The outer world is the past's manifestation of habit energies of the inner world. There is not much of a difference, only timeliness. Like you imagine unicorns during the day then experience them as "real" in the dream. You are mentally hungry so you move your body and eat food, a physical manifestation... Your mentality conditions your physical actions and the coming physical reality. This is really something taken for granted by us in everyday reactions. No such thing as objective reality, only a shared dream! 2 Cents...

Oh ok. Sorry then go on Gauss! You're doing good!

I might have interpreted pamelais' claim wrong but she/he said saw Kan disappear or a similar phenomena with Kunlun practitioners. Max has said Kan goes poof* I agree with Sloppy that abilities and powers shouldn't get treated like "oh, don't touch them they are attachments." People today are very very skeptical to near cynicism because of high awareness of frauds, so why not display your abilities if you've got any... make them into believers of the "spiritual"?

... Now ends the discussion on the reality of the photos unless people are gonna just call each other liars. .. . Thanks Pamelais for clearing things up!

Ok, so if ANYONE READING THIS HAS BECOME MORE FOND OF DAFA BECAUSE OF GAUSS'S PROPHECY POSTS, PLEASE REPLY... Because I really doubt this. And if there is no one who has, don't you think you need to seriously reassess your actions here? As for the rest of your points they have been argued well against, I think, with no avail, so....

Eye witness accounts of the spirit world

Gauss, I don't know if you have realized this already or not, but your advertisement and representation of Falun Dafa on this forum has turned a lot of people off from it, angered others and generally produced a negative image of your teacher and practice. You should create a poll thread to see who has engendered a more positive view on Falun Dafa after reading your posts, and I wouldn't be surprised to find...no one... So if what I say is true, then you're doing disservice to both your organization and practice with irrelevant prophecy posts, not doing much for people here either... probably massaging your own ego...

I think on that we can agree on .

That term true believer coined by Eric Hoffer is flat out ridiculed by sociologists. Yes Ralis, you just are not special. What can I say? You are just left out. Boo hoo!

I think you'll go. :P :P

Max once mentioned that Kan can be anywhere he wants. There are stories of Kan walking through walls. If he just "believes" that his body can manifest anywhere or walk through walls, then that's not just a belief. Either you are crazy, a complete liar, or telling the truth. You cannot "mistake" your body's disappearance nor can witnesses by "mistake" another body's disappearance. Anyways, I would like to hear people's opinions about the picture of the 16th Karmapa. Is he also a giant fraud? Or a deluded fool? Is he making fake photos too?

Wow. Yeah. Go on bitching and moaning. Finding a real master is always hard. Read through any story on enlightened master and sages. They spend years, decades under some master without knowing that he is legit without anything being shown to them. Seekers used to travel years for a certain teaching or to meet a teacher because they were that desperate for something more than the material world. Proof proof proof. I don't think you realize how risky it is for a master to subject himself to the scientific community if he is really legit. All sorts of shit would get involved and I doubt the government would want any sort of "miracle" proven to the public if it could lead to social upheaval.

If you can attend college, you can afford to take a seminar. Send an e-mail asking for a discount. Get work, save some money. No one will tell you that a spiritual master is GOOD. You need to take a leap and go. If you are disappointed, then whatever. You took your chance. None of these excuses will come out if you were truly passionate about exploring these things. You know the history of Max on this forum and the practice carries some legitimacy.

This argument is easily made the other way around. It's an old speech pattern: "this issue in our culture is overstating/understating, so beware". Shit like this gets no where. Be a scholar if you want, but it'll leave you crumpled over a chair, intellectualizing, doubting, again and again. Just practice like Scotty says, and see if the art works. You need a degree of faith in anything. But you also need caution yes, but you can't rationalize learning to ride a bicycle and actually learn.

yes. he. does.

When Martin Luthor King Jr. died, Thich Nhat Hanh burst into tears and prayer. I guess he should've just not been attached to sadness and sat there like a piece of broken log. Anyways, I'm not Vaj and really don't like bickering with you.

THEN WHY DON'T YOU GO FIND ONE???? GO STUDY UNDER A MASTER. GO TO MAX'S SEMINAR???? ASK HIM DIRECTLY.

