@Partez you are in Sydney? If you are ever in Singapore for whatever reason head to Dr. Ho’s clinic. He does faqi (emitting electric qi) as part of his treatment. One of my friends paid him a visit a few years ago. There are a lot of people in Indonesia that do it but I can’t vouch for them since I haven’t personally been or know anyone who has but Bagus the Leaf Man in Bali is probably the most famous if you can track him down.
-
Exactly, go and see for yourself. Don’t just take anyone’s word for it if it is or isn’t real, you are your own person. Check for machines, have someone watch or film you getting it done so they can spot any funny business going on. It’s pointless speculating online. I went to see an Indonesian healer in London who did cupping and also emitted electric qi for treatment. His method was more similar to Pak John’s treatment than Rudi and Master Zhou’s style. He was barefoot, didn’t have a wet towel under his feet. Was able to emit electric qi into me and my wife in different areas in the room so it’s not something where he had to be in a specific spot for it to work. Being skeptical is great, but use that skepticism wisely and do your own investigation, don’t just listen to people who post google translated texts or Wikipedia articles and take their word for it. It’s much better to investigate something yourself and maybe find out it’s a fraud then it is to miss out on a great opportunity for something new just because strangers on the internet told you it’s fake.
-
Forgot to mention earlier but the point of emitting “electric qi” is for medical purposes. If you check out these videos that I posted earlier they show and explain some of the process. It might interest you as an acupuncturist.
-
Healthy skepticism is a good thing, but it’s a shame to not have an open mind and not explore the possibilities. You will miss out on so much by dismissing everything. Better to at least try to see if something is real for yourself than dismiss it completely because of what someone else thinks.
-
It’s something that you should really experience in person to be convinced. Quite an amazing feeling.
-
No at this point it’s trolling. Every single thread this guy pops up, so I’m calling him out on it. What becomes an opportunity for people to learn always descends into a shit show when he’s around, and I’m tired of it, so are many others. @daoboy makes a very good point here that can also be applied to Taoist Texts. I’m not even convinced he’s even a teacher or has any students, every time he’s asked about it we get nothing from him except vague non answers. Are there any students of his on Daobums? Do we know his background? If someone chooses to spend their time going to every thread of a practice they don’t follow, they better be able to back up what they say. In this case we’ve had nothing from him in multiple threads. As far as I’m concerned he’s just fantasist using google translate on old documents who is larping as a teacher. This is a very bold claim, I don’t think I’ve seen any other teacher say this on Daobums before, so again, if he is so sure that what he does is correct and every other teacher is a scammer, show us those exact guaranteed results or stop posting.
-
Ok, so you have nothing that you can show us. I understand clearly now. I just think that as a teacher you should be put under the same scrutiny that you show towards other teachers. Especially since you’ve been so vocal about Rudi and many other teachers in many other threads. You came into this thread first. I didn’t force you to come in here and post. So since you are here, either make your case since you finally have a teacher of these methods to talk to, or get out. Anything else is quite cowardly, really.
-
So what are these exact results that you guarantee? Show them. So if you have nothing more to say on it, don’t bother commenting on the subject. Either man up and prove your point once and for all, or go away. The ball is in your court, but you would rather sit on the sidelines instead of actually trying to score. You came in guns blazing, but when the guy you were criticising showed up in the thread, you are quiet as a mouse to him and prefer to argue with his student. What happened? Where is all that bravado? Are you even going to ask one simple question?

You might be interested in these videos from students and people who have been on the medical and training trips. Some of them have Master Zhou Gan Sheng in them: Not sure if you've seen the website too as lots of the info you said wasn't available is all there: https://authenticneigong.com/

Oh I can answer it, don't worry. I just thought as a teacher yourself you would want to hear it from a fellow teacher instead of a mere student. After all from what you've said in the past it seemed like you were an expert on the subject. From what you've said in previous threads: https://www.thedaobums.com/topic/55051-electric-chi/?tab=comments#comment-1012507 https://www.thedaobums.com/topic/55051-electric-chi/?page=2&tab=comments#comment-1015226 You seem very sure about these claims. I thought you would be glad for the opportunity to test them with a teacher of these methods. Yet you haven't even asked him anything. Strange. Almost as if you are scared of being proved wrong.
-
Don’t ask me, ask 小梦想. You have an expert here, take this opportunity.
-
If you want to ask questions about a practice that actually works, nows your chance. Maybe you will learn something.
-
You know, instead of guessing, you could learn from people who already know how it works. There are thousands of years of knowledge being passed on from master to student. Might be better to learn from someone who knows than to try and figure it out yourself and waste 5 to 10 years doing either something that doesn’t work, or something that does harm to you. Anyway good luck on your journey.

How do you personally meditate?
-ꦥꦏ꧀ ꦱꦠꦿꦶꦪꦺꦴ- replied to Sleepy Bluejay's topic in Daoist Discussion
Be careful of third eye/upper dantian meditations if your lower and middle dantians plus channels aren’t fully developed and open yet. When I started out I went straight to third eye/upper dantian meditations and thought they were quite cool, but then one time the vision in my left eye became red. Like I was looking through a red screen filter. Really weird, it stayed like that until I went to sleep and woke up the next day. After that I stopped playing around and random meditations I found online, I got some teachers and followed what they taught. There is a reason that most traditions start with the lower body then works up to middle and then upper body. If you don’t know what you are doing, best not to do them. Better to learn from someone who can guide you.- 64 replies

1) Sit cross legged on floor with back straight 2) Put hands in dhyana mudra by LDT, left hand on top of right hand if you are male, right hand on top of left hand if you are female 3) Touch roof of mouth with tongue 4) Close eyes 5) Focus entirely on LDT, nothing else 6) Inhale through nose, exhale through nose 7) Breathe as deep as you can, into your lower abdomen below your navel 8) When you inhale, extend your stomach out, when you exhale, pull it back in 9) Continue for at least 10 minutes 10) If you have any thoughts pop up, just ignore them and let them go away, don’t try to actively suppress any from coming up. Keep focus on LDT area, they will leave eventually. 11) Do this twice a day, preferably soon after you wake up and before you sleep- 64 replies

Feedback about 小梦想's neigong seminar?
-ꦥꦏ꧀ ꦱꦠꦿꦶꦪꦺꦴ- replied to Earl Grey's topic in General Discussion
Sorry for the late late reply. Some students are already able to faqi with assistance. -
I wish you the best of luck then
-
Go check them out in real life then. That’s all the convincing you will ever need when you experience it in person.
-
You can try to get on one of the trips to see Master Zhou (in this video from 1:30 onwards) for faqi treatment but it can be quite expensive. Contact Rudi from authenticneigong.com I went to see Sheikh Muhammad who does similar treatments with electric qi. He was based in London but I think he’s back in Indonesia now, I’ve lost touch with him but would have recommended to see him. £50 session which is a bargain. Watch the video from 30 seconds onwards. There is a similar master in Singapore called Dr. Ho who also does faqi treatments with electric qi. Here is the address of his clinic, not sure what his prices are. Haven’t been to see him myself but I know people who have. Next time I’m in Singapore I will go.
-
@Maddie have you tried to find masters in real life? It’s much easier than you think to find someone who has cultivated to a high level and can do things not considered normal by most of the world. Don’t listen to people who live perpetually online or only read books, go out in the world and you will find extraordinary things.
-
I prefer it over DVD because I can quickly look at the video on a phone/laptop to refresh my memory when I’m away from my living room or house. Price isn’t really an issue over convenience for me plus it is a good way to support Sifu Terry’s hard work.
