Does Anyone Know Where I Can Find More of This Guy's Videos?
Dai Zhi Qiang replied to LookingForAnswer366's topic in Daoist Discussion
Don't even bother, this is Fugazi, you cannot make yourself taller from meditating or practising, chi kung. I had a look at his video's quickly, they show nothing of value, you are much better off, finding a legitimate teacher to study under. DZQ -
戴氏心意拳 Dai Shi Xin Yi Quan (ask me anything)
Dai Zhi Qiang replied to Dai Zhi Qiang's topic in General Discussion
Jiang Yu Shan, seems to be the 1st person who comes to mind. I politely tried to start up a conversation with him, regarding, DXYQ and who he learnt from (I have never, ever heard of anyone migrating to Taiwan to teach or of him going and spending time with anyone there, as in Qi Xian, Shanxi) and he got very defensive and refused to answer anything. That is a massive red flag in my opinion. DXYQ is not a widespread type of Kung Fu, it is generally taught in 1 specific place of origin (Qi Xian, Shanxi) and I am aware of who is practising it outside of China (Japan, Russia, USA, NZ etc) I don't have a problem people teaching themselves from videos etc if that is what they want to do, but I do have a problem with people doing this and then trying to charge unsuspecting victims, literally thousands of USD. In a thread a while back, I commented on someone who said he had paid for JYS's "internal / external chi kung course" and he recommended standing in "squatting monkey" for a hour and was talking about opening up the microcosmic orbit LOL. For one, you are dreaming if you think you can sit in squatting monkey for an hour. The main objective of that exercise is to develop dantian and in time, be able to use, dantian to drive the force of the limbs etc, this obviously takes years of gruelling practice. I have seen him on videos attempting to demonstrate some of the DXYQ movements and there is glaring faults everywhere. I don't care about his "monkey king" status, that is also another story in itself. Just leave, DXYQ alone LOL DZQ- 6 replies

戴氏心意拳 Dai Shi Xin Yi Quan (ask me anything)
Dai Zhi Qiang replied to Dai Zhi Qiang's topic in General Discussion
I did not really come here to bash anyone else, but if you ask my honest opinion about the quality of his movements and some of the statements, he is making, then that is not how I was taught it or understand it. For one Dai Xin Yi Quan is NOT a Taoist art, there is no substantial proof to prove any of this. I know he is promoting himself as some Taoist master, so of course he is going to embellish things to suit his needs. Also his statement that, "Bagua Xin Jing", is the highest practice in Dai style to be honest is surprisingly as for one, I have never, ever heard anyone, anywhere in Qi Xian, Shanxi, refer to these moves by this name, it is actually called "Mojing Mojing" which means polishing and wiping mirrors and is just one of the basic, jibenkung, movements. (I might add, it is a very good practice if done properly) His teacher, Zhao Shourong is legit, but as you can read and listen in the video, he does not call that "Mojing Mojing - Bagua Xin Jing, this is Zhongxian Wu's addition. Sure you can call the preparatory movement (before movement) Wuji Zhuang, if you want to and Taiji (as you start to move) but this has no connection to Taoism, it is just borrowing the terminology. DXYQ is not a Taoist system of spiritual practice it is a martial art, self development is a by product, not the focus. https://chinesewisdomtraditions.com/dai-family-xinyi/ (the history is so horribly wrong, I don't know where to start) I would not waste your time or money on this DVD and would seek out proper instruction. If you are interested, you can always pm me and I can point you in the right direction.- 6 replies

戴氏心意拳 Dai Shi Xin Yi Quan (ask me anything)
Dai Zhi Qiang replied to Dai Zhi Qiang's topic in General Discussion
Yes, it is an internal art, so naturally all of it's principles have, Nei Kung as the foundation. We also have spefic, Nei Kung sets, practiced in conjunction with the basic, jibenkung (foundation work)- 6 replies

Hi, I wanted to spread awareness of 戴氏心意拳 Dai Shi Xin Yi Quan (Dai family heart -invention boxing) as I see a lot of misrepresentation recently being spread through certain individuals, who I am not even aware of being certified or holding lineage in this art. I would like to give individuals an opportunity to ask me questions regarding the art and how to practice it as well as where to go to find proper instruction. I will give you the link to my blog, where you can read some of the articles I have had translated over the years, so you can get a basic introduction ans understanding of the art. ww.daixinyi.blogspot.com Feel free to ask anything on here or send me anything in pm. warm regards Dai Zhi Qiang

brother it takes 3 months of practice or more and you need to retrain for sexual activity for that time. It takes a experienced teacher and it would help if you have a few years regular practice in other, chi kung 1st.

