Why bother with morality and ethics?
Sir Darius the Clairvoyent posted a topic in General Discussion
Before someone strawmans me, I do live in accordence to some societal as well as personal values, which might be called living morally. However, there is nothing objective about these: you cant derive an ought from an is. So why moralize? Is morality a tool used for control? -
Leaving a Religion disrupts Qi?
Sir Darius the Clairvoyent replied to tianzhang's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Maybe im mistaken, prob just because God is pretty much synonomous with Christian god intuitivley, so I wondered a little about saying God bless you to a person loosing his religion, which I again foolishy assumed was Christianity. My bad, apologies! -

Where are the High Level Martial Artists/Fighters at?
Sir Darius the Clairvoyent replied to Goden's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Is there any truth to boxing being the most effective matial art? I see that a lot of you take a spiritual approach to this as well, which I am sadly ignorant of, but in terms of pure, unarmed combat?- 137 replies

Maddie, out of curiousity I checked the data for the US and my own country Norway. We have 0.03%, compared to yours 0.5%. You have a a lot of people ages 13-17 as well (1.5%). Among U.S. adults, 0.5% (about 1.3 million adults) identify as transgender. Among youth ages 13 to 17 in the U.S., 1.4% (about 300,000 youth) identify as transgender. How do you interpet this?
-
No, was interrested in your take.
-
You fear being wiped Out? Also, dont you think most voters care more about the economy and border Patrol?
-
Hi Maddie, hope you are fine. May I ask how Trump and the election have or might affect you and other trans people in general?

Finding my spiritual Path
Sir Darius the Clairvoyent replied to Spiritualnewbie's topic in Daoist Discussion
He agrees with you, dont follow him Now I go alone, my disciples, You too, go now alone. Thus I want it. Go away from me and resist Zarathustra! And even better: be ashamed of him! Perhaps he deceived you… One pays a teacher badly if one always remains nothing but a pupil. And why do you not want to pluck at my wreath? You revere me; but what if your reverence tumbles one day? Beware lest a statue slay you. You say that you believe in Zarathustra? But what matters Zarathustra? You are my believers – but what matter all believers? You had not yet sought yourselves; and you found me. Thus do all believers; therefore all faith amounts to so little. Now I bid you to lose me and find yourselves; and only then when you have all denied me will I return to you… that I may celebrate the great noon with you. Since youve studied him, whats your take on some of his views? -

Finding my spiritual Path
Sir Darius the Clairvoyent replied to Spiritualnewbie's topic in Daoist Discussion
I would like to reccomend what might be my fav book of all time: thus spoke zarathustra, Nietzche. It about how humans can and should find their own path after «the death of God» (the foundation on which much of European morality was based upon). -
Animals, the rational animal and suffering
Sir Darius the Clairvoyent posted a topic in General Discussion
So, famously, the greeks considered rationality as the defining feature of humans - what seperates us from animals. i have two cats. They seem to live in constant bliss, without any sense of worry or suffering. Do you agree that animals generally dont suffer, while many humans do? How do explain that the only creature capable of rationality, wisdom and virtue, is the most miserable of them all? -

The Construction of Judaism
Sir Darius the Clairvoyent replied to Nungali's topic in Abrahamic Religions Discussion
Is shem, ham and japheth metaphor for different races, or is that just a modern, racist invention. If not, what does it represe? Also, isnt literally everyone descended from him according to Your faith? -
Finding my spiritual Path
Sir Darius the Clairvoyent replied to Spiritualnewbie's topic in Daoist Discussion
I do not want to hijack the thread, so apologies, but why find a spesific path at all? No teaching is complete, wouldnt it be better to pick and mix? -