This sounds awesome, but is absolutely unrealistic. Society and the establish hierarchy would quickly eliminate anyone posing such threats. You realize the revolution mentioned above would be catastrophic for the economy, religion, and social order in general right? There's a reason why people make people cough up thousands of dollars, why we all have to go through a worthless educational system, and why people are living as wage slaves. No way the system lets itself collapse because one guy supposedly turns into light.... Yeah and that's not gonna come by Max going in front of the public and demonstrating powers. It's gonna probably start from you and me collectively. This is one reason I practice and urge others to practice, evolution doesn't happen because of one guy. Jalus means immortality. So if what Max says is true, yes, he is immortal. According to Max, from what I've heard from him in a seminar, he has subjected himself to medical studies several times. He has MRI photos and x-rays of his body that are quite abnormal compared to a normal human being (I was with a doctor who examined them alongside). And yes, again you can call those pictures fake, Max a master photoshopper. He says he cannot check into normal hospitals anymore because they will confiscate his body. Of course it'll hurt his feelings. But why should he care too much about it? Should he care? I don't know. I'm not Max. I just feel the need to offer an opinion on this because I happen to devote time doing what he has taught. He probably does care because people who have never met him are turning potential students away through stupid unfound rumors like he is some reincarnation of a demon god blah blah. It hurts me too that the art he put out there gets a whole lot of baggage from people who have never practiced the art or met him or that people my age don't have the luck I do to have run into Kunlun and can only dream about the experiences in mystical books. I'm not going back and forth, emotions like these are complicated. They are by nature back and forth.

Even the Buddha discouraged teaching those who were not ready. It is an unnecessary burden. Let's say you have a medicine that could cure this patient but the patient vehemently refuses you and your cure. Calls you a fraud and an exploiter. How would you feel?

It depends on the individual, but Max has said for practices like the Sah breath, it can be as quick as 72 minutes to attain the body. Basically the potential for quick quick path is there, but whether or not a person can travel at that pace is difficult to say. The book recommends 6 months of diligent practice of level 1 before moving to level 2. I guess you can do that, but not many can break through level 1 at that speed. I tried doing level 2 too early, and nearly burnt myself; my body couldn't handle it. Yes, it's all good when it's fake. When it's fake you can go on stage and show it to the world. They will easily accept that it is fake and move on. But what if it's real? What if it's not fake? Then it completely changes people's mindsets about reality. It threatens their view of the world, their religion, and basically their life. Do you realize what kind of fucked up things will happen if someone suddenly went public and showed that he can become a light being? Be invisible? Fire stuff out of his hands? That they have super natural healing abilities? I imagine it'd be quite different than merely bending spoons. People will probably crucify him as the devil, the antichrist or whatever. Religions will be formed around him. There will be petitions, commercializations, yada yada. It'll be one giant mess if it is "scientifically proven." A magician, a liar. Scientists probably couldn't wait to dissect his body, put him through tests, all for the "progress" of humanity.

That's be the stupidest thing to do.
-
I'm not debating you. For the first year of practice when my mind was filled with doubt and uncertainty it took me a long time to begin to feel anything. I was sick often, had a few fevers, cried, had a lot of emotional difficulties and more. It's just the beginning of practice. I wish you luck.
-
Because there are practitioners like me who would be offended by him putting out such lies. I would rethink about continuing the practice even if it worked and whatnot, because it would show that there is a gaping hole in him as a teacher and until I find out why he put out such lies, I would drop out of his system. When I mentioned "people" I meant gossipers and speculators. Imagine you worked your entire lifetime on a certain craft and when sharing it with others for their own benefit, they call you a fraud and a liar. I certainly don't know how Max feels, but I would feel absolutely discouraged to share knowledge.

Kan is a gifted being and I wouldn't compare him to every other human being. Give it some time: it takes 8 to 9 months for a baby fetus to develop, another twenty years for him/her to becoming a mature adult. Kunlun has been out for only three four years. People practice for lifetimes and if you want to think in Buddhist terms, more than that. And it's not like people who practice are in seclusion devoting themselves to the art everyday. We are lay people and have our own stuff to do too. Just give it some time. .

Take a leap will ya?
