  1. Help with Zi Fa Gong

Don’t bother with this. @tianzhang if it’s the circle walking causing it, just stop doing it for a while and see if it helps
  2. Help with Zi Fa Gong

Ah ok, hopefully someone here who does baguazhang can chime in
  3. Help with Zi Fa Gong

Maybe give up the circle walking if it’s not doing you any good. Is it part of your baguazhang or xingyiquan training or something extra?
  4. Help with Zi Fa Gong

That’s not a good sign, you ideally need a teacher who knows exactly what the strange phenomenon is
  5. Help with Zi Fa Gong

May I ask what your teachers have said about it?
  6. Help with Zi Fa Gong

Ah I can’t help you there as I don’t do any circle walking unfortunately. Hopefully someone else has some good advice for you
  7. Help with Zi Fa Gong

No, if it’s still happening, there is still work to be done. Just carry on as normal
  8. The four kinds of Chi to be cultivated in Qigong

From Chinese Qigong Therapy - Zhang Mingwu
  9. Help with Zi Fa Gong

In my opinion you should just let it happen. In my experience the healthier you are, the less spontaneous movements you have. Your TCM doctor gave good advice to focus on the lower dantien. You can try this healing qigong that I do, it can be done standing, sitting or lying down. It does create some spontaneous movements but is more controlled than other systems: Just ignore the part about the ginger

  11. The Book That Changed Your Life - What Was It?

Same here, makes it more relatable
  12. The Book That Changed Your Life - What Was It?

Ok mods I am being 100% genuine and not trolling at all here don’t ban but the book that changed my life was The Magus of Java After reading that I couldn’t believe what was written was actually real, which led me on my journey to find out Of course there are many books which would be better, but this was the one that started everything for me
  13. The Book That Changed Your Life - What Was It?

I don’t normally revive necro threads but this will be useful for everyone.
  14. Brahmakumari Sister Shivani’s 5-second rule before drinking water

So, similar to praying before eating?
  15. Two of the types of Qi in Tai chi

    Would this be wei qi?
  16. The four kinds of Chi to be cultivated in Qigong

Ah, na too much work. I will just go with the downvote option in the future! Save us all the trouble
  17. The four kinds of Chi to be cultivated in Qigong

    Is a joke
  18. The four kinds of Chi to be cultivated in Qigong

Um actually chi doesn’t only come from the breath of these turtles and there are more than 4 of them
  19. The four kinds of Chi to be cultivated in Qigong

I did with a source, but the point was ignored or not realised
  20. The four kinds of Chi to be cultivated in Qigong

I’m sorry but can we at least change the title of this thread to “The four kinds of Chi to be cultivated in Qigong (OPINION)” or “The four kinds of Chi to be cultivated in (Specific Type of Qigong)” as there is not only four kinds in every qigong system? Or even simply “Types of Chi to be cultivated in Qigong” Such absolute statements are misleading for newcomers wishing to learn.
  21. The four kinds of Chi to be cultivated in Qigong

    I liked this
  22. The four kinds of Chi to be cultivated in Qigong

Exactly. If posts were started with “In my opinion…” there would be no issue.
  23. The four kinds of Chi to be cultivated in Qigong

My only problem is when people speak like an authority about things they don’t know about. Many people are guilty of it on this site though.
  24. The four kinds of Chi to be cultivated in Qigong

A lifetime of practice and study but not the ability to feel qi? Many people accomplish that in less than a lifetime.
  25. The four kinds of Chi to be cultivated in Qigong

Maybe the real qi is the friends we make along the way
