First of all the problem with your argument is people are born gay and can’t change it, no one is born right wing or left wing. Second of all the complete irony is that it would most likely be a right wing leaning university that would discriminate against homosexuals. Also it so hard to discuss how to fill the LDT without telling everyone who you voted for in the last election?

How are the practices compared to others?

I don't understand why people need to bring politics into everything. Why should it matter if you are right wing, left wing, centrist, whatever, we are talking about cultivation, scripture, practices, etc. Leave your politics at the door, we have the entire internet for that.

    Yes
  5. Tien Shan Qigong

He had some back and forth Youtube video and Facebook arguments with that particular student that were public so they might still be up somewhere but the group for the class is gone. It's a shame really, he was building a lot of momentum and could have had lots of regular students. It looked promising for him as a teacher. There might be more to it that happened but this is all I saw from the public side of things. Hope he manages to get out of it soon

I agree. He seems to be a loose cannon as well. Last year he accepted a lot of students and they had a pretty active group on social media, then suddenly out of nowhere he falls out with his top student and calls him a fraud then deletes his class's facebook group and stopped teaching them as far as I know.

You can try Flying Phoenix, its quite easy to learn and relatively cheap too. Either get the DVDs or have group or private zoom lessons with Sifu Terry.
  9. Hello everyone

Welcome! You can access the Flying Phoenix thread here: I do both Flying Phoenix and Authentic Neigong, I started FP first then joined Authentic Neigong around a month later. Right now I would say my daily practice of FP is up to an hour to an hour and a half, but you can do less if you like. I would say half an hour to 45 mins is quite reasonable.

Thanks for the thorough reply, I was joking about the demon!

If I had anything of value to offer I wouldn't need the demon's help!

Which demon did you make a pact with? I want to join

I always wondered about this. There’s no way hundreds of people could all be faking their speaking in tongues or weird behaviour.

  19. Greetings fellow bums

Hey! What qigong have you tried out?
  20. Hello.

    Welcome!
  21. Which of these systems is good to start?

This one is very good. You can do it standing up, seated and also lying down. Remember to keep your tongue touching the roof of your mouth throughout the entire practice, breathe in and out through your nose only, and end with three deep breaths then exhale through your mouth with the final breath. Do it for a least 5 minutes, the longer the better.

Hi Sifu Terry, I had an interesting experience today during Wind Above the Clouds. At the end when my arms are raised forward in front of me and I push them down I heard the wall mounted tv in front of me make a sound as if gently hit by something, like a small breeze or burst of energy. Is this an intended side effect? I will try again tomorrow to see if it happens again. Regards, Jonathon
