I would like to expand on this and say you not only shouldn’t read too much books when beginning cultivation, but not read up too much theory either. It doesn’t matter what happens later on in the path, learn the first step first. A lot of things won’t make any sense when you read them before experiencing anything, and sometimes you will try to force things if you read about them first. Practice, practice, practice, every day. That’s all you need to do.

But what was the need to insult her personally? She didn’t direct any insults directed to you specifically. She just made a general statement.

If you are so sure of your beliefs and practice then why get so upset when someone calls you delusional? If you are right then it doesn’t matter what others say.

Well, some are concerned with physical immortality, some with spiritual immortality, others with leaving the whole rebirth cycle completely. You can ask three different lineages the same question and get three different answers. Some can’t even agree with each other on where the real lower dantien is, so the best thing is just try a practice out, if it works for you then good. Do it and don’t concern yourself with other lineages. If it doesn’t work then drop it and try something else.

Na I’m joking. The goal depends from lineage to lineage, and person to person. Even the methods change too. Best to just find one that works for you and focus on that. The qigong and neigong that I do is more for healing myself and others, I’m not so concerned with immortality or invincibility.

The main goal of alchemy is to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.
