  1. Breathe regardless of situation

Is a good idea to breathe deeply, because then you might get some air in with all the pollution!
  2. my secret

What about rape? During the moment that such a horrible act is committed, is there not at least a slight 'lack of love'?
  3. Aw CT, there was no imposition. Despite my cheeky replies on this thread, I find everything that's being said to be genuinely interesting. ...that's why I'm posting my cheeky replies.
  4. So first we were absolute being, then we were supercharged waveforms, and now we're a'dynamic principle'. Gosh this is giving me a lot to think about. Btw, Is this still the easy way to have a meditative mind? ...because I must admit: I still find it easier to just meditate. ...but is that just because I haven't realised that I'm a 'dynamic principle' yet?
  5. I think that depends on what kind of meditation you're doing. Supercharged waveforms hmm... In my experience those who really understand something are those who can explain it simply, in plain English, without using lots of jargon. ...just saying.
  6. What to do when things go wrong ?

Only dead fish go with the flow.
  7. What do you mean by 'absolute being? What if I recognise that but then don't want to have a meditative mind because I'm doing something that requires a different sort of mental state? Personally I find the easiest way to have a meditative mind is to meditate. Are you suggesting something different? What are you suggesting?
  8. The title of this thread is 'the confusion between strength and weakness'. I've heard it said that one practises martial arts so that one can walk away from a fight (rather than run away). Strength is walking away. (However, strength can also sometimes be standing your ground and kicking arse. It all depends... Strength can be lots of things. If you're strong in some kind've way... Well, that's strength.)
  9. https://inpursuitofhappiness.wordpress.com/2013/12/19/a-course-in-miracles-a-cia-exercise-in-mind-control/ Is this an interesting article? Was a course in miracles a CIA psy-op?
  10. Is it enough?

Enough of what? Enough for what? What do you want?
  11. the three discoveries

Your body is an important part of you, for without it, you would not exist. Your identity and personality are also important parts of you. Most of the people who have ever told me that they are not their body or identity, are escapists who hate the reality of their lives. They try to have no attachments and no feelings, because they are in so much pain. In the process, they repress and surpress and make themselves ill. Whether or not you think you are your body, please look after it. Care for your body, and you will find yourself feeling so much better. Whether or not you have a strong sense of identity, please be true to your own feelings about things.
  12. Do you believe in telepathy?

When I first met my wife, I had a dream that I'd never had before. The next day, she told me that she had the same dream that night, and it is a recurring dream of hers.
  13. Anger

    Try dancing.
  14. I don't want to give these people free publicity. If you agree then don't add anything else to this topic.
  15. Genetically modified cows produce 'human' milk

Thankyou for posting this. I feel shocked and horrified, but this information needs to reach as many human beings as possible so that further similar atrocities may be somehow prevented.
  16. Fish

Only dead fish go with the flow. ... comments?
  17. So, what do you guys and girls think of Boabom and Seamm Jasani? (please keep this about the techniques themselves and not about the lineage/authenticity etc. That's been done and its boring)
  18. The internal martial arts techniques around now, have mostly been developed over hundreds of years. Each new practitioner/teacher makes improvements and refines the training method slightly. If you want to learn by merely observing yourself etc -go ahead, but unless you have acheived physical immortality through some clever taoist yogic practice, you will save youself A LOT of time by getting a master who knows what he's talking about to point you in the right direction. I have practiced zhan zhuang diligently every day for three years now. However a lot of that time I have been subtly harming myself, by practicing in a bad way. If I had had master Lam there the whole time to guide me this would not have happened. I strongly recomend seeing master Lam to anyone, even if you are already an expert. He has so much skill and knowledge about not only yiquan, but also taiji, feng shui, acupuncture, herbal medicine, kung fu etc...
  19. I've had a few lessons with Master Lam. He's very good indeed.
  20. Ridcule of energy practice

She said it very matter of factly, like "oh by the way". Thats one of the reasons it was so shocking to me. At the time, I was feeling full of chi, very relaxed and happy, so I just smiled. Otherwise, I probably would have said something, but maybe its best that I didn't. I mean it was fairly obvious where the 'hate' was coming from in that situation, and where the 'love' was also. Little girl will pick up on this if she encounters enough similar situations.
  21. Ridcule of energy practice

When I first moved to the area I live, I was looking forward to practicing in the local park. After a few attempts I only practice in my own home now. When doing tai chi I got teenagers on bikes shouting "That's not a swimming pool, y'know". When practicing yiquan people would just look at me and burst out laughing. One time while doing zhang zhuang, a little girl (about 8) with an old lady (probably her granny) walked by. She asked "whats that man doing?" The old lady said "he's meditating" -nice, I thought... until the old lady followed it up with "people like that hate God." !?!?!?! However, I remember when I was 14, and less educated than I am now, I would often go to the park with my friends around dusk. There was a young lady who was usually there practicing tai chi. My friends and I sometimes laughed at her, and once or twice even shouted remarks at her. However, I was secretly in awe of her. I giggled because I was nervous about something that looked 'wierd', but secretly I found it very moving to see her there. My suspicion is that a couple of my friends felt similarly. So remember... when you are practicing your tai chi/qigong/yoga/whatever in public and people shout abuse at you... you may have actually planted a seed of inspiration.
  22. Kum Nye

Does Kum Nye have any of the same mental/physical benefits as qigong? Does it have any different benefits? I have never heard or read anything about flying... maybe that is another type of Kum Nye? Vajhridaya, what are vajra practices, and what other types are ther? Thankyou all for all of your help.
  23. Kum Nye

James why did you stop? What do you practise now? Do the postures get easier?
  24. Cultivation and attractiveness

I'm not sure, but actually it seemed that girls fancied me more before I started qigong. However, that was when I was at uni, and there were more girls around. However, I used to walk around with my shoulders back, and my chest puffed out. ...I think girls like that. I dont do it anymore. ...and now I am happier. ...and my wife certainly has no complaints.
  25. My experience with Chunyi Lin

So, Drew. I've read about your orgasms at a distance in other threads, and some of your ideas about sex and the way it works. I was just wondering... have you ever had real sex? I mean... not at a distance. but close up and physical with bodily fluids being exchanged etc.
