  1. Holy Harmony

Holy Harmony I just cleared my head and became aware of the sounds in Holy Harmony. It was a very VERY powerful meditation. If you haven't heard of it should know that hidden in the bible are 9 frequencies of sound that are said to be the creation frequencies. Dr. Len Horowitz suggests these frequencies tune you into the creator or the Tao. The major frequency 528hz happens to be the exact same frequency electrogeneticists send to damaged DNA to cause them to repair themselves and become aligned with it's function. It's said that by doing this with yourself, all of your DNA will be in alignment with their 'way', and soon you will become in alignment with your 'way' and in turn the Tao, this brings about 'miracles'. The other frequencies liberate you from gult and fear, undo situations and facilitate change, generate connectivity and relationships, bring out expressions and solutions, and awaken intuition. Anyway I did my first meditation on these frequencies and woah. It was powerful. My whole body resonated with the tuning forks Goldman honed to these frequencies. But from different chakras. One of the sounds would make a really strong pure blissful feeling resonate from my crown chakra and thru to my whole body in alignment with the sound, another make my heart chakra resonate with the frequency and flood my whole body from there. It was incredible. The song itself is about an hour, the power gradually heightens and about a half an hour you are really feeling the power. These were the sounds that the Levi Priests hid from us all. The same priests who could levitate and cure. I found the CD through torrent, i highly suggest you check it out.
  2. Gregory Fong

I'm going to go meet with Gregory Fong tommorow to learn from him, i was wondering if anyone knows of him in the portland area.. He seems like a good teacher, and my first teacher... I-Chuan.net
  3. Mixing meditations?

What do you think about doing different meditations in the same set? I do Mantak Chia's 'Microcosmic Orbit' and Chunyi Lin's 'Small Universe' and standing meditation. but I'd want to start doing Elemental Fusion and Iron Shirt if it wasn't a waste of time to do so.
  4. Mixing meditations?

you all make sense to me, thank you. I was just talking to my girfriend today about how I think I might be in too much of a hurry in my practice... I think I should just take a step back, and just practice breath awareness(as suggested). Along with t'ai chi, I will be doing myself good. Right before i came back and saw these posts I practiced breath awareness and felt something new. I also found dhamma.org and hope to go to a 10-day retreat next month. now my question is... I want to meditate for my mind, but have some practice for my health. I'm a little out of shape with too much fat on my stomach. I'm eating healthier.. Would you still do yoga? or just t'ai chi? also, what's a good book on reasonable nutrition, possibly with daoist or ayurvedic principles in it?
  5. Mixing meditations?

you might be right, but I know later on my path Chia's stuff will be invaluable
  6. awareness meditation

anybody got instructions? I watched the BK awareness meditation video but it only shows the breath go down the throat and a straight line into the stomach... Or should I feel my breath in the lungs?
  7. Mixing meditations?

words taken. I meet a t'ai chi teacher tommorow for the first time. hopefully I will be at liberty to talk to him about qigong instead of just taiji I'll post a thread with his website to see if anybody knows of him...
  8. Posture

Sitting posture on a chair. How do I make sure my back is straight cause it always seems to not be.....
  9. Mixing meditations?

Chunyi Lin has spoken over teleconference saying that you can do level 1, 2 and 3 of SFQ without a teacher to see the benefits. In level 1 you do a good meditation on the MO although he doesn't call it MO. It's on recording, plus a book. But as far as MO goes, what guidance could a teacher give that he couldn't speak?
  10. is it good practice to do Tan Tien Chi Kung before MO?
  11. Tan Tien Chi Kung before MO

Is his website his way, or the way your talking about? Cause I don't know if his site is ordered.....
  12. Tan Tien Chi Kung before MO

Very interesting, I thought since on Mantak Chia's site section "Spiritual Core", Iron Shirt and Tan Tien Chi Kung come after MO it'd be advised for me to do it that way.
  13. Mixing meditations?

yeah I think the Chunyi Lin's is more effective at clearing the channels but Mantak's more effective at empowering the channels. This is what it feels like anyways. This is mostly only because Mantak's 'Basic Sitting' meditation for MO pulls in mother earth energy, and than also from the higher self.
  14. Qigong that is cooling, grounding.

visualize the sun a foot in front of your third eye, and the moon a foot behind your sacrum. Pull the sun's energy into your third eye and thrugh and down your throat to your heart, then pull the moon's energy into your sacral/sexual center. combine these energies in the lower dantien. After its mixed and set, start your regular meditation. I used to have the same problem with astral meditations but mixing yin/yang like this kept me cool.
  15. Chi and Creativity

Wow is this book incredible. It is a fusion of everything Taoist. It is a whole path that could be taken and personalized from page one and from a beginner to any level. The main theme of the book is of meditation and reflection. Using meditation to bring about memories and images to reflect upon and interpret. The whole book has tons of greats meditations and great journal exercises and art projects to help your understanding of yourself. It goes through Zhan Zhuang, acupressure points with it's correlating meridians, organs, element. Intro to Tiger Breath qigong, qigong to increase creativity, and a bunch more. It's extremely integral, personalize-able, and more holistic than any other one book i've come across. Extremely useful for anyone in parapsychology, qigong, healing, all occult and earthly healing on any level.
  16. MMA vs taichi?

Anybody in here seen t'ai chi in a street fight or mma?
  17. tai chi?

I practice qigong and hatha/kundalini yoga everyday. Why should I practice tai chi? What is tai chi's purpose?
  18. Dr. Paul Lam

What do you guys think of Paul Lam's 24 forms for a first learned Taijiquan series?
  19. MMA vs taichi?

ahh i hear that. I just saw another thread on an almost identical topic anyway. the best way for me to find out is to spar against a brawler with taiji apps, i heard something, probably off the other thread about learning taiji and kung fu together. My soon to be teacher teaches yang and chen taiji and also kungfu and I-chuan so i'm sure he can teach me to fight. But there's always a maybe so or maybe not.
  20. Dr. Paul Lam

i've gotten in contact with a teacher and should start learning from him within the month...... would learning from a video be a complete waste of time?
  21. I found a teacher in my area, portland oregon, and he teaches I-Chuan, Chen and Yang Taiji, and Kung Fu. I'm mostly interested in the mental affects but partially interested in applications and longevity effects of taiji but I heard something about choosing a style of based on your body type, can anyone help me with my choice?
  22. your words on yang or chen taijiquan

cool, he teaches both chen and yang, and he seems very good and he's been recommended by many people on two different online communitie. he actually teaches chen and yang taijiquan, kung fu, and I-chuan. So I guess I have many choices, but I don't know what I-chuan is, and I don't really know what kung fu is at it's core. I got the same impression on chen in its hardness and it being applicable.
  23. tai chi?

so what type of imagination? is it basically awareness meditation in motion? or does it involve color, energy points, chakras?
  24. Distance Healing

Anybody know where to go(books or teachers) to learn distant healing?
  25. Vajra Guru Mantra Meditation as taught by H.H. Penor Rinpoche
