  1. There is no such thing as "empty mind"

    ok, all rocks in Franconian Germany are old
  2. There is no such thing as "empty mind"

    As have all stones. A friend told me that he'd spent the day at a museum, "looking at old rocks". I replied, "all rocks are old ".
  3. Petitionary prayer - we all do it!

    yeah, l that's basically what I saying/thinking, just wording it differently (in a quickie post from my phone)
  4. How do the Hexagrams transform from 1-64/ Sequence Theory

    Something else interesting: It's a history book, describing the fall of the Shang dynasty and the rise of the Zhou :-)
  5. How do the Hexagrams transform from 1-64/ Sequence Theory

    The king wen arrangement is traditional and no one can really tell us exactly why it is the way it is. But the hexagrams are mostly arranged in pairs if you look at them. Turn 3 upside down and you get 4, etc... 1 and 2,and 27-30 are the exceptions and there are other structural patterns, but the reasoning behind it all is conjecture.
  6. Petitionary prayer - we all do it!

    The OP resonates with me. Quite, yes. Both scenarios, hoping for God and believing in your self, expose a lack of genuine faith in... the universe?
  7. Greetings everyone

  9. First Post: Discovering Mo Pai Nei Kung

    ~~~~~~Moderator Message~~~~~~~ With apologies to neikungnamaste, this thread is being nipped in the bud. ~~~~~~over and out~~~~~~~
  10. First Post: Discovering Mo Pai Nei Kung
    I think you'll understand when I point out that your post is simply perpetuating that karmic undercurrent, CT. And when I wrote 'stop it, please', I meant precisely that.
  11. First Post: Discovering Mo Pai Nei Kung
    ~~~~~~Moderator Message~~~~~~~ It's not often that a Lobby Steward needs to blow the whistle. Stop it now, please. You all know what I mean. It's bad enough in the regular forums but this is just an introductory post. ~~~~~~over and out~~~~~~~

    above and beyond, I'd say. Thanks! :-)
  13. I compromised and put it in Taoist Discussion (it's actually a book discussion, but that's ok. This book in particular is so well-known it's kind of an entity unto its own). Btw -- our Taomeow has some experience: http://www.laoziacademy.us/2009_russia.htm

    Hello brokenyogi, and welcome to the forums! We're happy to have you here. 15. Greetings

    Hello mike, and welcome to the forums! Glad to have you aboard :-) I should point out that MoPai has kind of died down here as an active topic of discussion. The most effective way to cull old posts and threads is to go directly to google and search: thetaobums mopai (or whatever search term you prefer). interesting concept watching Star Trek TNG Deja vu? It's Q
  17. or perhaps people who do understand Dao also understand that some other people equate it with God, and so write their words to be all-inclusive? anyway, I often suggest ppl simply meditate on their own body, because the body always exists in the here and now and nowhere or when else.
  18. Haiku Chain

    won't travel so far, will sit in my little cave, gazing at a star. (grrr ... the white pussy cat beat me by three minutes. Now you know how long I spend on these things)
