GrĂĽezi Mathias and thank you for that exceptionally lovely introduction :-) I may know someone who may be interested in taking you up on your offer. She's in need of a few months of the life you're living, and she's a very, very sweet person, not anspruchsvoll at all.

Ways to breathe in the most amount of air?
soaring crane replied to Arya's topic in General Discussion
One of the starting points: body awareness and mastery - learn to relax everything connected with the air passages, starting with the face ... and learn to utilize the power of the lower torso to draw in the fresh stuff and expel the old. -
There's also the preemptive application of antibiotics in agriculture, probably the worst abuse of all. I mean, speaking of damaging the body ...

You know you're a handful and cause work for us here, so you should expect attention from the moderators, that's just the way it is. Small suspensions like that are uitilized to give staff a little breathing space to discuss issues.

My little tip for even better chilli: don't wash/drain the kidney beans. Use the gooey liquid from the cans as the liquid base for your creation.

Why are so many Men posting in Nuwa, the Female sanctuary?
soaring crane replied to Seth Ananda's topic in General Discussion
This was undoubtably made by a man who has never experienced a woman actually wanting to have sex with him. And then he blames the women, or womankind. That's quite a grudge to carry. How much does it weigh?- 73 replies

Why are so many Men posting in Nuwa, the Female sanctuary?
soaring crane replied to Seth Ananda's topic in General Discussion
Yes, there is. It's commony referred to as, "most of the f****** planet". That's why there are a couple tiny niches carved out for those who aren't in the big club.- 73 replies

hmm... do you assume that we all assume that? Because I don't, except in the sense that we're a tiny, very useful part of the one life on Earth and sometimes our task is to explore ways for that one life to evolve. I believe all that we do, the things some of us perceive as ugly and the things some of perceive as the beautiful, contribute in some way to that one life's continued existence, or evolution. We're too tiny to see the whole, for sure.

Hello and welcome, Splash. These are bizarre times where an ex-cop mentioning that simple fact is akin to an ex-con outing himself. -

So what do you all think "grounded" means? That would be the crux of the bisquit here. Is a relaxed person a grounded person? I know I don't know how many practitioners and instructors who give the first impression of being well-grounded but over time, their insecurities bubble to the surface and they seem more like actors in a theatrical presentation.

Hey, I really love this introduction. Thank you, Des :-) gat any gardening metaphors at the ready?

Where exactly do you "put you tongue on palate" ?
soaring crane replied to mizpulyn's topic in Daoist Discussion
If you relax the jaw and the tongue (it's a muscle) it should "swell up" a bit and make the contact spontaneously, over a larger area. Saliva should flow feely.- 19 replies

How To Reckon "Past Lives" With Time
soaring crane replied to SonOfTheGods's topic in The Rabbit Hole
My personal sense of this is that it's organic. I see the very first proto-microbes on this planet existing for a couple billion years, and very slowly moving from the seas to the shores, and expanding, mutating. I see one unbroken mass of information, experiences, memories stored in the organic matrix that envelops everything on our planet, including the air that flows through us, it's all there, nothing ever goes lost. And in meditation, we can get a glimpse of some subtle bit (or a couple bytes, so to speak) of that awesome database of information. And then we interpret it ... Past life? No. One life. -
Well, I think that could also be the result of practicing relaxed, deep breathing. I wouldn't think of it as a definite sign of one's being especially well-grounded, though. I've got a few specific friends in mind here...
