  1. The experts say you can't take it with you

Wisdom acquired in an altered state is not wisdom. . Meditation is not an addiction, it is living itself. There is no end. Practice and enlightenment are one.
  2. whistle blowing on breathing in the genitals

Hi Pietro, Did Bruce recommend a certain pathway in the legs?
  3. To let you and others see that this discussion will lead no where and discussions with you is pointless, that looking back on your profile is enough to show where this will eventually lead, that the topics have been covered over and over, and that this is not about the issues at hand, but about you.
  4. Why don't you just stop. It's very evident this type of discussion for you is no longer beneficial. Just fuels useless fire. You like coffee, I like tea. Now go on about your practice. I honestly don't know why you continue to post this topic just over and over again. What happens in these threads is you drop out. And it's clear you only selectively read other people's posts and don't really consider them. You spit out your views, write some wise ass comments, assert that you're right, make your views untouchable, and somewhere in there you write something like "oh just practice," or "oh you just don't understand." It's clear you won't change your views since you've made your self very clear on this forum many times what your stance is. And the more your assert yourself in this way, the more "your position" becomes solidified. It just continuously makes you cling to differences and identities. Actually this discussion does help others who read through them. But by this point, we've done it too many times for there o be any such benefit. So this thread is clearly about you and your continuing obsession with this topic and an unwillingness to truly delve into it. But Dwai, I love you
  5. After years of discussion, you haven't developed or changed much have you? What is the point of anymore discussions? The points you raised were covered in the span of hours and days. You're beating a dead horse. Really, what are you trying to prove? Why do you at all think this discussion is anymore fruitful? If you are very confident in your views, you wouldn't post this topic again and again. What are you trying to prove?
  6. Meditating on pain and suffering

  7. Meditating on pain and suffering

That's a good point Marblehead. Displaying caution is, as I see it, a clear way of distinguishing between values. Kind of like, you wouldn't be afraid of being burnt by hot water, but you use caution, because having a usable hand gives you better things to do then...displaying your courage in front of hot water! (ok, that wasn't such a good example, but you get the idea)
  8. Meditating on pain and suffering

I'm not sure what's with Drew's sudden litany of charges against PRC, but I was more or less getting at exploring directly our fears and revulsion with pain and suffering. Nothing brings these inner most fears to life as imagining the gruesome execution and torture methods, body mutilations, immense suffering, ghosts, demons, executioners... the "dark" stuff.... Look at the man in the Ling chi section being slowly cut to pieces. Or the man being sawed from the going upside down... It is incredibly powerful to let the following fears rise and pass away. Our bodily mortality, strong attachments to our flesh, all come rushing in. It is quite terrifying and stomache turning when in the dark these images become real to the mind. It sometimes paralyzes and the chill we often get can completely over take the body and unearth other deep seated fears to pain and suffering. It's a vicious cycle. again..the "dark" stuff... But imo, it's really something one has to face! Face yo FEARS! Good night and happy dreaming!
  9. Taoist alchemy CHANG LIU MING-help

Change is eternal... Change is change... Cognition is seeing permanence, which is delusion... Contrivance is seeing a doer or purpose, which is another delusion. Awareness is substance, when it is seen in all function, the function is enlightened by its light... my 2 cents
  10. Time to move on

    Really? That quickly?
  11. Knights Templar prophecy 900 years old...

    Gauss you silly goose!
  12. Prediction - who will make it and not...

Hi Gauss, Are you saying I should become a dead emotionless thing? What's wrong with feeling these emotions?
  13. Prediction - who will make it and not...

My experience shows full lotus has nothing to do with stretching. On the other hand, this shows your limited knowledge of how energetics govern the body. I mean, your practice is so inferior and diluted by mass practice and "commoner" knowledge. I really wouldn't know where to begin to explain to you how in higher practices these things are a piece of cake. But you wouldn't understand because you weren't chosen to come across such higher practices as mine. Look at me! I'm like..uh..so special! (Hey Star I'm just messin with you! I love you!!! )
  14. Shaktipat

Both of you are like... saying...the.. SAME THING.
  15. Shaktipat

This is my 2 cents. This is just a misunderstanding of language. I don't think the word source doesn't quite describe what either of you are describing. It could, but not the way we have learned the usage of the word "source" in our language. It's just an interpretation issue. @Vajrahridaya If we use the "source" to mean the interdependent matrix composed of each individual illusory formulation within the universe (like "chair" or "self" or "luminosity") arising from dependence, you can't deny that the word "source" does make sense. That we are a part of a greater interconnectivity of conditions upon conditions. That the arising manifestation of "now" comes from the "source" of infinite conditions. So it does make sense to say that all things, even the Buddha, arise from this source. We can even call this God. (UH OH, I see warning signals going off in your head!!) What you, I think, is objecting to is that this thing has an independent will to do something with creation, or that "He" created this in the first place. Or that it is even a "He." But what's wrong with interpreting it as the act of creation itself? So God = Creating (creation)? I'm pretty damn sure Vajrasattva does not think God as in the bearded white man in the sky. When you speak of the formless bliss realm of pure consciousness (or...whatever) as not the ultimate, well, than that's just a misunderstanding of the word, or the ultimatum of God. I don't get why you don't give room to other's own interpretations of these very concepts. The context surrounding the word could be very different from your own historical understanding. So in this view, we can try to accumulate our understanding of how dependence, the matrix of emptiness, of causes and conditions, of God, of harmony, of the Tao, work. This is how the Buddha preached the 12 inks, as an understanding of the process of dependence by which human life comes about. And science does this too. We can call the fundamental principe behind this a certain name. God, Love, Frog, Blah, Blah Blah, Gaga, Bada, Dependent Origination. It's just a name we give to the ultimate, the truth, the way everything is. And it will be the "source" and "at-one" with our very being NO MATTER WHAT, in the conceptual uses of those very words.
  16. Prediction - who will make it and not...

HAHA! I wasn't angry at all!! You got it wrong! So you spiritual path SUCKS at reading people!! HA!!! :P :P :P Attachment? Yea like attachment as in attachment to your oh dear GRORIOUS LEADER .
  17. The coming economic crisis

I disagree. This is addressed in Vimalakirti Sutra. It really doesn't matter if you are rich or poor. Or you meditate or not. Go to retreats or whatever. Liberation comes on its own accord, just as the Buddha was born a prince and found old age sad. Everyone has their part to play, like that old man did. Play it well! Cheers!
  18. A question for Vaj the Buddhist

    What's deepest actual nature?
