Since one of the San Sha is the horse does that indicate anything for someone with a horse pillar in their bazi chart (I was born during a horse month)?

No special breathing aside from trying to keep the breath quiet and calm. No particular concentration either unless I feel a point of tension and I try to breathe into it to relax. I don’t think so about it being a sickness, I feel pretty normal otherwise. Been exercising eating etc. normally.

I have a book by Damo on Neigong which I reference but my main inspiration has been Lam Kam Chuen on YouTube (Stand Still, Be Fit). Do you suggest I don’t itch at all? Because I think it’s possible, the itching isn’t that intense unless I feel more aggravated emotionally but I’ve had the itching for almost a week now (though I have been itching it pretty consistently as well). I thought there might be something I could do to assist what I assume is some kind of detoxification process.

I was probably a bit more forceful a couple of weeks ago pushing through some deep tension in my calves but lately I’ve been very relaxed, just sinking into the posture naturally and letting my body slightly adjust itself as time goes on. I usually end up in Zhan Zhuang by the end of the practice, maybe 10 min with hands in front of the chest, it seems to relieve some tension I have in the shoulder blades. I generally come out of the practice feeling refreshed and with some deeper understanding. I believe I am progressing. I will say I used to experience more warmth after the practice but now I actually feel more cold. I am always warm during the practice though. Also the itching never happens while I’m in it. The itching is interesting though. It feels like a mosquito bite in that if I resist the urge to itch it feels less itchy but if I itch it, it feels more so and makes me feel itchy in other parts of my body. As of right now the itching has spread to my neck, shoulders and waist. There are little red dots around my waist and on my lower back. It’s not really that uncomfortable unless I let myself itch it. I will say I’ve noticed the more frustrated I get the itchier I get and the more I itch lol. Assuming this may be a wood/liver/gallbladder issue due to that.

Been doing wuji pose everyday for some time now but have recently been getting a lot of itching/redness along the ren mai (under chin, center of chest, navel and pubic area). I don’t feel this during the practice (which is 40 min to an hour), it happens randomly throughout the day but has been pretty consistent now. Curious what it could be

Curious, did he say why not?

Lower Dan Tian connected to childhood?

It’s interesting that you mention the subliminal memories that reside in the heart because that night I was focusing on what felt like a lot of turbid qi in my chest and middle back before I accessed the memories. I feel like after it cleared that my memory went back as far as it could before I felt the bodily memory of laying in a crib, LDT full and heavy. I even got up out of bed after that and I somewhat felt like an infant that had just learned to walk. I naturally fell into a Zhan Zhuang position and the heaviness I felt in the lower stomach connected quickly to the legs and earth. I do remember when first starting to practice I would observe the way toddlers would stand and notice how all their weight seemed to sink to their LDT and are pretty much practicing ZZ haha You got me thinking now though about the heart and Xing. If it can ‘move’ from the heart into the LDT? I know the Ming is down there as well and there’s a Yin-Yang connection between the two. -
Assuming there is some connection due to the location of the umbilical cord and a recent experience I had the other night. I was laying in bed processing some feelings I hadn’t felt in a long time, meditating on them I found the source to be from some past trauma that I thought was from age 12 or so but after some time traced it to a bad experience when I was probably 3 years old. It’s one of my earliest memories from maybe a handful of memories and it’s where a deep blockage in me was born. What’s interesting is I felt my body slip into a state that I can only assume is a physical memory before this last conscious memory where I felt like I was laying in a crib and my lower dan tian was very connected and rooted in my experience. Like my body was showing me a time before the trauma when I was unblocked, like I was reliving a partial experience of being an infant. I could feel an energetic cord connected from my lower dan tian to the earth, like roots. Like an energetic umbilical cord. I had another experience a year ago doing Zhan Zhuang deep in a rainforest where I felt like I unblocked something deep in the belly that came with a lot of understanding of my early family life, it was probably one of the most significant experiences I’ve had practicing. I want to learn more about this aspect because it seems so essential and connected to the element of water. Anyone have similar experiences or insights?

I was born in the year of the water rooster, does this mean anything for me? I also was born on a wood dog day so there appears to be a clash. Wondering if wearing a rooster talisman would do me any good.

I’ve been doing Zhan Zhuang for a year now. The first few months I practiced I started seeing a lot of hair shedding. I’d been experiencing it on and off for a few years already due to stress though. Haven’t seen it much since then though recently it has started up again since I began focusing on the microcosmic orbit during practice. I am feeling an uptick in energy and insights but hair loss is coming back (not just on my head but also my beard and body hair). Any recommendations on how to curb this? I am open to herbs to assist as well. Thanks

Many days after my sessions (30 min) I will hear my breath in my ears. This happens to me once in awhile but usually only after heavy exercise (running, lifting weights). Assuming a weakness in lung qi. Curious why this might be happening after ZZ when I’m not exerting myself?

Months ago I had a great Zhan Zhuang session where I feel like I unblocked something deep in my lower stomach. At first it felt like it was deflating then it felt like burning warmth deeper than I’ve ever felt (like where one might feel hunger when fasting for a day or two). I remember being quite warm afterwards despite the weather being cooler as well as a deep connection to my past (had many insights into my early upbringing/traumas etc.) I was also crazy hungry that night. I haven’t been able to reproduce that experience but sometimes I’ll randomly feel that burning in my stomach again when I am very relaxed lying down when (I assume) some kind of stagnation is being removed (food, emotions, etc). There is always the theme of burning/warmth and a deep hollowness. Like a spiritual fire burning through something. Could someone help me understand what’s happening here from a qigong perspective?
