What is behind the compulsion to be correct? Ego?
Lairg replied to natural's topic in General Discussion
I am not sure that is true. How many millions dying of cancer will try a different philosophy of medicine and health? To do that would be to cast doubt on their decades of belief in doctors and pharmaceuticals. Who even knows that they are following the Germ Theory of Disease? Better just to die believing that they have done their best. A local woman with a breast lump, believing, had both breasts removed. She would not discuss with me alternative approaches - believing very strongly in her doctors. She had various stays in hospital of up to a week dealing with the infections from the surgery. Of course the cancer returned and with various bouts of chemo, she could hardly walk and needed to pull around an oxygen cylinder. After 6 months of very low quality of life, she was back walking freely and with hair regrowing. After all that, when I discussed alternatives with her, she was a good deal more tolerant - but still not willing to practice any. -

Until just before first stage enlightenment the human persona (mask) is largely operated by an entity that can be called the Personal Will. The highest asset of the PW is self-esteem. Thus it will maintain its self-belief at the cost of physical health and emotional relationships. It most certainly does not wish to be proven wrong The PW operates the defence systems for the human, forcing the human to get its act together - to protect the PW. At first stage enlightenment the PW changes from defence to creativity. -
The human's library of existing beliefs and images filters incoming thoughts. When I changed from science to economics I was amazed. Many times each day I would start to act based on taught beliefs and would stop in amazement at the stupid things I believed. I had a repeated sense of falling without solid beliefs to hold me. That lasted 9 months - but a few years later I started the second round of discarding stupid beliefs.

Is the "lost word" a metaphor? For example Doris Lessing refers to the energy line that linked Earth to Heaven being broken

Gautama was/is an historic figure. Jesus the Christed One is a bit more difficult as, for example, the crucifixion with eclipse astronomically puts the event at around 1000 AD - unless of course it was not in Palestine Further, why was it necessary to pay 30 pieces of silver (enough for a commercial clay deposit) to identify a man who had been preaching in public for 3 years? I rather think the view of Jesus is a composite.
-
When I look at Gautama just now I see primarily gold with blue and violet at the top and a line of red right at the very bottom where he interfaces with Earth humanity. It seems an uncomfortable interface but duty calls

>Alice Bailey seems like a Crowley-style character It seems that you have not read much in that area. > the "Tibetan's" material doesn't really bear any relation to Tibetan Buddhism or the Bon traditions Quite so. He was apparently responsible for much of the Blavatsky material - giving her a vision of documents were no longer extant, and providing a lot of telepathic input. Similarly for Bailey and quite a number of more recent writers > Is the Tibetan secretly Crowley? Is that a serious question? Compare their content and writing styles! >The real Tibetan secrets (or any Buddhist school) are always in plain sight. Perhaps the planet has moved on. Sanat Kumara is not a human - and does not originate in this galaxy. I think you have much to discover.

The suffering of children is often caused not by their illusion but rather that of their parents. What human suffering might be caused by the illusions of the Planetary Logos? Does every proposition need a context? You can certainly find accounts but not details of planetary and solar systemic karma. Mainly I stick with my own observations https://firethebeacon.com/2018/04/24/karma/ https://www.lucistrust.org/online_books/a_treatise_on_cosmic_fire_obooks/section_two_the_fire_mind_solar_fire/division_thought_elementals_and_fire_elementals/ii_thought_elementals_and_devas/3_the_solar_angels_the_agnishvattas_part3 I quite like dowsing - and I test propositions on the inner planes but that requires some skills and permissions and is best done with peer review

Is that really a non-dualist perspective? Is his trust separate from the energy? Is that dualist? Why does the non-dualist need to do anything?
-
A reasonable definition but still human-centric Imagine that the solar system has its own karma. Many of the kingdoms of Creation/Existence need to participate in the learning process. And some kingdoms take longer than others to learn For example the mineral kingdom on Earth was in pain for some billions of years before it decided to move on - in about 2017 - and all because it did not like the current entity being in the position of Planetary Logos
-
Definition seems to me to be an excessively limiting mental process. For example, what is the nature of love in the mineral kingdom? Does it conform to human-centric concepts of love. The essence of compassion as reflected in humans may be in a softness and openness of the heart energies Of course if Existence is real and has purpose, then perhaps the human may also contribute to the outworking of that Intent. As it seems this is the second manifestation of our Solar Logos, the current solar system is being used to extend the experience of that Logos in the development of right relationship. In which case, compassion would need to be accompanied by learning and boundary processes
-
So if we are not functional, are we decorative?
-
I am not sure unlimited compassion is wise. Perhaps there are other qualities of divinity that are needed to balance compassion

I have had some experiences that indicate that during the mahapralaya there is only Beingness and eventually Beingness decides to experience separated Existence. Spirit and matter, intelligences and universes thus are manifested for a purpose and apparent dualities arise. For example humans see spirit and matter as a duality. Does the Is-ness of humans emerge in Beingness or Existence? If in Beingness then the Is-ness of humans is always non-dual.

The point of my question is that the spiritual scientist is necessarily dualistic in order to test whether a construct/action/entity is closer to the Real or to the Unreal So does the practice of spiritual science prevent awareness merging into the Oneness of All?
-
I like to do energy tests - for example on whether a statement/belief is acceptable to Reality. Does this mean that I am dual?
-
If you say so.

The kingdom of heaven is within the human. Unfortunately the anchoring energy is in the heart so most humans take quite a few lives to find it
-
As the saying goes: the kingdom of heaven is within

I hardly need point out that the ancient Egyptians thought the heart more important than the brain. These days we know that the heart has brain-like neurons https://exploringyourmind.com/the-heart-has-neurons-too/ So if we rise up the planes the flows of: - physical-etheric energies are focused in the pelvis - emotional energies in the solar plexus - mental energies in the brain and front parts of the head - buddhic energies through the heart - atmic (spiritual will) energies through the base and back of the skull - monadic (Spirit in humans) energies just above the top of the skull The base of the spine is used for cosmic earth connections - in women that have given birth naturally and in first stage enlightenment. Humans start with controlling the effects of the lower planes and slowly work their way up to mental and even heart energies.

The etheric part of the subtle body can be seen fairly easily. Find a matt black surface and hold a hand over it. The etheric body can be seen as a blue-shadow outline about 1/16 of an inch away from the flesh. Rub the hands together then hold them over the black surface and slowly pull them apart watching the etheric substance I had a friend come back from a missing-time walk on Mt Shasta and her etheric body was displaced by a couple of inches. She did not want it fixed and at the next group meditation she said that an energy came into the "gap" between her physical and etheric bodies and then the etheric body aligned. I could see the alignment but I did not understand what was the energy that entered and why it waited until then

What do women say? Perhaps all is heart. Perhaps there is much beyond heart

When I look at humans with dementia, it looks like the brain connects to the mind through an etheric interface that is a bit like honeycomb in color and structure. In the dementia cases I have examined, the interface layer has become loose so that the mind has limited connection to the brain. Sometimes it is possible to reconnect some of that interface - depending upon various factors including scheduled reincarnation

My own view is that emotional suffering is for softening the heart. Voluntary physical suffering has little value other than traumatising the sacral chakra entity

The concept of spirit and matter results from the point of view. The entity immersed in low frequency substance (e.g. mental and emotional) sees spirit as being remote. The source of spirit however sees matter as the end of its fingertips - the outermost extent of its body of manifestation The terms spirit and matter are frequency/density descriptions and refer to a spectrum view of the one Existence
