Does Qi cultivation supercharge human traits?
-ꦥꦏ꧀ ꦱꦠꦿꦶꦪꦺꦴ- replied to Sanity Check's topic in Daoist Discussion
Having a lot more qi in the right place will make you a more relaxed, grounded person. Having a lot more qi in the wrong place will make you more angry, irritable, less emotionally stable. -
Hi Chirising, Like @Miffymog said, you should do a mixture of static and moving practice to really get the benefits of these practices. I would go even further and say you should also add the seated practices from DVD 2, but doing the two dynamic practices from DVD 1 (Bending the Bows and Wind Above the Clouds) should help you out. Not sure if you’ve tried Monk Holds Peach but for a static meditation that one is quite powerful.

Well first maybe see a therapist to sort out your issues. Then afterwards get a good teacher. -

Well at least other people starting out now know what to avoid. Do you have a teacher now? What do you want to achieve from practice? -

If we don’t need a teacher to learn neidan, then he should post every step and instruction here. -
You don’t need to invent a martial art that can bring fantasy into reality, there are already many practices that will help you achieve unbelievable things. Here are the Grand Masters in some of the lineages I learn from:

Headache, daydreaming need help
-ꦥꦏ꧀ ꦱꦠꦿꦶꦪꦺꦴ- replied to Chang dao ling's topic in Daoist Discussion
Sometimes you don’t need to pay a therapist to understand something. If it was the case of repeated horrific violent scenes appearing unprompted then by all means, go see a therapist. But if it’s “I was daydreaming and one time it was violent” then I don’t think it’s so urgent as to waste your time and money going to a therapist. -

Best advice. But don’t even bother wasting money on a psychotherapist. It’s a literal daydream. Just your imagination. Nothing more, nothing less. Whatever violent thoughts came could be from something you saw on tv, a videogame you played or a book you read. -

I don’t think this fits in the Daoist section then -
Welcome! What cultivation are you currently doing? And what is your end goal for cultivation?

I’ve had this happen at a friend’s house too. Music started playing loud through a speaker that wasn’t plugged into the electric socket or into a laptop. No idea where the sound came from.

You are very lucky to have found a good system that works, at such a young age. Many people spend their entire lives doing practices that don’t work and achieve nothing. -

100% correct At the very least these things must really be experienced in person Videos are just good to spark people’s interest, but it’s up to you to find out for yourself what’s real and what’s not. Being dismissive of everything and just sitting at home on the computer won’t get you anywhere, you have to investigate for yourself. -

Probably a similar technique. Bagus the Leaf Man does Hindu practices so it doesn’t seem like something that’s just found in one religion. The interesting thing is how the emission of qi is different. With Sheikh Muhammad it comes out of his fingers on command, but with Master Jiang Feng and Master Zhou they guide the qi up from their lower dantian and out through the arm to the hands. -

Nice videos! Stigmata in the hands is actually a result of a blockage in your laogong. Here is a video of Sufi master Sheikh Muhammad zapping my wife with qi from his hands. He zapped me too, really powerful stuff. Here’s a video of him zapping some other members of Daobums (watch from 30 seconds onwards): Here are various masters from lineages (the late Master Jiang Feng and Master Zhou) that I follow emitting qi in different ways. I haven’t gone to see them in person, but a few of my friends have: This is a cool video of Bagus “the Leaf Man” emitting qi through a leaf: And another one of Bagus lighting up an LED light with his arm: -
