  1. Choa Kok Sui

i'm settled in I-chuan. no meditation besides standing, which is my favorite meditation of the ones i've tried for a few weeks. I practice everyday, and will never stop practicing everyday. But if I want to be the most effective counselor I can be I want to be able to do more than tell people to practice I-Chuan. Over the next twenty years I will be proficient in dowsing, yijing and tarot divination, energy healing, parkour, astrology, cooking, qigong, hypnotherapy, I-chuan, and any skill that can enhance the lifes of others, me, and my environment. Up until two months ago I wasted too much time. But one thing at I time. I'll continue reading Bruce Frantzis' book, I think he talks about healing and how IMA is a route to that, but I also noticed he does alot of qigong now.
  2. I'm about to buy some books to read, i was wondering if anyone knew of a book that contains some qigong or yogic practices for uplifting yourself into a happier state for the day? or something to just highten the frequency to a better frequency? I'm just looking to be more steadily happy is all, and a good read.
  3. practice for happy living?

thank you for the advice. I'll start doing that too.
  4. Dowsing/Muscle testing

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AXLjhobdA4 My ego is annoyed by the lady and her business, but the examples in this video work very well.
  5. does anyone hear voices in their head?

get your aura cleaned and get entity detachment at some point from someone, it will help immensely with your the efficiency of your practice and speed of the arrival of your results.
  6. Is wing chun internal?

If I ever take on Wing Chun it won't be for a very long time. I'd much rather focus on what I'm doing right now, in yiquan mostly. Standing is what I practice. I don't need anymore right now, but there is no harm in learning all that I can. I just had a friend talking to me about wing chun. thank you all for the information
  7. Chen Taiji within I-Chuan

cause he's getting pushed, I think he might be adding a little upward motion so he his feet don't catch on the floor due to the suprisingly immense amount of force pushing him back. A part of yiquan is taking the most powerful movements, and making them the littlest movements without a loss of power. Yiquan is amazing, so subtle, so powerful. I usually wouldn't believe such a video, but every once in a while when my form and movement is just right, i'll feel the energy shoot up through my feet, my legs, my hips, my lower torso, my torso, my arms, and into my hands. That's when I get lucky cause i've only been learning for a month and a half. I figure if I can notice that in a month and half, probably a 600th (if he's been practicing 50 years) of the range of time he's practiced, and since i only practice about 30 minutes a day, besides two hours on monday and wednesday.... He has legitimately developed the amazing ability of empowering the force that I rarely feel. But that's just IMO and IME.
  8. Inner Guide Meditation

This book seems to be really really good. It is how to go into yourself, and find the guide that can help you and always give you the right advice. You start dealing with the energies of transformation, and all through talking to the inner guide, who you will actually be with, looking at, talking to, in a foreign place. You will deal with your reality's manifestation of negative energies, and ego. These energies too, will manifest in an embodiment. Through conversation and action with your Inner Guide and the negative entities, you will transform. This meditation only takes a few, around three, times till you will actually meet your Inner Guide. It naturally rises the Kundalini. It is a western path to turning the ego into a 100% vehicle for spiritual growth. After that, it's up to you to lift the ego. I highly suggest the book for even just the information that connects the tarot, astrology, and the transformations that take place. Also, it'd be nice to have a person in the world, who will always give you perfect advice, even if it is always an answer in the form of a question. Another point, after you experience this, you have to decide whether it's all unconscious, or you are meeting your true Guide. He or She will have an entire past life, dressed in the clothes they claim they wore before they died. I could take the time I'll spend on this on taiji/yiquan, but it just seems so beneficial it's hard to pass up. My internal martial arts will always be my #1 priority and favorite thing to do. Anyway, awesome book, i'd check it out if I were you.
  9. Chen Taiji within I-Chuan

thank you. As you agree i'm sure, many including I have found little value in online videos. I could have downloaded a video for taiji two years ago, and would be farther behind than my month and a half experience has put me. No way could I push myself the way my teacher has taught me to push myself, if I learned from a video. I already notice clearer energy channels, a calmer more creative mind, stronger healthier body, and a new passion. by the way, how do you pronounce nei jin in romanized form?
  10. Chen Taiji within I-Chuan

