You're supposed to provide links directly to the thread and, better the specifc posts in the thread in question. Also, why did you post this in an open forum? -

Internet communications all lead back to cat pictures at some point, always. It can't be coincidence can it? -

Nice photo Brian :-) As I was driving home this evening, something caught my eye off in the East. It actually confused me for a few seconds as I asked myself, 'sunrise?'. It would be just like me to forget an entire night. But it wasn't a sunrise, it was a moonrise, big as the sun, colorful, gorgeous light in the clouds above... I just parked and stared at it until it rose high enough to become 'just another beautiful full moon'. Didn't take any photos though and I'm sure they wouldn't have come close to reality.

Love the symbolism but the reality... Ouch -
Hey, you didn't vote! I do get up with the sun when sleeping outdoors, and I like it, but I'm just too dogged tired in the morning. Although this time of year the sun doesn't rise till about 8am haha. And in summer it starts dragging itself over the horizon at like 3:30... Zzzzzzzzzzz....

Or that, yes. When he attacked me, he first leaped onto my right thigh, with all ten claws pushed deep into my skin. The he quickly circled around to my rear end and up my back, each paw being yanked out and forcefully jammed back into me until he was on my left shoulder. Then he springboarded off me and ran away. I was perforated and shaken really badly. I could do absolutely nothing and the STRENGTH that I felt beyond each puncture was impressive. I was in shorts and a t-shirt, too. I don't care what kind of gongfu you might be capable of, a bigass cat clawing it's way up your back is going to make you squeal. -
I've now got the Bagua book plus Decoding the Dao and the Tiger Tooth book. I'll write more later but I'm basically quite happy with all three of them. The Bagua book does have a homemade feel to it, I can believe that it was cobbled together out of blog posts, but the information seems quite solid, and even quite advanced for essentially an introductory book. Decoding the Dao is good stuff, imo. I can't say there's anything revolutionary or even new in it, but the material is presented very clearly and well organized. I've had more than a couple ah-hah moments while reading it, due to the way the information is formulated. His style seems to jibe with me. I haven't had any real use for the Tiger book yet but I've perused it pretty thoroughly and can only reiterate what was already written about it - wow! I think if I had the opportunity, I'd feel comfortable going to him for instruction.

Can you say 'tetanus shot'? I was attacked by a big tom cat like that once, it's scary. (and all I was trying to do was pet the bastard). -
The topic is the universe and all it contains. How is it possible to deviate from that? :-)

Absolutely - turn inward, it's where you belong. Make the shift from the macrocosm to the microcosm and you'll start to find all kinds of cool stuff to occupy your time :-)

Hi Soaren - I see many of my own feelings and experiences reflected in your post. I often feel exactly as you describe. I don't know if it's normal or not, and I don't have any suggestions at the moment but it was good that you wrote that you're not depressed. Just keep on keepin on and see what comes your way for now.

Scientists Discover Double Meaning in Genetic Code
soaring crane replied to xor's topic in The Rabbit Hole
I can only write figuratively about my intuition on this but what I intuit is that researchers so far have been able to find 1's and 0's, peaks and valleys, on a big ass hard drive. They've figured out how some rudimentary combinations of on/off equate to some letters and words, but they don't know the programming language nor how to interpret any but the simplest blocks of code. They're completely lost when trying to put a larger context onto what they've discovered so far. For example, I have Starry Night as my wallpaper. Geneticists are looking at a little piece of binary string and telling us that it probably equates to a shade of blue at a particular quadrant in the picture. But they don't know what the picture is. They don't even know if what they're looking at is in fact piece of a painting, or a chord in a song, or a line in a poem. -

In my classes I often use the image of the mountain to direct the attention. The base of the mountain is widest and as the inner eye travels upward, it encounters less and less mountain but more and more sky/heaven (in German we use the same word for both - Himmel - so it becomes ambiguous in a positive sense). Return from the mountains peak, travel downward and you arrive eventually at the wide base of the mountain once again. Climb up past the mountain's peak and you enter pure heaven... but you always must return to the base. There's a point along the way, both ways, that represents equilibrium. A horizontal axis... This is what I saw in the Alpha during the church service yesterday while my daughter was playing the Feather theme from Forrest Gump :-)

Auric Sight - Can You See Auras?
soaring crane replied to SonOfTheGods's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
I used to but then I came to the honest conclusion that it was mostly wishful thinking on my part and 'tricks of the eyes' such as Stosh described. However, something I do see very clearly when I look for it is the breath of trees (my interpretation of . the phenomenon). Viewing trees from a distance, I can see something like a white/grey smoke/mist emanating from them, rising to the sky and cascading to the ground. It's very interesting and lovely and I don't have an explanation for it. Other people don't see it when I ask. I also sometimes see a faint black cloud over buildings or neighborhoods, which other people also don't see, meaning it's not a natural entity. It's not a positive image...
