillusionment of others? It wouldn't explain anything if it is truly not anymore true than others. You wouldn't title this "I just experienced enlightenment"... Why should I be interested in your ideas if they won't be "true" anyway? We have an eternity to understand what? Your truth that there is no truth? Everyone is on a journey to where? To your end? Sewn into your post are signs of spiritual arrogance...of what people "should" do....
  14. I think I just experienced enlightenment

See, you just sound like an arrogant prick "oh so smarter than others." Now I'm definitely sure you are not enlightened. Because 1) you condescend. 2) you condescend if you see ego, personality, or self of others. 3) if you see the inherency of "others" then you are not enlightened. You wrote the above yesterday. So much for no truths. I think your ideas are great. But how much do you truly believe them? Mere ideas. Nothing much to do with enlightenment...or "whatever."
  15. I think I just experienced enlightenment

What is life? What is chaos? What does it mean for chaos to be the only thing that exists? What are subjective truths? Beliefs? What are beliefs? Who are beliefs held by? You suppose "all seekers" are seeking the truth. Why do you suppose that? It seems like you suppose that so that you can impose it on others and stroke your own ego...a new egotism..."oh, I'm not like them." The mind searches for truths at times to feel superior to "others" being wrong and you being right. Such an easy ego trip! I think you have the right idea, but the certainty that there is no truth can also be seen as a truth. Yes yes, your idea is against this, but the view that dissolves itself is the precise purpose of the view. So one should investigate the tendency in yourself to suppose something, to say "ah, I think I get it, I think I understand!." Anyways, your manner here does not reflect the content of the words...at least in my perspective. I just don't think you have explored enough, but of course I could be wrong. Seems like you are too caught up in idea play. No one needs to approve or reject anything you write in the first place. It's about your experiential development and I don't think you have delved deep into your own "truth" even as you word them here. Don't just play word puzzles, delve deeper into their origin!

    Ken Wilber sucks.
  17. Mindstream

Hi everyone, I've been looking into the concept of the mindstream, and just wanted people's insights into its meaning and usage in Buddhism. It seems like the mind stream itself is a false entity placed on a chain of imprints, a chain of cause and effect processes where each moment dependently originates the next and so on, the store house consciousness also being just latent grasping of the self, not really a "thing" but more of a ingrained habit. I mistakenly believed for sometime that there were "individual streams" of mind, but this is only in be the case when one grasps at selfhood. The sense of a stream seems to be due to the imprints and memories left by a moment, as no moment is without effect or cause, that produce a sense of continuum (which without right insight produces a sense of "self"). But really that unit of cause, that moment leaving a memory, seems no more special than other causes and conditions, like say, the weather giving rise to this right now. I've heard Buddhist practitioners deny "we are one consciousness" and suggest that we are individual multiple consciousnesses, but the latter seems also to be misleading. I think it's better to say, there is not even a multitude, no "thing" to be multiply seen in the first place, just an arising and disappearing experiences. So the seamless presence spoken as an experience is merely due to the luminous character of "all" phenomena and not a certain stream of consciousness?
  18. Mindstream

I read in the diamond sutra today "How do I know this? Because this person must have discarded all arbitrary notions of the existence of a personal self, of other people, or of a universal self. Otherwise their minds would still grasp after such relative conceptions. Furthermore, these people must have already discarded all arbitrary notions of the non-existence of a personal self, other people, or a universal self. Otherwise, their minds would still be grasping at such notions. Therefore anyone who seeks total Enlightenment should discard not only all conceptions of their own selfhood, of other selves, or of a universal self, but they should also discard all notions of the non-existence of such concepts." ...
  19. How can time exist?

Yes yes, but isn't it weird how we still perceive things, a this and thats, in this constant flux?
  20. Mindstream

I think the causes and conditions are comprehended for their ignorance, their unestablishment, not necessarily for how they "really" are... Yes yes, it is undone, not reestablished. It is the ending of ignorance...the chain and causes were established by nothing but mind...all a mind's play seen through...
  21. How can time exist?

I think there are a few problems with your inquiry, anyways here are my 2 cents... 1) there is an assumption here that for something to exist it must be created from some other thing 2) the question is not really about whether there is such thing as present, past, or future, but how we perceive these definitions... 3) these questions should further lead to question of what exactly is "perception"...which leads to questions of identity.. 4) which is really about our tendencies to define... 5) then one realizes it is irrelevant that there "is" or there "is not" but the virtue of uncertaintity But this has just been my experience...
  22. The Highest Buddhist Consort Practice

Hi Shakimama, Hope Santi the best.
  23. The Highest Buddhist Consort Practice

In defense of Gold, not many people here give serious consideration to much of what he writes anyway unless he invokes some emotion in people. People usually don't consider beyond the emotional aspect, something in the lines of putting people on pedestals or imaginary idealizations and thinking "oh, they couldn't possibly act like THAT if their wise." And he also likes to challenge everyone's views and practices with good English and that can be disarming for people who invest a lot in their practice and believe in what they do. I'm not saying Gold is a master or anything, but people's reaction to him usually are shallow at best and it reveals more about both parties than just a pretentious "oh you say this, and I'll say this, and we can both go on nicey nicey." I don't know if he does this on purpose...but just my 2 cents...

Haha yes! When one is in zazen, the whole world sits in zazen! Everything naturally in free fall, naturally in shikantaza!
