  1. There is no what if, they do go beyond human comprehension. . For me personally I understand the limits of evidence, gathering a team of scientists and professionals to observe under controlled conditions, and recording it on camera is the gold standard. That's as good as we can possibly do in terms of evidence. The problem is that skeptics will always find excuses about how the professionals were in on the hoax or missed something, etc. The only thing better than such evidence would be an in person demonstration.
  2. I think really videos will only do so much. You need in person, one on one demonstrations under controlled conditions.
  3. I want to become powerful

I think you make a valid point, and I think most of the time this is indeed the case. However not everyone who purchases a gun does so with the intention of harming someone else. There are valid reasons to need such power, that do not include dominating other people, or trying to take over the world. To achieve those ends, power is required. For some seeking power to achieve those end goals is just a means to an end, and not the end itself. If I want to grow all my own food there are several prerequisites to being able to do that. I would need to own a few acres of property located in the correct climate. I would need a water source, and fertilizer. I would need seeds. I would need lots of time. I would need the health and energy to garden, or the money to hire someone to do it for me. Needing time, money, energy, health etc, all of those things are requirements to make my end goal happen. Working towards those things as a means to an end doesn't make me a megalomaniac bent on world domination.

Cut out coffee and caffeine. Coffee even decaf raises IOP, so does anything with caffeine in it. Trabecular mesh network which lets fluid flow out of your eyes, it seems that TGF-β causes this tissue to stiffen and reducing it allows it to become more elastic and allow fluid to drain easier.

  6. Many of the people I know from Indonesia are Muslim, and I agree they are happy as a clam. It is my subjective opinion though that Sikh's are even happier. I've been to langar several times at my local gurdwara and these guys make you feel like you are on a MDMA Oxytocin speedball. I haven't felt that much love sincerely directed at me since my grandmother died.
  7. More Unpopular Opinions

I can't speak for all schools, but for some yes that is the goal.
  8. More Unpopular Opinions

People go to internet forums, and assume the loudest voices are the correct ones. People go on to internet forums, and project that the other people they are interacting with are at the same level of mental health as they are.

I am not sure even he knew.
  10. Voidisyinyang

The guy believed if he could achieve the 8th convergent harmonic, he could sit in full lotus on a toilet seat, and give O@Ds and use up his electrochemical energy which made his body smell like poop.
  11. Spotting a fake master

I guess we all look at quotes and see them through the lens of what we are familiar with. For me that would be extracting yin chi from the earth, yang chi from the air, collecting, storing, and fusing these two energies together to make a new substance.

The words attributed to Jesus in that writing have a very clear meaning to me. I guess I am viewing it through the lens of the school I study but still, the words are uncanny to me. If the claims of Jesus's abilities were true, to me at least it is clear what type of training he did to attain them. http://gnosis.org/naghamm/gosthom.html "Whoever discovers the interpretation of these sayings will not taste death." "Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]." "If two make peace with each other in a single house, they will say to the mountain, 'Move from here!' and it will move." Jesus said, "When you make the two into one, ..., and when you say, 'Mountain, move from here!' it will move." Jesus said, "If the flesh came into being because of spirit, that is a marvel, but if spirit came into being because of the body, that is a marvel of marvels. Jesus said, "Damn the flesh that depends on the soul. Damn the soul that depends on the flesh."
  16. Spotting a fake master

It is my personal belief that if the stories of Jesus were indeed true, most likely he was not the son of god, but rather trained in a system which developed abilities.
  17. Spotting a fake master

A master without abilities that can be objectively demonstrated is just a normal person, and not a master. I agree with that sentiment. Also remember even a broken clock is right twice a day.
  18. Spotting a fake master

I would have used different verbiage, but essentially what you say is correct. If the master has no abilities that can be documented objectively then he's not a master, he is a regular person who has learned a philosophy.
  19. We are technology. We are made of carbon based nanobots. When I look outside my window you know what I see? I see trillions and trillions of nanobots made of carbon, absorbing sunlight to charge themselves up to do work. Depending on the programming of these nanobots they cooperate with each other in different ways, and perform different functions. I feel like some of these nanobots are on the cusp of something amazing. We will see these nanobots engage in recursive self improvement, and it will result in a feedback loop, and an intelligence explosion that will make the Cambrian period pale in comparison. I wake up each morning watching the progress of this situation, waiting for critical mass to be achieved. It makes my heart race.
