Your last sentence there. Remove the 'maybe' and welcome to my world :-) -

How does "energy" fit into your practice
soaring crane replied to Kajenx's topic in Daoist Discussion
I don't personally like the word energy, probably because of the new-age-iness associated with it. I also wouldn't lump qi in with all the other descriptors. One example (out of many) of how Qi enters my dynamic practice - I expand my LDT and push my arms outward with the big ball of qi that develops there, and can rest my hands on top of it, anywhere from chest height to above my head, with extremely little muscular force. If I do feel my shoulders getting tense, it means my thoughts have wandered and all I have to do is intently exhale out of the LDT area to pump the ball back up. This is a prep exercise to guiding my limbs through qigong movements through qi-breath instead of muscle force. Qi is flow; it's the transformation of spirit to structure, and back again. -

Hey SoG, this is a great summary, like the missing link for me. Thanks! -
Yes, that's what everyone in Britain seems to believe, if the comments sections of the Guardian and Mail are an indicator. The penalty was the ref's call and it wasn't an easy one. It could have gone the other way. But, Müller laid down after getting hit - hard - the face, and was just getting back up when Pepe came over and head-butted him. Even if it was only a kind of warning bop on the bean, you don't do that. Period. To a man sitting on the pitch, five meters in front of the ref. It probably could have amounted to nothing, and, who knows, maybe even yellow for Müller? But the red card was Pepe's own fault. It's not like he's immune to the things. Regardless, Germany was clearly the better-prepared team. Portugal were a mess from the start and German players did well at every position. I suspect they're going to go far, again. I'll have to work it out and see when they can meet Italy. Italy is to Germany what Germany is to England Behind the scenes player of the match: Boateng. Ronaldo wasn't necessarily having a bad day; he was neutralized.

oh, btw - pretty cool that my phone's emoji's post to the thread subject line.

haha! I just really enjoyed that. Especially the spoon knife in the beginning where you could actually take him seriously.

Holland will choke if they have to face Germany. And Germany will choke if they meet Forza Italia ;-)
-
Germany looking very very strong. And they've got big guns sitting on the bench. This is a team to be reckoned with. Portugal unfortunately not up to it.

Sounds great so far. Maybe write a bit about your detox experiences? I think it's something that a lot of people here are interested in.

In German, they're called "Pferdebremsen" which translates to "Horse Stopper", because of how dangerous it when a horse gets bitten while riding. Really, the things are sooo cruel. There are gentler ways of getting blood from a host. -
Hi zen and welcome. Qigong and yoga are very different approaches, in some ways contradictory, and in my experience, those coming from a yoga background often make the mistake of either forcing their yoga into a qigong shell, or vice versa. So my suggestion is, if and when you do get into it, approach it as a raw beginner, or like a child 👶

Yes, spotless, you understand! And we have swarms of them. I've been trapped in the woods feeling like I was in a horror movie trying to get away from them. They find their way under clothing, and also just bite right through