Bingo. Holding the breath is never advised, it raises the blood pressure and does nothing in regards to internal development. I will tell you a funny story which happened to me. I was studying, Xinyiliuhequan, with a master, based in Xian, who was a student of Yan Xianlin (big name in XinYi world). The teacher I was learning from had "iron head" and we asked him how he developed it, he replied and said he would teach us this, chu kung, which basically was clenching the fists in a forward stance and holding the breath. After practising for a few minutes and feeling light in the head, we spoke between ourselves and questioned the authenticity of what he was showing us as it went against all the principles of what we had previously been taught. So my friend at the time, called the teachers son and asked him how his dad developed this attribute. He replied and said his father every day would press his head against a tree haha, so yeh the old devil was taking the piss. DZQ -

Zhongxian Wu's Dai Xin Yi Quan is his own interpretation and not indicative of how it is practiced in Qi Xian, Shanxi. I know because I have visited there numerous times and have practiced this art for many years. In Dai Xin Yi Quan, you never, ever hold the breath, that is absolutely against the natural principles. Dai Xin Yi Quan is also NOT a Taoist martial art, this is also Zhongxian Wu's addition and it plays into his whole Taoist system, which ifjudging by his Dai Xin Yi Quan is not probably, made up or not learned properly. It has pretty much been debunked that Bodhidharma, was not the origin of Chinese Martial arts (CMA's have existed for thousands of years in some shape or form before he came to China) as for the Yi Jin Jing and Xui Sui Jing, this is also the same. Bodhidharrma was the 1st patriarch of Cha'n Buddhism in China and like the 28th patriarch of Mahayana sect Buddhism, he left behind the "Bloodline Sutra", Lankavatara etc. As for the "dun hou shi" comment, DHS is not practiced outside, Dai Xin Yi Quan, so I don't know where you got that information from? -
My experience with Jiang Yu Shan (Hisham al-Haroun)
Dai Zhi Qiang replied to Nuralshamal's topic in Systems and Teachers of
Hi, I don't really want my 1st post to come across as confrontational or demeaning in any way as I understand, you do not have access to any Dai Xin Yi Quan, teachers to confirm what you are learning is legitimate or not, but it has been brought to my attention, that Jian Yu Shan is promoting himself as some sort of Dai Xin Yi Quan, teacher, which I believe is unconfirmed and most probably not true. I have tried speaking to him nicely on a few occasions and he refuses to disclose who he learnt for and for how long and got all aggressive and standoffish with me. As far as I know, there is no lines of Dai Xin Yi Quan, teaching in Taiwan (or have taught) and I never heard him learning from anyone in China (this also goes for his Xin Yi Liu He Quan). Dai Xin Yi Quan is taught predominantly in Qi Xian (Qi county), Shanxi, China, not elsewhere and it is not a widespread style, it is only practiced within a pretty small group. There are a few practitioners outside China (in NY, there is Li Tai Liang and affiliates, teaching, Xin Yi Dao, which is a DXYQ hybrid / Che Shi Xing Yi Quan) etc. Now onto the topic of "dun hou shi" squatting monkey. 1 hour is very long time to spend during "dun hou shi" for a beginner and it is even considered a long time for a more advanced student. I am not sure how you are practising it, but if it is anywhere like I have seen him teaching those, Vahva guys, then it is completely wrong. I had been contacted by someone who had paid the outrageous $2,000 USD for his online "internal and external Qi Kung course" and he did mention it was just some videos, which you watch and then imitate it, there was no mention of him sending in video or getting hands on critique of his practice, not that it would matter if he had not learnt it legitimately in the 1st place. As for the statement regarding the "Xiao Zhao Tian" this is also not really correct either, but I had asked this question, specifically to my, Shifu - Yan Long Chang and he gave me a very vague answer, saying that it may open naturally, when I asked him about the orthodox way of using sitting meditation and internal energy circulation, which IMHO, is the only guaranteed way of doing it. If there anything specific you would like to know about, Dai Xin Yi Quan, then feel free to ask me ask me. Jon Dyer aka Dai Zhi Qiang
