The Lower Tan Tien Is "Similar" To A Black Hole/SuperNova?
soaring crane replied to SonOfTheGods's topic in General Discussion
huh. I'm wondering what the anti-black hole is in the universe. The universe itself? When I get that figure out, I'll try to ponder your model -
[QiWork] Regarding Closing Exercise and Massaging stomach Directions

Exactly. And absolutely the only place a query such as that in the OP can possibly lead. It's unfortunate that 4bsolute can't understand that simple inevitability. -

Real Ultimate Power -Secrets Revealed!
soaring crane replied to SonOfTheGods's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Hahaha :-) OT - the wrting reminded me of the rambling posts an old high school friend leaves on my Facebook wall sometimes. He completely messed his mind up with LSD in the 80s. If I post a picture of my dog, he'll write 1000 words on some random topic and then tell me (and the Facebook world) that he loves me. -
'doing the mco meditation' doesn't say much in itself. What exactly is it you do? And what other activities do you have? Your problem could be as simple as a posture imperfection or as complex as an an ancestor inhabiting your kidneys and causing a blockage. Or a subconscious influence from yourself, as was suggested. What I mean is, it's a wide open field.

Tarot Set for beginner - any recommendations
soaring crane replied to daojones's topic in Tarot Bums
The Osho cards are beautiful and profound. A friend of mine got a set for her birthday and was at first very unenthusiastic, but quickly fell in love with them. She's been laying cards for a good twenty years and has I don't know how many decks but I think the Osho deck is her favorite. http://www.amazon.com/Osho-Zen-Tarot-Transcendental-Game/dp/0312117337/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1389966856&sr=1-1&keywords=osho+zen+tarot -
[QiWork] Regarding Closing Exercise and Massaging stomach Directions
soaring crane replied to 4bsolute's topic in General Discussion
You're asking too much and placing demands on people. Nobody is going to write a book just for you. And nobody wants to be told that their opinion is not welcome . You ask too many questions that take a LOT of time and effort to answer. You have to learn to do your own research first instead of simply posting a request in a forum and expecting a comprehensive answer. And then bumping your thread when you grow impatient because you didn't get an answer quickly enough, I call that 'mutig' ;-) -
that's a very good analogy, JB. The man must have felt like a Kafka character.

I don't know. I've been living here for a while and wouldn't consider for a moment moving back, and I'm very thankful to be raising our daughter here and not in NY where I come from. I know it sounds weird and contradictory but, we actually enjoy more personal freedom here than I think I ever had in the US. And there's very little to be compared between Britain and modern Germany. Absolutely, MB, that's what I meant. The cops are out of control, but then they have valid reasons to be paranoid. It's a vicious circle, hence the loony bin comment. I wasn't commenting directly about the person in the story, btw. He's clearly a victim of the system.

Peope over here sometimes ask me why in the world I would want to live in boring Germany when I could be living in the exciting USA... It's hard to get them to understand. On the one hand you've got gun fetishists building up home arsenals and on the other you've got police that act like the Gestapo or Stasi. It's a loony bin coming AND going.

Cellular Hotspot as only Internet source for laptop
soaring crane replied to i am's topic in The Rabbit Hole
With mobile, doesn't going over the limit just cut your speed? Five gb for 50 dollars is expensive, wow. But I guess that's just how it is the US? -
Hi, I want to buy some plasters for my wife's heel spur, and can't find a local (meaning anywhere in all of Europe) source that sells them at reasonable prices, if at all. But there's someone coming from the States in two weeks and he could bring a little package with him. So I could order online and have them mailed to him in Chicago. Amazon has what I want - 701 plasters - and the reviews seem pretty good, but I figured it would be silly not to ask here for suggestions :-) Should add that I learned about the 701 plasters through Tom Bisio's Tiger Tooth book, and they sound perfect. But if anyone knows of a better product, or just a good alternative, I'm all ears... Thanks in advance!

Good online source for Chinese herbs / meds?

Ok, eBay for the win on the po sum on... :-) No such luck with the 701 though -
Good online source for Chinese herbs / meds?
soaring crane replied to soaring crane's topic in General Discussion
Brain fart - I forgot you're a Canuck, sorry. .co.uk is really expensive, much more expensiver than .com, about 10 Euro vs 30 Euro for a tin, for example. And if I buy 3 tins, plus some other stuff, free shipping within the US ... I think amazon.com is my only choice (unless someone else here has a suggestion, nudge, nudge, wink wink, say no more) PS - po sum on (pour some on?) looks like a good tip, thank you, but the dealer at amazon is a shipping and handling ripper-offer, I hate that. PPS - ok, I found the dealer I think you were linking to and they have free shipping - cool! PPPS - no, they seem a little dodgy and might be shipping from Hong Kong... -

BKA - what if I sent you funds? Would you mail a package to Chicago for me? :-) :-) :-) -
[Qigong] Where does the food go? People are scared
soaring crane replied to 4bsolute's topic in General Discussion
I was gonna suggest that some Qigong practices go directly to the endocrine system, and affect the metabolism in a big way. I don't personally buy into the calories in calories out formula anymote, at least not as a universal rule. The are more efficient and less efficient motors. But the OP seems to be describing a pretty extreme situation here. A huge metabolic shift? That can happen, but in my experience it usually means you can get by with much LESS food....? -
How To Heal A Cold With Tao? Or Zen?
soaring crane replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
I don't know either but I love your strategy :-) Mine, in no particular order: Hot Chili tea (green tea, or any tea, but add hot chilli and drink hot) Dry brushing entire body (don't use a wire brush but don't be wimpy about it either) Alternating hot/cold showers (a whole system, if anyone's interested in details) Horseradish - on everything, and pure Hot dried chili stuffed up inside cheek SAUNA (extensive, HOT) Dress warm, sleep under hot quilted blanket to sweat it out overnight Slapping techniques, self massage techniques (TCM) Kidney herb belt, hot Lots and lots of (hot) plain water (drinking) Avoid cold, especially consumables Internal expungement (raus mit dir!) of pathogens Circulate clean pure light Sleeeeeeeeeep And more that isn't occurring to me at the moment because I just do most of this stuff all the time anyway. Dry brushing was one of the first things I thought of - it's a great thing to make habitual. Oh, something else - alkaline/base salt baths (hot, of course) with a stiff body brush session, especially around all the 'kua' areas - ankles, knee insides, groin, armpits, elbows insides... And face... -

nice :-) There's an excellent, comprehensive book (and dvd) on SC in German. But, well, it's in German. -
Best Book Recommendation For Maximum Cultivation Practices?
soaring crane replied to SonOfTheGods's topic in General Discussion
the first one, yes: Total Wellness It's one of those books that should be in everyone's collection regardless. Get it anyway if you haven't got it yet. (used for three bucks) His Feng Shui book is also very interesting, but kind of difficult to make heads or tails of. There's more Qigong in it than Feng Shui, which makes sense, but, well, you don't need it. -

Have you got Baolin Wu's book? He's got information you don't see in other places. I mean, I haven't seen other places. -
I don't know, probably, somewhere or sonewhen. But now I'm wondering if there's any other language that capitalizes the first person pronoun the way we do in English (while writing all the others lower case).

Nigerian Pastor Tries to Walk on Water Like Jesus, Then Drowns in Front of His Congregation
soaring crane replied to SonOfTheGods's topic in The Rabbit Hole
I wondered about that myself. Maybe it was old fashioned pride that stopped him from swimming, so as not to look like a phony baloney to his followers? Or maybe there was something waiting for him just below the surface of the water? -

Should have started with something smaller, like turning water to wine or feeding an entire flashmob with one fish.
