Hello everyone,
I've been lurking around the forum for years, but only now came up with the idea of registering here. The main reason for this is that I have recently started practicing Flying Phoenix Chi Kung and would like to take the opportunity to exchange ideas with Sifu Terry and other practitioners.
A few words about myself:
I've been involved with spiritual stuff since I read the Autobiography of a Yogi and Castaneda's books as a teenager. In my early 20s, I began to get more and more involved with Buddhism, first with Theravada, then with Zen and finally with Dzogchen. I've been practicing Dzogchen for a good 20 years now, since I had the great fortune to meet masters such as Chögyal Namkhai Norbu and Loppön Tenzin Namdak.
For a few years now, however, I've noticed that I've become more and more attracted to the teachings of Daoism, Qi Gong and Neigong. Unfortunately, there is no community in this area where I live, only a few nice, older ladies who offer Qi Gong or Tai Chi courses, but all of them are clearly focused on the physical exercises, neglecting the spiritual aspects.
So I don't have much choice but to participate in online courses and virtual communities, or now with Terry Dunn's DVDs. I have only recently started practicing the exercises on the first DVD, but I am already very positively surprised and look forward to being able to exchange ideas here.
Best regards,
Domingo (aka Yuluka)
