I refer you back to my previous post ^^ Learn to heal yourself. It's the only true 'healing' anyway.

Maybe spend the $1,000 on private lessons in a healing art like Qigong? That way you have something for the rest of your life.

Can someone show me the Chinese translation for my name?
soaring crane replied to Songtsan's topic in é柶ćŠèŻŽ
Yes, without hesitation, an excellent system that starts with maintenance of health but can go much further. I think it needs to be learned from a teacher, though. Books and videos won't work. There's an Academy in Beijing I believe The practice has a very interesting history, look into it a bit Thank you for reply. I'll look into the it in my books -
German TV, jawohl! :-)

Sitting/Laying Meditation & Falling Asleep
soaring crane replied to ValleyStream's topic in Daoist Discussion
add me to the eyes-open crowd. And not just a little. Try to meditate on being awake. Wide awake and fully aware of your surroundings :-) Try ... But honestly, this is also a completely normal phase in the earlier stages. Do you also start to yawn a lot? If you do, don't suppress it. Open up the maw and yawn deeply, with all the noises that want to come out. After a while (months?) this phase will pass all on its own. One more thing to consider: The less attention you give the internal processes, the more freedom they have to rectify themselves at their own pace. -
Chakara opening notes and tones integration in music for greater emotional appeal

Uuuuuuu (the vowel sound from boot) Ooooooo (the vowel sound from boat) Aaaaaaah (the vowel sound from hot) Aaaaaaa (the vowel sound from hey) Eeeeeee (the vowel sound from see) Mmmmnnnngggg (humming through the nose, related to "Om") These are sounds in a meditation I do. I start at the bottom of the body, the pelvic basin, and go up and out the head progressively. And then reverse order. I could write more about it if you're interested. It can be quite profound after nine rounds. -

well, ok, what's a soaring crane? (I do have it in a book and some other documents, but not online. He Xiang Zhuang Gong -- It's not a name I made up; it's one of the earliest qigong systems I learned and when I joined TTB, it was my main activity) Thanks! PS -- I've heard that in Japanese, John Wayne is called something like "The Man sitting in a Tree" because phonetically, that sounds as close as they can get to his name. So, ChiDragon wrote: For example, Ali has no translation but ćé was used to have the closest phonetic for it. And I'm wondering what ćé actually translates to. That isn't the pictogram for Li/fire from the Yijing -
That sounds reasonable. "not on my watch" etc...

and the reason for the panic, given that apparently nobody in England wants them? (as has been suggested) Is it the oil?

Hi again :-) Many people find the Tao Bums when they search John Chang/Magus/MoPai, but honestly, it's a bit of a dead end, a path with very few reliable signposts, so, most everyone here who starts that path ends up going *his own way, or hitching his wagon to someone with a strong personality who projects mastery but who in fact has also accomplished very little. And it can become quite contentious as they begin to argue about what's right and what's wrong, what's legitimate and what's false. Personally, I recommend a more mainstream approach and the Ken Cohen system is as good as any. Honestly, for the most part, all these 'systems' are just different ways of expressing and experiencing a few profound but basically simple concepts. *male pronoun because I can't recall any female ever expressing interest in this particular discipline
-
you mean kick the bums out? Well, they do have the right to referendum (as opposed to the Spanish Catalonians and the Tiroleans, who have been grumbling about leaving Austria for a while), so, if a campaign were to begin and people got behind it, maybe it could be possible? Pure conjecture on my part, but it's an interesting angle.
