  1. On the nature and utility of 'goal posts' in meditative and energetic practice

If you experience it for yourself it’s one of the few things that will completely convince you that what we are doing here is all real. As for what good it will do to you, it allows you to perform the service of healing others, and that in itself should make you happier.
  2. Recommendable and not legit systems

Yes I’ve seen this video posted so many times, yet there is never any written report posted about the findings. Anyway it doesn’t matter to me because I believe what he is doing is real. However have you personally ever experienced faqi in real life? If you have you will know that it’s not just Pak John who can do it. It’s even found in non Daoist traditions too.
  3. Recommendable and not legit systems

What evidence did he provide specifically that makes him stand out more than others? Also nowadays you can learn how to do this at a decent price.

    Do you believe faqi exists?
  5. Recommendable and not legit systems

There are many other systems where you can learn this without the risk and racism

She can’t walk because of too much dirty qi in her lower abdomen. Yuk I can smell it from here. 由于小腹脏气太多,她不能走路。 我能从这里闻到它的味道。

  15. Hello!

It could be, my chi gong teacher recommends doing it for at least 10 minutes when you finish your chi gong session so the energy will settle and return to your lower abdomen. I also find if I have rising chi and feel heat in my chest, head and ears if I do seated stillness meditation it helps to bring it down.

Hi Alexa! Are you ending your chi gong sessions with seated stillness?
  18. 100 Days of practice/to persevere or not

I wouldn’t say I’ve had much spiritual effects so far, but definitely keeps me in a good mood and my memory is better. I’ve been practicing it for a year so still relatively early.

Authentic Neigong by Rudi is perfect for that. Simple practices that won’t take up too much of your day and the qi plus activated dantian that you will get from it will really help you with anything you do in the future https://authenticneigong.com/

First I would say you should decide what your goals are, and then find a good teacher who will help lead you their. What do you want to gain out of your practice?

I thought meditation apps were silly enough but now they have meditation in VR! I wonder what the potential risks are of meditating with an electric box strapped to your face

  25. 100 Days of practice/to persevere or not

@gekko I would recommend you try Flying Phoenix, you can check the website here for the supposed benefits: http://www.taichimania.com/chikung_catalog.html The benefits I have seen so far (in a year of practice) is: - better eyesight - less body pain/aches (this is very important for me because I work 12 hour shifts and stand all day at work) - no cold/flu since starting practice - better sleep, usually wake up a few mins before my alarm - less stress, less anger. I’m not immune to stress or anger but they only affect me for less than a minute then my mood is back to normal - once during practice I felt extreme bliss take over my body What I have been taught as well is to always end your qigong sessions with at least 10 minutes of seated stillness This is a very important point. You need to master breathing in your lower abdomen.
