Filling up the lower Dan Tien- How and Why

Yes, to train, yes with muscle movement, don't need visualisation. Those muscles start working independently (after a while) and then you just 'think' the motion and it starts automatically -

I think I might know the comb thing - was it stiff wires with plastic tips and looked a bit like a big whisk for stirring soup? -
I looked at the website in the meantime and see that she is indeed sincere. But did you watch the video? I thought it was from the onion...

well, I don't have a product name to go with it, but this does seem like a possibility: http://www.energetic-medicine.net/prognos.html You have experience with it? -
fascinating and kind of creepy. Imagine if they were grow that big ... they're not all viruses, though.

you come up with the weirdest s**t. Love it! And what do we do with it? i know (or, well, I've been told) that Russian Cosmonauts have electronic TCM equipment in their space station. When they have physical problems, they get analyzed and told which acu-points to activate (or maybe which qigong to do?) -

Filling up the lower Dan Tien- How and Why

yeah, ok, I'll leave it at that then although, I'll add one thing here, very truncated - try rotating the LDT intentionally, internally, with the muscles, up the front/abdomen and down the back/sacrum (inhale up, exhale down, close huyin when exhaling, relax it when inhaling). Do it a while (9 reps or longer) and then shift on an exhale, relax, let the chi then rise up the back, start mco ... Like winiding a watch spring and letting it loose... -

Nice reply, I really appreciate your contributions I only wanted to clarify that the reason I don't feel right with the term 'fill' regarding Dantians is that to fill something, you need a defined container, a limited space with a border. The border may be flexible, but it's still there. Dantians don't work like that. 'Expand' is a word a like, it feels good. -

haha, no, it does me! no, it's just a natural result of standing qigong forms. If I don't force it, and am rising/sinking with I breathe, my belly expands all on its own when I exhale/sink, albeit only slightly, there's very little movement in either direction. When sitting/standing still meditating, then it's more of a rotation/circling that does push the abdomen outward on exhale. Outward and upward, internally, but somewhat visible from outside. is this a good thread to go into Dantian rotation? -
but, I'm asking how did they conclude that reincarnation is a fact? They must have seen something. I suspect it goes back to pre-history, and through many cultures, due to people having similar visions when in trance, and later interpreting their visions as earlier incarnations of themselves. Does that seem at least plausible?
-
Thank you, I'll check it later (my wife is watching a documentary on Tibet right now, have to be quiet) Well that's not an answer at all. They just thought it up? I think it most likely originated ( which is what I'm wondering about, for a reason) in trance visions and interpretations.

huh. With me, it's just the opposite, usually. -
o, I know! haha, it's just that ren mai is almost always shown that way and people do tend to simply follow the contour of the front of their profile when meditating on it. With du mai it's different, the path in the diagrams is close to the real vessel, or close enough.
-
Well, no, that's who (and only one of many possible answers to that question), not how.
-
would be cool if it were due to a subtle energetic response, but it's a normal function of the human immune system. It's more UNusual to have a body that shuts down both nostrils at the same time. There's a method to tricking the stuffed nostril into opening, but I forget it at the moment, oops! Anyway, I wanted to post this link: http://www.amazon.com/Gelomyrtol-Forte-20-Kapseln-Capsules/dp/B004281W0S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388347724&sr=8-1&keywords=gelomyrtol Gelomyrtol, good stuff! It's the go-to preparation for bronchial and nasal problems here. Completely natural, and very effective (when taken correctly). Also, JoeBlast touched on something that I think he could have gone into more detail on. Basically, if you're breathing from the diaphragm/stomach, as you should be, then all the rest of the respiratory apparatus should be held in relaxation. Move the belly slowly, rhythmically, to draw fresh air in deeply, and expel old air thoroughly. Do not use the chest at all. Try to keep the airways open and unhindered, that's all. The point it, you don't need a wide-open nose to breath effectively, deeply, and comfortably, but you need practice. Now the whistling ... that'd drive me crazy, too, lol. Breathe more slowly (and just blow your nose beforehand?). Edited to add an important UN to the word unusual up there... Oops.
-
Would you agree that ren mai is actually much deeper than shown here, and doesn't strictly follow the contour of the front of the body? I think the lines as shown here are meditation guides/aides.

yeah, but when you (ok, when I) read pdf, I always have a browser open and then, you know, peek ... -
Oh, I wasn't complaining per se, I was only implying that the claim should be taken with a big grain of salt (that means, don't believe it, for non-native speakers). That's why I pointed out that is did result in interesting information/dialog.

Not this time, no, lol.
