Like @Master Logray says, everyone will have a different answer depending on their system. In mine it’s a combination of standing neigong and seated stillness, both with abdominal breathing.
-
Ask your teacher. If you don’t have a teacher, then you don’t belong to a system.
-
This. It’s not a tiny point, it’s the entire lower abdomen area.
-
It’s not just being about to see what’s true or not. You start to physically feel what is good for you and what is bad when you consume things.
-
You should ask @zen-bear about it, he will be able to explain better than us.

Ah it’s not a proper TDB welcome without an argument in the comments section!

Nice experience @Klinsly! I find that every few months I have a similar experience with FP. A lot of the time I don’t feel much, then it will build up and I feel more energy and eventually have a long lasting experience of bliss after a session, then I won’t feel much again and the cycle repeats. I think it’s the body getting used to the energy then it grows until you get used to it again.

apology I finally understood the source of my anger and frustration toward Taoist and Taoism

I agree, 100%. I don’t think any method should be posted on this site. When I first started cultivating I went straight for upper dantien/third eye meditations and ended up with red vision in my left eye after following some Wang Liping pdf I found online. Lucky it went away the next day, but if it didn’t there would be no one to help me fix it. If you want to try something, take the risk yourself, don’t post instructions that could get someone else to damage themselves unknowingly.

Yes, not only this but I doubt he even knows what effects his method will have on practitioners, let alone how to fix any problems that may arise. Doesn’t seem like he cares what happens to anyone who follows his method.

Very good points @Jenn. Another question for @Sleepy Bluejay would be how are you going to fix any problems that someone who tries your method develops? If they get a qi deviation or worse, will you be able to help them get better?

Siddhi - The mundane is the same as the mystical
-ꦥꦏ꧀ ꦱꦠꦿꦶꦪꦺꦴ- replied to just a dream's topic in Welcome
Don’t bother with him, he has nothing of value to add. He just goes into threads to argue with people. As you have just shown, he hasn’t even read the links he posted. Just continue the discussion as if he’s not here so it doesn’t get derailed. -
I know Sam Harris has a meditation app after decades of bashing religion. What’s Dawkin’s current grift?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

Yea, good luck to anyone who wants to try his method. If you want to go top down, learn from people who have been doing it for thousands of years, not someone who made up a technique in a few weeks.
-
See you next week!
-
Also this Shen-Qi-Jing top down approach is nothing new, the Xiao Yao Pai do this method for their practice. Search for them in other threads to learn more or ask @effilang or @zerostao about it, they will be able to help.

That was a fast 5-10 years!
