    swoooooon ....
  2. I'm a Gong Freak and I admit it

woah .... found some awesome gong work with rubber / rubbing mallets. My big gong was delivered with a couple of these but I think the gong itself is too heavy and thick to get it to start up vibrating like this. I'll have to try on my smaller gongs. This is really awesome, and probably better with headphones, too:
  3. I'm a Gong Freak and I admit it

oh yessss... often. It's part of what I do with the lovely things :-) Also float them in the bathtub and strike them. Pretty profound, that.
  4. Is quantum physics bunk?

Beat me to it. This is like quoting Onion articles. That kind of language in a Goswami quote should be an immediate red flag that sends you to the source (which is included at the bottom of the text!). A quick perusal of the other links on that webpage says all that needs be said. Goswami has been doing this for a long time; he's trying to reconcile his religious beliefs with his scientific experiences. His book are well received, afaik.
  5. I'm a Gong Freak and I admit it

A friend visited me recently and recorded some gong sounds in my living room. He has decent microphones, and knows how to use them, lol. I just finished putting together a small sampler of the results, you can hear it here: as it says in the video, you really need headphones or decent speakers to hear this. Otherwise, it'll mostly sound like the sound of silence .... Even so, this only represents about half of what really happens when the gongs are ringing, and the recording levels were extremely low to prevent clipping. I played around with a video editor, to make it less boring visually... edit: just noticed the clothes rack in the background of the photo. How did I not see that before??

  15. Dantian breathing - plateau

I have no way of knowing if this is true in your case but generally speaking, sensations cease after a while, it's completely normal and a sign that you've moved on to a more refined state. It's a tricky situation to be in and we all fall for it at one point or another.
  16. huh weird. I suddenly started getting email notifications and had to go into my settings and turn them off.
  17. What is astrological meaning of solar eclipse?

I was a bit underwhelmed here in Germany. I was in Munich in 99 when we had a 100% eclipse and was kind of expecting something similar this time. But it's just a super-bright, white sun. Feeling strangely ungrounded all day, though. Floating ...

  23. The Laozi as a Manual of Manipulation and Control

I think Macro/Microcosm is a good model for it.
  24. Serge Augier - Shen Gong and Nei Dan in Da Xuan

  25. The Laozi as a Manual of Manipulation and Control

Do mean energy cultivation practices? Or personal morals/ethics and the like? On the energetic side, it can be as simple as governing the body and mind by simply focussing on the breath (for example). You kind of trick the body/mind into submission by simply making the breath the ruler. And the result is a harmonious society that is coincidentally shaped just like you.