Are you saying erle is dealing with Wai Jin? My teacher has spoke of your energy going through the ground, as opposed to creating resistance with yourself (in reference to punching). Also, I believe that what Sifu Fong is doing is slightly different than the fa jin he also teaches, but all because his muscles will twitch during what looks like a time of rest, and every last muscle to the toes is reorganized between the movements which iare sometimes fa jin.
  11. sacral chakra overactivity

my teacher doesn't really talk very much. He does qigong and knows bagua, taiji, hsing-I, I-Chuan, Praying Mantis. So I imagine he is teaching physical healing, spiritual growth, and fighting applications. He mentions Chi here and there, but rarely. When he was talking about standing to this girl, and I and someone else was in the middle of it. We were sweating, heating up, tremoring, you know, that state. He asked her if we looked like we were enjoying the beauty of our chi. Obviously we did not. Hearing things like this every once in a while makes me believe his approach is holistic.
  12. sacral chakra overactivity

buttocks back seems counterproductive since my teacher says to curve tailbone forward and lengthen the spine in horse stance. But for my particular goal?
  13. what do you know about this book. It contains excerpts and translations of exercises used by the 250yr old Li Ching-Yun. Qigong Teachings Of A Taoist Immortal
  14. Jade Dragon safety

Is this practice safe? Jade Dragon
  15. 8 Exercises of Master Li Ching-Yun

so it will be a good edition to my life-long taiji and eventual pa kua training?
  16. James Gilliland got abducted and told that are yearly cycle is off and 2012 is actually 2007, judging from the past year, and what's been happening with many people I know, like gangster kids deciding to meditate, and karmic reaction happening almost instantly, I can see that the mass awakening is already starting. I believe the book the Mayan Factor explains that we still have till 2037(or 2052?) till the full spectrum of the 2012(or 2007) has revolved.
  17. K?

I agree. Aura damage from drug use sucks to work with, lower astrals attach to that state easily. Shamans got it down though South American Shaman Retreat for some cultivators it might be worth it, I believe if my ego were in a certain place it could help, but that's for me or nature to decide and not anyone else.
  18. K?

People should speak from their experience. If an enlightened old yogi looks back on his life, and remembers that if he never did ketamine, he would have never began his path to enlightenment, would drugs be bad? I'm clean, i don't drink, i don't eat psychedelics anymore, i don't take aspirin, caffeine, etc... A good man in my family told me once that when he did ketamine, he astral projected into the sky, and embodied the taiji form he saw someone do at the park mid-air in front of the moon, and then flashed and flew into another neighborhood miles away, he found himself at the doorstep of a good friend of his. He went inside and had a jolly old classic time with him, nothing wild or anything. Someday I might be that yogi, and if I didn't undergo psychedelic trauma, than my path would have never started. Trauma can occur, but it is semi-synchronistic with fasting and dehydration trauma found within native american spiritual growth. I thank god my brain got fucked up for the time it did, I love that it happened to me, the most painful, dillusional and scary part of my life, is the part i'm most thankful for. all in my humble opinion, and just from my experience, which is the same and different than anyone elses.
  19. Drug Induced Enlightenment?

cool. sounds like a good experience. I must say that my experiences with non-organic drugs such as L-25 that have been reported as enlightening, have only been ego detachment tools. When you become sober, you still have your ego, but now you have a choice to act through it or not. Anyway, I think all drugs can do this, such as your experience, you detached from your ego to experience the natural state of bliss that the ego covers up. But the only drugs that can really raise consciousness as well as give non-egotistical perspective are those that contain the spirit of mother earth. Unlike indoor grown mushrooms, only outdoor naturally occuring. Just my opinion, that's all, nothing more.
  20. chakra notes

do the different chakras truely resonate with the 12 note scale, I see this all over the place but it doesn't ring true with me. The idea that the C note resonates with the root chakra, D for the spleen, E - solar plexus, F - heart, G - throat, A - third eye, B - crown. I just wanted to hear what you've all heard.
  21. taoists and karma

Is it just me, or does it seem like the taoist view isn't too concerned with karma, and more concerned with efficiency and effectiveness. Also considering sometimes taoists would promote eating free-range white meat.
  22. on taiji

I was about to ask a question about what you think of this book I just bought, but i'm going to read it with undiluted perspective and see for myself. on another note, what's the fastest way to stretch my hamstrings to where I can touch my toes? for now, i'm just going to keep trying to touch my toes.
  23. but I need to already have a bachelors degree... So i ask all of you common and uniquely minded people, what should I major in before I learn chinese medicine?
  24. What is a good shoe to wear during taiji on a hardwood floor? a shoe that I can wear all the time.
  25. little tiny question for your choice

I wish I would have seen this post before I got these: a very light shoe, with an adhesive like soft sole, but hard shell. I doubt the toe will stay lifted like that in action. Brown being by lucky elemental color.
