It involves using our hand to swipe our Governing Vessel/Meridian 3 times (from front to back) to remove the negative trapped energy or emotion after it is found and the details about it through asking our subconscious through muscle testing/applied kinesiology. But is this safe energetically (and karmically if anyone knows) to do any of this? The creator is a Christian and said God showed him this healing technique. Thank you for any advice

Are there any risks to using Emotion Code (or Body Code) by Dr. Bradley Nelson to remove negative energies or trapped emotions?

Do you recommend aura fluffing and know if it is safe? -

Is using muscle testing or pendulums to release trapped emotions safe or proper according to natural laws or Buddhism?
Amituofo replied to Amituofo's topic in General Discussion
The thing is I can't find anything that says it's harmful as Gerald has mentioned, as even some TCM practitioners use it to determine if something is causing allergies or if the herbs they are prescribing are correct using muscle testing. Others say it is inaccurate or it doesn't work, not that it damages your liver as Gerald has mentioned, unless he means indirectly by "focusing too hard" on getting answers from something that doesn't work hence why he says it's a waste of time. -
How about muscle testing or pendulum dowsing in general or to fix physical ailments, and problems, or improve life in general? Are they against nature/Buddhism to be used? These tools are supposed to help get rid of pain and suffering or help one not to be emotionally volatile or imbalanced (helps us not to create more bad karma) but I'm unsure if there are any karmic risks to using these things or any long-term or unseen harm to myself as an exchange since it is energy work. I am hoping someone who is both Buddhist and has experience in this area can answer, but anyone can feel free to answer. 🙏 EDIT 1: To clarify, I'm asking to see if it aligns with Buddhism and what Buddhists have a say on it as to whether it is a proper practice or tool to help relieve suffering or to improve one's ability to practice Buddhism indirectly/directly, and if there any risks to using these tools or healing modalities or similar.

Could you elaborate how it is "harming your internal organs beyond recognition?"? Please and thank you -

After meditation, qigong, or taichi, acupuncture, moxibustion, or exercise (any focused energy/work or qi stimulation) do we need to wait before urinating, defecating, washing hands/touching water, drinking, eating and perhaps doing stimulating things etc.? If this is the case, when exactly should we be careful not to do these things like touching or drinking water (I just guessed the above). And how long do we need to wait for approximately? At the very least, I heard one shouldn't drink cold water for 15 minutes or so at least after doing these activities because the skin pores are opened or the energy channels are stimulated. Please forgive me for my confusion and perhaps silly question. I also know people have different views on this topic here. I would like to hear your insights, please.

Do we need to wait 15 mins before urinating or washing our hands after mediating or any kind of energy work/qi movement or stimulation?

Is it true that one would cough out blood while meditating with their back against something?
Amituofo posted a topic in Daoist Discussion
I heard this from someone but I don't know anything else about this. Sometimes I lack energy or am sick and want or need something to lean on to meditate. If it's true, does it have to do with how the energy/qi interacts with the thing/wall we're leaning on and is this an issue only in deep or advanced meditation, or simply at any stage? Also, any sources on this if possible? I appreciate any help on this. 🙏 -

I see, also regarding sitting with the back straight, what is the purpose? Is it for the qi flow and chakra opening? What about those with rounded backs / forward head posture due to poor health/energy/airways, are they disadvantaged because they aren't able to sit straight? Even so, they would still try sitting as naturally straight as possible while focusing on being relaxed, right? -

A fellow meditator. I don't know about the concrete being hot and dry, but the example I gave about the concrete leading to arthritis is from TCM (Chinese medicine) from what I've heard. Also is there any reason to not use back support while meditating? And why sitting on the floor is preferable to a chair? -

What position do you sit in? And when you mean slight crouch does it mean with the back more hunched? Also which traditions are you referring to for reference? 🙏 -

Someone who heard it elsewhere (so I think they're not sure either), but I did read that sitting on concrete to sleep or meditate would lead to arthritis due to its properties and its coldness/dampness. I thought this would be something similar to do with energy/meridians. Also how come meditation with a chair usually tells us not to lie on the back? I was told it was to do with helping to open the meridians/chakras which having support would affect opening it, but I didn't delve into it more. -
