I have to say, I used to see eyes like this during meditation, but haven’t for a few years now. Not sure what it meant. However I do regularly see coloured clouds of mist like those posted. Sometimes with my eyes open during certain practices.

Hi @Strong&free, can you describe what qigong are you doing? In general I would say either do qigong or reiki, not both. That might be what’s causing you issues.

Yes, that is leave 1 in our practice: “Level 1 The 3 practices needed to activate the dantians ability to store qi, cultivate qi, ground your energy and start to open and fill the channels. Two of them are standing and one is sitting and requires about 40 mins a day. This first couple of years are laying the groundwork and getting your body ready for the advanced version of neigong taught in the second level and should be done for 1.5 years before learning more.”- 10 replies

I find that the qi that we cultivate in FP is much different than qi from other qigong systems, so you should be fine. Are you practicing any other qigong apart from FP?

@Neirong I also think a lot of people are missing the point of the thread. The original question was “Why were the highest spiritual teachings kept hidden/secret?” not “Should you learn from a teaching or random texts found online?” So, to answer the first question: 1) The average untrained person would not understand the importance of the teachings 2) The teaching could be dangerous to the average untrained person who’s body or mind is not developed enough to handle it 3) The teaching is kept hidden so the wrong people don’t abuse it and use it to harm others -

First of all this is incorrect. You have saints in the Orthodox Christianity, the Anglican Church and others. Even in other religions there are the similar concepts of “saints” like the Wali in Islam, Boddhisattva in Buddhism and Xian in Daoism. I won’t comment on the rest of the post. -

Yes, when you meet an actual “saint”, it is quite the paradigm shift realising that the stories of miracles (healing hands etc) are true. They aren’t miracles at all, but the results of many years of correct practice and mindset. I will never understand why people choose not to learn from a group that has already done the hard work of figuring out what practices are legit and what aren’t. It just wastes so much of your own time trying to figure everything out by yourself. Yes, surround yourself with people you can learn more from. To be fair, I believe some people are hard wired not to recognise legit teachings. No matter how much you try to help them or guide them to proper practices, they just don’t see the value in it.
